Possibly the most technically gifted boxer this world has and ever will see. He biggest opponent was himself. What a fuckin amazing fighter and also great person hes turned into.
I went to Manchester to watch Mike Tyson destroy Francis and took my mother along who was also a big Mike Tyson fan. The crowd went mental with excitement roaring Mike on, it was an experience I will never forget. The brutal honesty in this video is breathtaking, Mike is a totally unique boxer in that he never glorifies himself like most boxers do, he tells it like it is!
because I very like and absolutely respect Mike for human instincts, modesty, assertiveness.Mike was vever arrogant/proud.media really dislike him and used each occasion to provoke him and ridicule him.fights organizators/promotors also made fake, false smileys.
media and system organized/planed rape to extort/extract hard earned money.it was seted,contracted,agreemented/matched.morover media like scandals, sensations.they all seted theirself against Mike.hiden/masked/silent contract

I tell you I miss these days in the 80s watching this on Pay-per-view my parents yelling cuz they paid $50 to watch it 2 minute fight this was my childhood though
Mike lived with Camille & Cus D'Amato from the time he was 12 or 13 years old. When Cus & Jimmy Jacobs passed away & Robin Givens humiliated him on national television accusing him of battery & mental illness, & Don King got his hooks in him putting back all the hate & racism & insecurity, & he was falsely accused of rape serving 3 of a 6 year sentence...I think he devolved or at least let the thug come out of the dungeons of his mind...Because Mike speaks honestly...He is not contrived...He wears his heart on his sleeve...I don't think he knows any other way to be. I love boxing & boxing history. Did you watch the whole video? Have you seen a lot of his other interviews, past & present? I'm asking honestly, not being a smart ass
Liza Pierce Hi, not sure if youre talking to me. Ive watched quite a few Mike Tyson documentires yes. He certainly does wear his heart on his sleeve. I too love the history of boxing, have huge respect for a lot of these boxers who have come from absolute poverty and literally fought their way out of it. Lets face it, its hard for anyone to make something of themselves let alone if youre living in total poverty. The Cus, Rooney and Atlas days of Tyson were just incredible. After Prison... he died off as a boxer but took time to grow in other ways.
Mike knows so much about boxing...i wish he would train young kids that are from the ghetto and give them hope and a future that cus gave him...he would b the best teacher...he would tap into the late great cus....mike 4 trainer!!!! Put a boxing gym at the Tyson Ranch
Prison eroaded his skills fast...no head movement ..not as quick ..power not as much..no jab..always lookin 4 the 1 punch knockout..forgot how to box...he lost all his confidence. The longer the fight would go ...if.u got past the 3rd round mike knew it wasnt his night and lost all composure ..sad ..but. Lots of life lessons ..i watch videos of mike everyday..hes the biggest superstar in the world stil..and he is now in control of himself ..life is a beautiful thing when u dont waste it and u are constantly learning...love ya mike
Lewis always glorifies that story of him sparring with Mike, yet Mike said its unfair fight for Lennox because Lennox was still amateur with less experience.
wow i as a kid i was a boxer at this gym u was there all the time then when I was atMR STEEL i meet him ALI i hav the pic to this day ! RIP Hal Miller las vegas urbannews702
These guys seem to think Tyson entered the game of boxing already possessed with an innate reputation as a destroyer, when in fact this reputation had to be built through his skills in the ring, and of course Cayton's Media contacts. Tyson fought alot of tough opponents, many of whom were olympic gold medalists with undefeated records in the pro's, but they don't get the credit they deserve simply because of their unexciting styles and relative modernity when compared to the greats of the past.
I have watched interviews when Tyson was in his 20s and when he was young, and he seemed like he was a good person. When he was 27 he got interviewed i prison by Larry King and seemed to have a good philosophy, like he did in these interviews; did he just get sick of being treated like shit and get mad all the time? I'm not him, but disagree with what he said about be immature before. he may have been about some things, but he seemed nice and smart a long time ago..
He was a disciplined fighting machine happy to be in their gradually wearing them down, but with the limited fighters he faced early in his career he obviously wanted to make a statement and get rid of them quickly.
Mike won the dougals fight!!! He knocked him out in the 8th ..it was a 12 second count ...fuckin robbed...but mike was out partying all night in Tokyo drinkin doin coke...and still went the distance..
Becuase you need to look at the bigger picture, the man worked his absolute balls off came from the gutter to become the youngest heavyweight champ ever, everyone loved him, couldn't get enough of him, but in the end they crucified him like they did Jesus.
Exactly, and that's nonsense anyway. I mean, absolutely many guys were terrified but this myth that Tyson was a bully... for one it's laughable because of the fact Tyson was a midget in the Heavyweights, he was a small guy; secondly he beat Razor Ruddock TWICE, and that guy was not afraid at all. Tyson beat many great fighters, he just made most LOOK terrible; Tyson's best asset was his defense, that's why when he stopped moving his head he started losing.
I wish he stayed with kevin... And the original Tyson Team...man it would have been amazing..he would have retired..80+ wins...and maybe maybe maybe 1 loss..cause everybody has at least 1 bad night....but he might have went 100 wins and no losses ...but they knew they had to break up the tyson team and don king had to runin mike .and they had it planned . they knew if he went to jail when he came out he would be even bigger ..everyone loves a come back or they love the fall of greatness...they wanted mike to lose his mind ...but now mike is the champ of his family and his life ..im so happy for him
philmybod41 - a nobody slagging someone who has accomplised a huge amount in their life, mike tyson - youngest heavyweight champ in histroy, i know whose opinion matters more.
A lot of wisdom from Mike here.
A 19 year old professional monster.

You can tell Mike really loves Cus and missed him deeply.

I wish Mike was able to fight Evander during this time instead of after prison.
I wish Mike was able to fight Lewis during this time also. He mentions him at 7:53
Mike knows so much about boxing...i wish he would train young kids that are from the ghetto and give them hope and a future that cus gave him...he would b the best teacher...he would tap into the late great cus....mike 4 trainer!!!! Put a boxing gym at the Tyson Ranch

Lewis always glorifies that story of him sparring with Mike, yet Mike said its unfair fight for Lennox because Lennox was still amateur with less experience.
good come back
13:20 Great quote
I'm pretty sure you've done bad things too but you've disguised them pretty well.
wow i as a kid i was a boxer at this gym u was there all the time then when I was atMR STEEL i meet him ALI i hav the pic to this day ! RIP Hal Miller las vegas urbannews702
Lol! Gotta love the look of shock and confusion on the announcer's face at the end when they switch from the interview. hahaha
meathook3000 LMAO LOOKED LIKE LLOYD CHRISTMAS
Think if Cus had lived, his peak may have been a lot longer

Best quote in the video, puts too bed those idiots who say his pre-fight intimidation was his main asset.
the last interview is great what timeline was this around?

yes i agree, except for the part where he said he would knock lennox lewis out.
10:01 interview any one know details about it? where it was and year? was very real talk by mike
11:18 "No brother, noooo" LMAOO yeah Julius Francis had absolutely no chance in hell.
Понимать бы что он говорит, эх молодой Тайсон легенда
this is at like Dec. 1999 or Jan. 2000 before the Julius Francis fight
Before he met Cus i think he was immature, but the was in a good mindset for a while. just couldnt deal with people anymore.
Mike won the dougals fight!!! He knocked him out in the 8th ..it was a 12 second count ...fuckin robbed...but mike was out partying all night in Tokyo drinkin doin coke...and still went the distance..
LUCIUS SWEET
i see why Pac loved this dude so much

Joe did not slip, load and punch. Floyd Patterson fought more like Tyson minus the explosive counter punching.
tysons rape career. thats what matters most.
"I don't go out there to KO a guy in a matter of seconds" ROFL yeah. Somehow I don't believe that.
philmybod41 - a nobody slagging someone who has accomplised a huge amount in their life, mike tyson - youngest heavyweight champ in histroy, i know whose opinion matters more.
Go kid dynamite
3:30 they behave like British people but have American accent
Antidepressants ruined Mike Tyson in my opinion. It screwed up his mind.
6:46
DREDERICK TATUM
I think it's because of weed drugs and older (you become more loosen)
very smart man but he did a lot of dumb things. I really pull for him in life though
Frazier's skills out dated compared to Tyson. And two times quicker than him
he looks like he's been hitting the crack pipe around 11:00
gotta agree man lol
Man Mike tyson lied a bunch back then
