- I'll show you how to make a beautiful rustic charred American flag out of wood. The American flag has very precise ratios, regardless of the size. You can check out those specifications here:

Great piece! I just uploaded my first video to my channel. I subscribed to yours because you have some great content that I could definitely find useful.
Nicely done! 👍
You can use rustoleum and water some down if its to thick.
stack pennies on the star stencil to hold it down while painting!
where did you get the stencil from for the stars?
After making my CAD drawing, I drew the star configuration that worked with my flag size and contacted someone on Etsy to make it for me. I bought 3 for the 3 different sized flags that I make.
Cams Customs if you need a stencil, gogto Jeff Furrs webstie he has them for $10 . thefurrminator.com/shop/ good luck

Dude... just use pencil or long wooden stick.
what kind of stain did you use?
I used a water-based stain that I had custom color tinted to be a red and a blue. It's not something that you can buy off the shelf.
You can go to Lowe's and have them mix the blue and the red. It's called True Blue in the Minwax water based stain. They also have a red they can mix as well. I work in the paint department at a local store and have done this for several customers.
Hello - could you tell me exactly what you used to get the red and blue stains? would love to make this project but having a hard time finding them anywhere and i don't have much experience mixing stain and paint.
peter kosatka these are custom colored minwax stains. They're not of the shelf, sorry.
peter kosatka Jeff Furr has a video on what stains he uses, they are from Lowe's and he gives the Home Depot colors too, check him out he has great flag videos
I get mine at Lowes. Minwax waterbase solid stain. Scarlet for the red and Navy for the blue.
True blue and scarlet. They are sold at lowes they will tint them there. This guy obviously doesn't want to help others out.
The only way that burning a flag is acceptable.
I like your work but not the distresed look. Colors should be vibrant on a flag
