In the original book, when Jekyll becomes Mr Hyde, he doesn't transform into a different person, he just drops his inhibitions. The only thing is that Hyde is shorter and looks younger. Mind hist i refer to the thor flashback or forward and the pool scene in ultron, i refer to civil war clearly spending its time to set up for thanos not really sure where to go with the story at the end or what to do with each character, also constant mentions of greater world and greater story with the infinity stones, they have nearly all been affected, sometimes its not a direct scene taking away but the fact that the movie loses out (like in spiderman homecoming) just because there trying to fit it into the world, its also always pushing you to the next movie, saying that movie will better this promise of the next installment, heavily reducing individuality of the movies, meaning watching a film feels more like a series than just to be satisfied with the individual movie, with few exceptions.

      yeah, this one wasn't too over the top like in the Van Helsing movie, this one has very obvious differences but he looks the same as he did as Jekyll and I really liked that

      I strongly suggest watching the miniseries Jekyll. James Nesbitt is magnificent as Jekyll and Hyde.

    Little known fact, in the book, Hyde was originally shorter than Jekyll. In the Victorian mindset, evil was hunched and diminutive rather than ogresome. It just shows what simplistic short sighted twits we've become to instantly assume Hyde should be a hulking, destructive giant.

    • @thegoodfather1177
      @thegoodfather1177 7 лет назад +10

      The shortness was also due to jekyll never exercising his darker emotions. Hyde started out weak and small, then grew in strength and height as it progressed.

      Well, if you ask me, that kind of depiction is made by arrogant twats who think evil is below them.
