    I literally bought one of these 10 days ago. The third row is very small, I can sit back there but it is not fun. Now, my family did some testing on this and you can adjust the second row to where it is comfortable and that gives just enough room in the third to be doable. This is for adults, with small kids it is even easier. No, you won't want to take it on a long road trip but for trips around town, it is very nice to have. I am happy with it for sure.

    I just wish that all the luxury brands would make a mini van just as a concept for fun.

      Actually, Toyota, Lexus and Honda all make luxury Minivans in other world markets. They are just not available in America. I wish it is. The only reason I don't like the New Sienna, Odyssey, Pacifica and Sedona is its louder and not as smooth as any Lexus SUV. I would buy a Lexus Minivan in a heartbeat.

    If anyone wants to know, I’m a 5’ 10” teenager and the third row on the RXL was horrible. The entry into the third row was hard off the bat. For a person of my height it was a little bit of a jump to get in and a slide to get out. The second row was easy to slide forward bust hard to lock into place. With the second row in the furthest forward position, my legs fit just barely. I was surprised with all the room cut from the second row if you wanted to “use” the third row. For my headspace in the third row, it was worse. My head “fit” but was pushed up against the headliner. The size of the seat was “accommodating” though. I thought the power fold third row would be a great feature but it is suppppperrr annoying. If it’s not fully closed or open there is a “whine” that goes on foreverrr! It is also not one-touch so you have to hold the buttons for quite some time for it to do its thing. I would have preferred for it to be manual third row seats just to loose the whining. All in all the RXL is a great SUV amazing seats, huge screen, and stellar Lexus reliability and quality. The third row is definitely a good for emergency” seating ONLY for little kids. Oh yea and that $200 “hands free tailgate” thing is fun but useless, you have to hover your hand (only, I’ve tried shoulder etc.) above the Lexus logo parallel to the slant above it.

      Thanks! I tweaked my back, so Mason decided to give the interior a shot so I wouldn't have to twist and turn. I think he did a great job!

      He most definitely did. You taught him well! Lol! I hope your back gets to feeling better, if not already. I know how that is. I hurt mine severely on a roller-coaster ride I really had no business being on when I was 14. I am now 32 and it has never been the same sense.

      That's good. Yeah, it's a beast sometimes for me, I can't lift my self straight forward from off my back, I have to roll over and get up and if I get to cold, my whole mid-section locks up like I'm in a vice-grip. Very painful.

    Another Awesome Review, Love watching all your videos. If at all possible can you do a video on the 2018 Subaru Forester...it has no rear climate control but overall it seems to be a fun vehicle with some neat tricks.

    Although the RX350 wins on the interior side, the MDX is still a better choice when it comes to ride, driving dynamics, size, and exterior styling.

    Lexus’s use of space in this vehicle was absolutely abysmal. I was impressed by the front seats but when you got to the second and third row and the cargo area, I was appalled at how impractical and uncomfortable it is compared to the Acura MDX

  • @vaderundershorts
    @vaderundershorts 6 лет назад

    Wow, did Lexus even think out how to implement the 3rd row? Four generations of RX to get this for a 3rd row RX? Super disappointed that my '99 RX300 won't get replaced any time soon, and my '10 MDX will ride again...

    I'm surprised that neither the 2017 nor the 2018 RX350 has either Apple Car Play or Android. I Lexus/Toyota that far behind most other upscale SUV's?

  • @King_Kenny66

    I like the car but, they should have skipped the third row in favour of a luxury second row. Better off with a Lx460 or whatever they call their larger suv. Nice job doing the bulk of this review Mason.

      I was really hoping to replace my 09 Highlander Limited with this model. But agree with you there. The 3rd row is horrendous, and second row felt very "plain" for a luxery vehicle. Looking at the XC90 or Q7 now.

    Why is there absolutely no space behind the third row. Anyway, I just got my car serviced today, and I was looking at the 2018 Toyota Sequoia Platinum. I beg you to do a review on it. It now has LED Low and High Beams, LED Daytime running lights, and LED Turn Signals. So Please do a review on it. Make sure it is not the base SR5, make sure it is the Platinum Model. Get it as loaded as you can, so your can show off its features. Believe me I have seen them. So I beg you please?

      As soon as you are inside and driving it (we bought the RX 350)....all goes out the window about how the front grill looks. We test drove several crossovers, and the Lexus blew them all out of the water w/ the silky smooth ride, and luxury interior features....all safety features you could ever want are standard,and with just a couple upgrades beyond base....it's absolutely incomparable to others in this class. This car drives itself...the cabin is ridiculously quiet to top it all off. I'll trade the grill for a true luxury experience.
