    I tried this and it’s changed my relationship with singing in one day! I feel like supporting the voice has clicked for me. I Still have unnecessary tension in my throat muscles but it’s only day 1 so I have big hope and joy from this improvement! I’m so grateful!

    THank you so much for this video! It i really really helpful. Still, a have a few questions. Crunches were not really understandable for me, maybe you have a more detailed video with a warm up with crunches for instance? I mean, I am worried about a healthy way to do that.
    Also, it would be helpful to know more about how these excercises work with registers. I mean, do I have to do mixed voice while shifting between chest and head with an exercise? And which way should it be felt?
    Mainly, it is very helpful video, I think I'm going to include these in my daily routine. Thank you for this!

      @@iambelia hey! I would just skip the crunches if they don’t resonate with you.. you don’t have to do every single anchoring exercise, just pick 1 or the ones that make sense and work for you.
      As far as registers are concerned, it doesn’t matter if you’re mixing .. or doing chest or head.. these exercises are meant to eliminate strain, tension and or pain. :) so whatever area of your voice you are experiencing this (chest head mix or all) try anchoring. Does this make sense?

    Awesome video Liz - I've only recently discovered your videos and i've since watched all of them and find them so helpful! I love how you explain the right and the wrong way to do things, and make everything so simple to understand. I'd love to see another video on mixed voice - I never know if the resonance should be in the upper middle of my head and the tone is darker or if it should be at the upper front of the face and be really bright... or if there is no 'right' way as long as it feels good?! I ask this because when I lift the soft pallet, there can be a tendency for the sound to become dopey and darker, with the resonance being more toward the upper middle (back) of my head. Is the goal to maintain the feeling of lifting the soft pallet, creating space, but ensure the lips and lose are buzzing and have the sound there? Thanks so much! I can't even describe how much your videos have helped with my MTD as well!

      @LizBills  Год назад +2

      Hey my friend! Yes the voice is a spectrum so you can make darker tones and brighter tones. Perhaps in your case you can practice finding a balance. Maybe you lift the soft palate and still focus on achieving a bright forward sound. I will add this to my list to make another mixed voice video. :) yes yes lift soft palate, create space, lips loose and buzzing and placing sound there. Hope this helps!

    Are there any exercises that could be substituted that don't involve bending down? It brings a lot of blood flow to my heart.

    • @LizBills
      @LizBills  Год назад

      Yes I’d do the ones where you don’t bend down, the prayer hands are good, belly engagement, squeezing booty etc … there are many in this video that don’t require bending over or down.

    I'm starting these exercises for MTD. Is it ok to feel a kind of burning sensation in the throat? (Similar sensation when we've just screamed for 1 hour at the top of your lungs)

    • @LizBills
      @LizBills  Год назад +1

      Hey :) have you officially been diagnosed with MTD? If so try the anchoring exercises that work the best for you here and have the most minimal burning/efforting sensations in throat, or that’s the goal. Make sure you are breathing from your belly and not from your neck. I have a breathing playlist on here if you need. Try the anchoring along with vocal exercises that have the least amount of burning.

    Do you have a idea what it is when you can not control vibrato ?I can't seem to sing anything any more without vibrato being there very heavily? Please help 😢

    • @LizBills
      @LizBills  Год назад

      Hey that’s awesome you have so much vibrato! I would work with a vocal coach or if that isn’t possible I would search RUclips “how to sing without vibrato” I’m sure you can develop this skill with practice! I also used to sing with tons of vibrato and honestly I still do haha but I am having fun taking some vibrato out of my voice here and there. It’s helped me by working w a vocal coach.
