Phil Mogg had such a soulful voice,he really deserved a lot more fame and recognition, but still,as we all know,he had a better time than most of us ever will,so good for him.
Sort of new to me even tho dad and him used to knock about back in the 60s and 70s with PINKWIND a mix of Hawkwind and My new Fav Band The PINK FAIRIES so much new old music for my ears to enjoy even at 52 still finding new tunes. Shared it on my Facebook page Hawkwind Music And Times as it had a link with Larry but more so as a great few tracks music rocks xx
Yes, Harlan, you've made that point previously. I understand your disdain for the magic that is metal and hard rock. Good to hear from you again! ROCK ON!!!!
Wow what a freaking surprise find I really loved the early UFO they had a spacey rocking phase there for a while Truly good shit shit let’s smoke some to the smoking rock back in the day when rock was solid
Outstanding! Larry, Phil, Pete and Andy... a sight to behold. This is what rock-n-roll on TV should be: live, raw, warts and all. No protooled sterility, click tracks or flown in vocals. Just the lads doing the bizzo! I'd love to hear Lazza wrap his mitts around "Prince Kajuku".
Larry is a badass guitar player everything he did on the fairies never never land was exceptionally bad ass and full of pshyc. pretty cool he played with the UFO
Was with the Fairies in the same house in Notting Hill for sometime. Groovy, fantastic concert with free punch, -Fairies and Quintessence in the Roundhouse. A fuck behind the stage. Not a penny on me. At dawn the fuzz; move AWAY from the pavement!! Ah, well...
The first track in this video sounds much like "Sixteen" included as 1973 recorded, UFO-credited bonustrack on the remastered edition of "Phenomenon" (2007). The second track is "Silverbird" from "Flying". Last track is "C'mon everybody", which was a big hit in Japan from UFO's first record. Great find, thanks for sharing.
Wallis only played for a few months, doing live gigs. Then Phil Mogg gave him his walking papers. Bernie Marsden (Uriah Heep, Alaska) took over, but again, just played for a couple months, just prior to Michael Schenker's arrival from Scorpions.
man, French TV was really hip. this amazing rarity, and the footage of Pink Fairies here ruclips.net/video/yskXftKkRbE/видео.html smoking a joint and jamming out on Uncle Harry while a roadie changes a drum head. its hard to get much better than this.
@SnuffleZeTruffle This was lifted from the French Rock TV show "Rock En Stock".Betting has been about on the collectors circuit I would imagine, really does not need to be said,as everyone knows the story there.Looks like this edition exists in the French TV archives. For which some great gems have been making thier way into the light this last year, and now.The Yardbirds had "Train Kept A Rolling",Jimi Hendrix "Burning Of The Midnight Lamp",The Move "I can Hear The Grass Grow",to name a few.......
Classic UFO could've been so different if this line-up had recorded a whole album for Chrysalis. Instead of Doctor Doctor and Out in the Street, we could be talking about Martian Medic and Out in the Stratosphere.
Didn't Mick play a Les Paul? I think it is Larry (Strat), Mick never pulled those awesome facial expressions to my knowledge. lol Oh and Mick had a beard!!!!
oddly enough, I just ran into Phil about a year ago in Manchester. He has not aged whatsoever, His hair is shorter, but still looks like he's about 30.
"Flying - c'est normal pour les sous-coups volants" oh very bloody funny Mr French TV presenter. (not even that witty since volant(s) means flying anyway.)
Larry Wallis cant play guitar so it was a good thing they got a proper guitar player like Michael Schenker. And when Michael Bolton heard Schenker for the first time he stopped playing guitar all together..ha.True story.
RIP Larry Wallis September 19, 2019
Phil Mogg had such a soulful voice,he really deserved a lot more fame and recognition, but still,as we all know,he had a better time than most of us ever will,so good for him.

Larry Wallis unsung guitar hero
R.I.P Larry Wallis
One of the greatest hard rock bands of all time. Shamefully underrated!
Hard rock is to music
what coal dust is to the atmosphere
Yes, Harlan, you've made that point previously. I understand your disdain for the magic that is metal and hard rock. Good to hear from you again! ROCK ON!!!!
We agree to disagree. That's a classic relationship.
R. Harlan Smith Indeed! If everybody had the same tastes, we'd be dwelling in a boring world!
+R. Harlan Smith
Keep breathing that coal dust.....

Rock & Metal history right there. Bless your soul Larry, this fit perfectly with the band at the time.
Larry Wallis.. why was never more famous?
Larry is a badass guitar player everything he did on the fairies never never land was exceptionally bad ass and full of pshyc. pretty cool he played with the UFO
Sorry stoned, Larry didn't play on never never land. That was Paul Rudolph. Larry is the creative genius behind Kings of Oblivion.
larry wallis played on kings of oblivion.Brilliant guitar orientated rock album.
Ah, well...
Foxglove963 free punch...sounds great!!!
Mandatory viewing in my Rock and Roll One-State!
UFO in their space rock days, great stuff! For the first minute and a half, I was wondering if they were going to break into "Astronomy Domine"!
Thanks for posting , Awesome
God!!!! larry was great!!!
Oh man, I think this may be my favorite line-up ever now! Flying gone Pink Faeries - whee!
What a finding!, Oh my god, from a fan, it is way great this composicion of galactoc music ! Long live UFO.
UFO,,,,.,le premier album que mon père à acheter, une perle. Cette album 💐💐💐💐🙋💐💐💐
dude two of my favorites
Amazing footage of Lazza with UFO. Thanks! Strangely, the French host of the show says that it was "Mike Bolton who kindly showed you his tongue".
U F O Winterland, San Francisco, Ca. 1977 w/Rush
It makes sense but I had no idea that Larry played with UFO. Thanks man, pure genius.
me neither and it is weird but 1970 it was all so new so not so odd.
pink fairies were a awesome band
This version of cmon everybody sounds so punk
STONEY,WOW FANTASTIC FOOTAGE OF LAZZA IN 1972
Simply amazing. Thanks for the upload.
Bow Down to your Knees.!!!!!!!!!
Thank you SO much for this FOOTAGE.!!!!
Wow!! This made my night! Can never have enough UFO!!
Sid Vicious and the lads took ´C´mon everybody` to a whole different level, even though this is already raw and punk af !
Loistava Bändi!
Oh, man, thanks for posting this! Excellent stuff.
that freaked out version of the eddie cochran's classic, is so fucking over the top !!!
Sounds like early Pink Floyd at the beginning.
Early UFO was "Space Rock"
SIlver Bird! AWESOME! I really feel like flying
great song
Fucking Brilliant!
Fantastic! Thank you very much for this!
Wallis only played for a few months, doing live gigs. Then Phil Mogg gave him his walking papers. Bernie Marsden (Uriah Heep, Alaska) took over, but again, just played for a couple months, just prior to Michael Schenker's arrival from Scorpions.
Thank god for Michael joining...this guy was way too fuckin sloppy
The best years...
Go Lazza!
Sittin´ and waitin´ for the GuitarSolo in the first Song..And whats Happening!!🤬🤬🤬🤬A Dude beggins to talk🤬🤬
man, French TV was really hip. this amazing rarity, and the footage of Pink Fairies here ruclips.net/video/yskXftKkRbE/видео.html smoking a joint and jamming out on Uncle Harry while a roadie changes a drum head. its hard to get much better than this.

Yeah Big Nice 1!!!
Wallis with UFO seems right and not right at the same time...the guy is like Zelig cause he was everywhere...Motorhead and Stiff records!
Classic UFO could've been so different if this line-up had recorded a whole album for Chrysalis. Instead of Doctor Doctor and Out in the Street, we could be talking about Martian Medic and Out in the Stratosphere.
Far-out.....never seen that guitar player with the band before.
Amazing stuff...where on earth was this found? Great to see some very early footage of the band in their developing years.
Thank you.
Killer
Does anyone know Mick Bolton's whereabouts?
Minute 3.12 😮 wrong sir .... the guitarist is not Mick Bolton (the original UFO axeman 😂 ) on this footage but the legendary Larry Wallis 😅
Didn't Mick play a Les Paul? I think it is Larry (Strat), Mick never pulled those awesome facial expressions to my knowledge. lol Oh and Mick had a beard!!!!
Nope, that is no doubt Larry Wallis.
Its larry Wallis from Motorhead and Pink faeries
Ok. I’m lighting-up. 1:25
Wallis was the exact type of guitar for MOTORHEAD ...
puntostilocoupe biggest mistake of his life packing in motorhead
uauh .........
CHILDHOOD LAVA*
Great but somebody should have played the originals to Larry first. He did likewise with the Pink Fairies. A great guitarist in his own right though
I hate how they always decide to talk through guitar solos
super bad B&W film....great sound!!
Was Mick already out of the band?
Can someone give me the tab for silver bird??
Yeah, it's smiley mushroom....
oddly enough, I just ran into Phil about a year ago in Manchester. He has not aged whatsoever, His hair is shorter, but still looks like he's about 30.
Den Dennis.
"So Alan is called Dem , and Colin's mum is dead. Could we turn the camera off , please ?"
I think UFO made a good choice replacing Wallis with Michael Schenker! A real good choice.
WHO CARES!! CMON EVERBODY!!!
"Flying - c'est normal pour les sous-coups volants" oh very bloody funny Mr French TV presenter.
(not even that witty since volant(s) means flying anyway.)
The guitarist looks like a cross between blackmore and gene simmons
I would have liked to see Larry Wallis replacing Mick Bolton (long-term) and not Michael Schenker ...
You are in the minority
Larry Wallis cant play guitar so it was a good thing they got a proper guitar player like Michael Schenker. And when Michael Bolton heard Schenker for the first time he stopped playing guitar all together..ha.True story.
I strongly agree with Harald. I'm also in the minority.
