Everything you need to know about the STLA platform by Stellantis

Stellantis is working on an all new ‘STLA’ family of platforms, which will be underpinning future electric vehicles from all of its brands. As per this plan, every model from Stellantis which is sold in U.S. and European markets will have a pure electric variant by the end of the decade.
The roll-out of vehicles underpinned by STLA platform will begin in late 2023. The STLA family will have four different platforms - STLA Small for entry-level products (with 500+ km of range), STLA Medium for premium vehicles (with 700 km+ range), STLA Large for performance models (with 800 km+ range) and STLA FRAME for ladder-on-frame UVs (with 800 km+ range)
The STLA family of platforms is flexible enough to allow power systems that can produce up to 330 kW. The platforms will also have driveline flexibility of front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and 4xe.
Stellantis is also working on a dual-chemistry strategy of the battery cells for its electric vehicles. The group will be using Nickel Cobalt-free cells in lower-end models and Nickel-based cells for higher-end models. The next 3-5 years will witness eight pure electric models from Stellantis.
