    Today, I have the 2017 Lexus RX350 in the Executive trim package. This premium SUV competes against the Audi Q5, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, Jaguar F-Pace and many others. The Lexus sets itself from its competitors by offering a striking design and a focus on refinement. This 2-row, midsize SUV cruises through town and down the highway in a refined and dignified manner.
    FULL DISCLOSURE
    I approached Lexus of Royal Oak and asked if I could produce videos of their vehicles for my channel. They liked my honesty and structure of my reviews. I have created this video for my channel and the dealership is sharing them on their social media platforms too. They have no creative control and do not edit these videos. I create, edit and produce these videos exactly how I create, edit and produce my other reviews from the manufacturers.

    Could not agree more. The Hybrid is even more isolated. My family took a 16 hour road trip and it was not tiring at all. By far, the RX is one of the best long distance cruisers.

    I bought this from Lexus of Royal Oak few months ago, I love it driving to work between Banff and Canmore. I hated the seats on F Sport 3 model. I didn't feel comfortable on F sport seat structure. I love the seats on the Canadian Execu model.

    Wireless phone charging was in the 2016 in models sold in the US, but for some reason Lexus decided to remove that feature for 2017 thru present. I wish they'd bring it back.

    I am pretty sure the touch-less open system is designed for people that have there hands full with stuff all you have to do is wave the back of your hand over the badge and it will open without you having to put something down on the ground first to use the button.
    I have a ES 350 with a powered rear boot and i have to put my bags down to open it, If i had the touch-less system i would not have to do what i do just to open my boot.

    Great review! Considering this is a mid-size SUV, i'm surprised by the lack of headroom. What is your height?

    They must have different trim packages in Canada. In the US, it's either the Premium Package or Luxury Package. I have a 2017 with the latter. I wonder if "Executive" is another term for "Luxury"?

    • @paulahartwick6372
      @paulahartwick6372 5 лет назад +1

      Yeah, it's confusing for us Canadians. We have a Luxury package and an Executive package, Executive being the top trim. So I see videos for a "Luxury" RX and skip it thinking it's the lower trim level when it's really the top trim in the US.

    If you have driven the current generations Honda CR-V or Acura RDX with a sunroof, how does each compare with the Lexus mid-size SUV, when it comes to driver headroom?

    • @maxlandireviews
      @maxlandireviews  6 лет назад

      Sadly I haven’t driven either car, so I can’t give my honest opinion. I am 6’4” but I rarely come across a car (excluding sports cars) that has poor headroom for me

    At 1:48 you mention the Executive trim package has the wireless phone charging... I'm ordering the new 2018 RX350 and the dealer can not confirm the wireless phone charging to be a feature. Can you support your claim?

    • @maxlandireviews
      @maxlandireviews  6 лет назад

      I’m doubtful that the 2018 executive trim would remove the wireless phone charging capabilities. I know Honda dealers can install a wireless charging base within their shop. Have you looked through the 2018 configurator?

    • @NetITGeeks
      @NetITGeeks 6 лет назад

      +hddive55, USA version has no wireless phone charging. The only Canadian version has it. The US version get the remote starter and bunch of online controls for your car via an app, which Canadians don't get. US version also has live FM -HD traffic updates on nevigation models, while Canadians don't.

    Normally looks are a matter of opinion, but not this time. The front end on the new Lexus is so objectively ugly my wife uses it to illustrate aesthetic depravity to her art students.
