Such a fantastic job on your paints they are beautiful. Thank you very much for sharing and can't wait to see the next video. The channel is absolutely crushing it and wishing you continued success. Everyone keep yourselves and love ones safe and healthy and remember to SMILE 😊God Bless 🙏
Could you do a test with the clear colors over neon colors? I'm quite curious about how the result will turn out.
They are all beatiful colors. Really. Thanks BR, looking to seeing next weeks release of your new colors.
I am so impressed by this video and the huge range of color combinations you can get, I ordered your complete set from splash paints and the clear candy colors. I can’t wait to use them on my kits👏👍
Thanks John and thanks for your support
Once again a great video. This is one reason I use Tamiya and your great splash colors!
I'm just blown away at all the new colors created.
You did it again! Another, Great Video!
Rex, awesome results! Thank you for cranking that out so quick! Those look fantastic!
LOOK AT THAT !!!
Awesome paints, great video, thanks.
Got some pretty cool colors out of using the clears I'm gonna have to play around tithyour color set that should be on the way an the Tamiya clears witch I have also 👍👍🏻
An thanks for another awesome cool video Robert
Great video. Love the possibilities!!!
Enjoying the color selection of your new paint line!
Love the nocturne red with the red candy looove it.
Just started building my MG Char Z’Gok . The suit is going to be your nocturne red. Excited to spray it on a kit!
I love the paint line of Tamiya.Good to know about the candy line
You do a great job with your airbrush and I love watching you use it. I have to use just a paint brush and it's nothing compared to the way you make it look. I would love to be able to afford an airbrush but that will probably never happen so I'll just keep watching you. Please keep making videos.
Send me an email, I can help you triggerfish65@gmail.com
GREAT video Robert keep em coming I'll keep watching. Love your paints, bought lots of them.
Holy cow I gotta get some clears I just got like 6 or 7 ideas for some kits. That shadowgreen with the clear green will be going on my MG Altron. Looking forward to the new set and plan on grabbing one.
Bet they look great on cars and trucks. Great Job!
I really enjoy your paint tests; it helps a lot since almost no one does it. I have a Dodge Sidewinder show truck in my stash, and after a lot of reasearch, I still can't find any info on the official color that was used. All my eyes can tell me is that it's pretty close to House Of Color's Tangelo pearl that was in vogue during that era... But your paint tests/reviews really help me getting closer to what I want!!! Thanks a lot!!!
A bit later along in the video, it's also starting to give me ideas to replicate the weird pearl green for Monogram's Callaway Corvette Speedster!!!!
Backaddabenchhh!!! Candy, candy, candy.
Coming to support the video and the channel thank you as always. Look forward to the next video. Be well be you.
thanks for these videos
That Nocturne Red is exquisite.
Yes it is.... like I'm going to do my MG Sazubi with it.
@@dorsk84 A brilliant choice.
I've recently fallen in love with Createx's Candy2o line. I'm doing a HG XXXG-01S Shenlong with a base coat of silver for the white parts, and candied red, blue, yellow, and green over the silver.
I think the paints I got where overthinned. When I tried to do a 3 layer application on some primed spoons it kept eating away at the primer making small holes and dents. When I switch to a Gaia primer with Gaia thinner it kept looking like old skin!
I managed to finally get them to work by using Hobby mio gloss black as base and it had no negative reaction.
5:30 almost looks like Nissan Midnight Purple, if added a bit more blue/purple, would get there
I love this stuff. And hate it cause now I need some of these paints.....
I'm still trying to find a good clear that only shifts one color. Like a white part that the only shimmers blue or red. But it doesn't tint the clear blue or red... or fogs it.
I wanna see you work on the kit!
What can cause paint to rub off after it is dried.
I airbrushed Tamyia Flat Aluminum used the leveler and Alcohol like you showed… paint just isn’t hardened.
Man I love these colors! Curious about air compressors. Is there a preference for the type used in airbrushing? Oil free or oil based? Piston vs diaphragm? Thanks!
I use this oil free one for years, it's great

@@barbatosrex9473 is this the black base you use as primer?
Mr. Hobby Aqueous HSF03 Black Surfacer 1000 40ml
Some beautiful colors.....got a question about airbrush..........right now I'm using a cheap dual action I got on Amazon......I'm wanting to try something a little better.......what would you recommend that's not crazy expensive? Thanks Jeff
I recommend this airbrush, you can't beat the price and quality, it's the company that makes mine

Tell me more about what splash colors are.
It's a paint brand from the US that features real automotive colors
Robert, stunning results. Two Questions: When do you think your acrylic line will be coming and will the Tamiya Clears go over the acrylics without reactions? Maybe a gloss coat (Pledge) over the acrylic first? Thanks and congrats on your anodized line of paints
They're sending me the samples of them now. I haven't had problems with Tamiya over acrylics. Test on a spoon first but you shouldn't have a problem
Perfect. Thanks for the reply.
So I was airbrushing with a glow acrylic craft paint. It was a palmer paints brand paint, I've thinned and airbrushed those before with no issues but it clogged up my airbrush really bad and I'm not sure why. I was left with this goopy residue in my airbrush and it probably took me an hour to clean it and it's still not spraying right. I watched your spraying acrylics video again looking for guidance but I have no idea what went wrong or how to get the rest of this gunk out.
Try using super hot water brewed from a coffee pot or boiled on the stove
So what are they? Clear coat but colored?
Hi B-Rex just wondered if you know why we in the uk only get the Tamiya mini 10 ml jars ? Jay from England.
Not sure, we have both available here but most stores I shop at carry the larger ones
Is the copper fire going to be restocked?
Yes
Any idea when they are going to produce more of your paints?
unfortunately only the giveaway sets are available.
I just had them produce another batch of my colors so they will be back in stock soon
@@barbatosrex9473 awesome
Great results in a great majority of combinations. Only one question, were you painting without the air cup on your airbrush? I watched the video on my cel phone and couldnt notice it clearly. Want to know if you believe its better to paint without it.
Cup? Or do you mean cap?
@@barbatosrex9473 i meant the air cap, according to gaahleri airbrush diagram is the part in front of the nozzle cap that is removable.
When I spray multiple colors in a row I leave it off, quicker clean up
@@barbatosrex9473 that's a great tip. I'm starting in airbrushing and I'm looking for easier and more convinient ways to paint and clean/maintain my equipment. Thank you so much.
I was wondering have you heard of Mister Paint paints? If you have do you know where I can get some bottles in the US. I'm trying to purchase FS36170 lacquer paint
I believe Sprue Brothers sells them
Awesome work as always, trying to wait patiently for your paints to come in the mail. So excited.
Are you using Mr. Hobby Aqueous HSF03 Black Surfacer 1000 as a primer on some of these
Yes
What kind of clear red you use on that nocturne red ?
Tamiya X-27 Clear Red
is there somewhere that you post your finished kits?
I used to post them on Instagram but I stopped building when the channel took off. So now I balance my day job with the channel and my wife's injury. Now we've discovered she broke her back when she fell and we're going in for an MRI Tuesday
@@barbatosrex9473 oh that's unfortunate to hear. hopefully things take a turn for the better soon.
It seems like when I mix Tamiya candy blue and candy red, I just get the equivalent of smoke - not purple.
To much blue . I would say start at two thirds red .
Wow, maybe different formulas. There's a few clear purples out there. Modo, SMS, Dspiae, Jumpwind. Try and get one of those. Also try mostly red and a couple drops of blue
Did you reduce the tamiya clears ? with what if you did so plzz
Here I reduced them with the rubbing alcohol 6 parts paint to 4 parts alcohol
@@barbatosrex9473 Wow ! I would think the rubbing alcohol would evaporate to fast but it turn out wicked! Can I get away with Tamiya X-20A ?
Yes, it's basicly the same thing
whats a good uv reactive brand?
SMS
@@barbatosrex9473 you're the man for a reason
Really nice however I dont trust in the sealing of your paints. I spent money in your 2k paints ( matte, clear and the black) and the aluminnum one. All of them evaporated or became unusable without opening the bottle one time. Pretty disappointed honestly
When do the paints ship ? I ordered them like a week ago no update yet
