Q:I don't see the option for energy efficient ethernet, I even tried using a different ethernet cable and it doesn't show up.
A:(new fix) redowload divers again and if that dosent work then bruh moment.
A:I did some research because lots of the comments have been referring to this. Off of no concrete evidence, few sources say it depends on the device. Say for instance some laptops that are manufactured by dell may be unable to configure this setting. But for me I built my own pc. So I don’t have any restrictions. I recommend you try restarting your modem as well as your device and try again. If it does not work I’m very sorry I couldn’t help. Also try a different ethernet cable, or another port on your router, sometimes that works.

If you don't have it it's becouse you haven't got the driver for you ether net (latest version you need to search for it online it won't pop up when in the system.)

Ivan Reyes. That would be because the driver is inactive of course it would say no Ethernet cable is plugged in because it’s looking for the cable at all times. If your wifi is working the there Is nothing to worry about

At first i didn't see power management nor any of the options in the advanced tab but I came back a while later after trying everything and they're there for some reason lmao. Whoever made power saving mode default should be trialed for war crime

Been having a similar problem where my 1gig/1gig internet drops to 0 for a few seconds then comes back at 50-90mb/50-90mb and stays like that until I unplug and plug it back in or restart my pc, thought it was a faulty cable since this one has done it for the past year since I got it when my previous one never did. Hoping this works two of the settings you mentioned were checked, I also unchecked another setting that sounded similar. Hopefully this works because it is annoying being disconnected when in the middle of something. Haven't replaced the wire because I had to run it down a floor, up 3 floors, under a floorboard in the attic then down one more floor to the room my pc is in, so it is a big hassle. If this works you helped save a lot of time.

thanks, good video. my ethernet connection has been playing up for months now, but if i switch to wifi it works ok, albiet at a slow speed. ill see how this goes. but since my problem started, my ethernet will connect to the internet, but it wont sign into anything or it will just be very slow and random. its driving me crazy. been on to the internet provider many times and they seem to think its my laptop ethernet port or something, so biting my lip and trying stuff for it.

To me it disconnects randomly and then reconnects right after, It happens rarely but when it does while I'm in competitive, it gets very annoying.

After many tutorial my internet speed everywhere except video games got so much worse.
What might have been the problem this whole time is that my cable is going to my room underneath the door, I've been opening and closing the door so often that it kinda erased half of the cable at that spot.
If the new cable doesn't help I'm actually f-ed.

@@HAL0-_- It was the cable, I just wrapped it around with some tape at the spot where it goes under the door and it works just fine.

my problem is apex knocks out my router, as in the router will disconnect from the fiber modem, whole house wont have internet for a few mins.

just figured out why mine was disconecting it was a bad cord and i just bump it by accident and it disconnects

I saw a tutorial to get less ping and that made me to had more ping and on speed test by ookla i got 10 ping down 650 and up 250 from 2 ping dowm 950 and up 850 and if i unistall and reinstall the device will be how was before????
I am a bit lost on your wording but if you just do the steps in the video backwards shouldn’t it undo everything? If it was something that they did with drivers then uninstalling and restarting your computer should do the trick sorry if I couldn’t answer your question. Also sorry for the late response

Try going into settings- power management- and then enable best performance or something like that. It should change the driver settings. If it dosent sorry I couldn’t help

I believe you can get a USB to Ethernet adapter, instead of buying a new motherboard

I have a Windows 10 computer that I started using about a year ago. After Windows update KB5039893, which I installed on July 12, 2024, I noticed that my ethernet would randomly disconnect. For the past month I have followed the instructions of countless tutorials about the Event ID 27 (Network link is disconnected.) but to no avail.
Around the same time, I noticed that when I would leave my computer without putting it to sleep, the monitor would alternate with the "power-saving mode" popup from the monitor, and flashes with a pure black screen. I noticed when I came back my monitor would also be brighter around the edges. Additionally, I was also having an issue where sometimes I put my computer to sleep. Uninstalling the Windows update I mentioned didn't help either.
Only a week ago, did I try to update my display driver. It updated from (I think) Intel HD Graphics 550 to Intel HD Graphics 630. Now my computer monitor has no issues, and the ethernet disconnecting has been resolved. I haven't resumed Windows update yet, but I will edit this comment if it happens again.

Oh sorry. This is for home use. Not dedicated servers. If possible try connecting to the server and then seeing the properties? Maybe it’s something on their end. I would say you reach out to someone and get their advice
@@HAL0-_- oh sorry I confused you. What I mean was I might not be able to connect to the SAP server and do my activities because my ethernet connection was going on and off. 🙂 Thankfully I didn't experience the issue, and my activities are done.

It doesn't work to me... The only way it would work is by changing speed and duplex to anything lower than 100mbps...
Usually that’s just capped by your Ethernet cable. I have the same issue and I have to keep mine at 100mbps full duplex or else it doesn’t connect
My issue:
4g & 5G Nokia antenna loses 5G signal, 4G remains, but PC is disconnected via Ethernet, I restart I get internet back, but eventually the antenna gets 5g back so my 4g drops out, so I have to restart the pc again.
I never had issues with copper network, but my previous provider shut off the copper network. it was fast and reliable. But as it was fazed out I had to go for 5G antenna.
I don't know if I need a router, or need to go to fiber optical cable connection instead.
I've tried updating the drivers it did not help.
I don't know if running lastest build of windows will fix it.

Sorry I’m really not sure about windows 11. Personally I don’t think I’m switching until they fix mainstream issues like quality of life issues. But I reccomend you try to go to device manager and try to find the Ethernet adapter rather than going through the setting menu
What happens if I un still driver
It restarts your driver to default values. Because sometimes with windows updates they mess things up. So it’s one of the things that will reset it and you will be able to get default values to continue the steps I talked about.
