All this game footage is my own gameplay, which I recorded and edited to my channel using OBS Studio. All the fade-in between some clips is part of my editing on Adobe Premiere from my own captured gameplay for entertaining and educational purposes. Ferris is played by Sam Witwer, who played Starkiller in Star Wars, played Darth Maul. And he played the main character in Days Gone.
I recently downloaded forced unleashed 2, it’s just as fun for me as when I was a kid trying the demo for the first time
He was also Crashdown in Battlestar Galactica.
Bruh Ferris literally wore a glove that make him able to use "the force". I mean, all those force push & lifting in the cutscene? Can't be more obvious reference than that

I love that he wasn't a complete A-hole to begin with, he is just doing his job and he actually feel Jacob's situation and willing to talk for the sake of getting things done in a civil manner much like irl. He only trash Jacob around when the place turn hell and he is under stress which is understandable in some extend. The writer & story teller did a great job here.
was it ever explained how he didn't transform the normal way? was he injected with something prior to the events of the game?

Essentially there was a single survivor in an old outbreak who was able to keep his mind rather than having some sort of creature speaking in his mind, but that survivor was killed because despite being sapient he looked and behaved like a monster. Ferris is similar: whatever genetic rarity he has, it makes him able to keep his sanity. Or at least so it appears. Personally, considering all the infected on record talk about voices in their heads, I think that people like Ferris are simply more compatible and make better hosts, being more subtly subsumed over time. Whatever this infection is, it behaves more like some sort of terraforming/bioforming agent.
@cagney billingsley Essentially the entire point of the Callisto Protocol was to find someone like Ferris. Someone who was mutated into a super soldier rather than a mindless zombie.

In his first mutated form he looks like a Mr.X reject but then his final form looks like a dead space boss

Man this game had SO MUCH potential. If only they had put as much effort into the gameplay and enemies as they did the graphics and story.
Let's be honest, the story isn't the best thing about the game either.

It could be just me, but it kinda sounded like he's trying to keep himself together momentarily while he snickered. Like a hint to his transformation in phase 2.
The way he said "are you special" was ice cold and amazing.
I love how much this guy relishes in his inhumanity. Like, he violently transforms into a squamous behemoth and what’s his first reaction? Look at new form with glee!
I love how Jacob shoots ferris without hesitation. Like, that would be my reaction too, not having a long conversation how bad the guy is. Great behavior of the characters
I truly love the fact that he does not go insane when he enters his final form but instead comes to terms with always having a price to pay

Confusing bit about Ferris is that at the very end scene you see him pops out from nowhere for jumpscare and he somehow regained his mutated form after his final mutilated figures.
I think that's in Jacob's mind.
It's a hallucination like Isaac's at the end of Dead Space 1
Hallucination as an Easter egg to the first Dead Space.
I personally like to think that he hulked out during the fight due to damage or stress and then shed the hulk form after his defeat when he was knocked out. Or maybe the infection brought him back to life. Either way, maybe we can get more Ferris in the future. 😂😂😂

This dude is basically a manifestation when star wars is in a resident-evil atmosphere. He can be tyrannical and non-melancholic charachter which is unlike any tyrants from RE franchise, this one looks dope. Gonna give this video game the best reviews after all

Nah, he got infected when Jacob released the bios on him. Literally the entire "Callisto Protocol" was a way to get another "Alpha" because the first one from the colony died. It just so happened that the Alpha ended up being Ferris, probably because of his anger and sheer will to live which mutated the virus like the original Patient Zero.

I say that Ferris was the most interesting character in the game. His physical transformation and the change in his intellectual resolution were distinct.

I like how his 2nd transformation he looks like some kind of WWE wrestler reject and even has their corny insults like the part where he says during the fight, "You're gonna have to do -" then Jaco shoots him in the face to cut him off and all you hear is "BALAAGAHAGHAGAGAH!!!" LOL. 3:30
They never really do answer why he’s ‘special’ or why the warden wanted him alive, I was expecting to find out we were some super soldier or something but it just never happened
They do explain it. The warden was planning on releasing the specimens that night.
So Jacob was never going to be able to leave, as to why they were told to capture them it's just him trying to preemptively cover his tracks. Jacob was hauling his illegal creatures around.
Jacob was Transferring illegal Bioweapons, That why the warden wanted him in the prison cause if he gets out he’ll spill the beans
Jacob been hauling virus samples between Callisto and Europa so he’s pretty much a loose end that the warden is taking care of
Would've been better if he was a criminal or someone trying to expose the space illuminati but instead were given a pilot with guilt and that's all

I actually had fun with his boss battles, sure I died a few times but I was laughing due to me getting my ass beaten to a pulp
When this dude transformed he made me laugh every time he was on screen, his voice kept getting funnier
He reminds of Buffalo Bill or that alien cockroach when it was in human skin and asked for “sugar..in water.”
Love the delivery on that line at the airlock.

You really feel the insanity and the inhumanness starting to creep over this guy. I wish they had leaned more into that--bit of a disservice to his performance to have him become "Big Faceless Dude Guy Enemy #1,000".
@THAT GUY In the moment at the airlock, you're genuinely afraid of what Ferris is *becoming.* It's really spooky--to have him then show up an hour or so later going "RAAA! RAAA! RAAA!" as essentially a Space Marine is a real "okay... I guess" moment.
He's been using the force even in other games.
I really thought the "will to live" something something is some-thing Jacob has that made him immune or some sort of another cool protag hero powers that made Me think the real "alpha" was Jacob because he kept getting bitten by a long head yet no infection. Mate, I guess I am confused.

The ending sort of threw me for a loop, if I'm honest. Not the doctor appearing, but Captain Ferris. Last time Jacob had seen Ferris, he had become a fleshy monstrosity, completely unrecognizable in his new form. How and why did he revert back to this midpoint transformation?

@@betweenthescript7759 If you're talking about Jacob withdrawing a sample from Ferris, I suppose it's possible but seems extremely unlikely. Just withdrawing a tissue sample wouldn't feasibly have that kind of "devolutionary" effect on any reasonably imagined creature. I understand we're talking about a sci-fi horror yarn here, but believability is acting within the perceived and set limits of your world. I think if that were the answer it would be a very "well whatever, just because" kind of solution.

The final confrontation between Jacob and Ferris was perfect. Jacob knows he hardly survived his encounter with the mutated Ferris back in the alien room, and you can tell how scared Jacob is when Ferris speed walks to "thank" him

The faces are so photorealistic but a lot of the time their mouths just don't move as much as they should when they talk

I'd love to be able to create more space in fights. Everything is too slow..
