😂 Oh confidence…What an elusive creature. Thanks for sharing though! I have a couple older brothers too, and this was actually their favorite. It’s funny, your experience of SMB1 was actually mine with SMB3, and your experience with SMB3 was mine with SMW! It’s crazy how these games can be accessible enough to bring literal toddlers into their imaginative world but also deep and complex enough to be engaging for those same people to play 20 years later. Incredible!
Thanks man! Actually, I haven’t! Things got pretty busy and crazy for a couple months there, and I haven’t really gotten to return to it yet. But I’m doing a season of reflections on Zelda soon and will stream the OoT finale then!
I remember when we all begged for the Koopalings to come back and a new Mario sidescroller... Honestly, I wouldn't mind the Koopalings still joining things like Mario Party or having fresh, new boss fights... just not treating them like Sega constantly forcing Green Hill and Chemical Plant into everything to pander to nostalgia.
Totally hear you there. I’ve got a lot of love for the Koopalings and think they’re a super creative addition to the Mario cast, but just like with anything else, I want their inclusion to be merited, not just thrown in there.
