It took me 2 months to get my money from EDD after being out of work from an injury. The shortcomings of EDD Disability Insurance are well documented. Any inability of the state to fix the problems of EDD is intentional. The longer the EDD delays payments, the longer the state can keep the monies in various investment vehicles. The fact that the State of California has turned this into a money making venture renders the entire EDD DI system suspect.
Listen to this, I still am waiting for my Unemployment Stimulus. I thought that I did not qualify since I could not even to apply however I am just finding out that I did qualify and someone took $34,000.00 in benefits and the unemployment office will not do a thing for me. I am about to file a lawsuit against the state.
Better yet just get cashback on a Point of Sale (P.O.S.) transaction at a store like Walmart, etc.. then you don't even have to go near a bank. Plus Walmart has so much security, people & cameras that a scammer would never have time to put one of those fake keypads that steals your bank info.

They kept close to 6 thousand dollars they closed my edd BOA account I called 3 times then I went to the bank account twice they made me sit in a cubicle with a phone and they called customer service for me to the same people that I just spoke with back home not too long ago they were giving me the run around customer service were so rude so unprofessional I ask how much money I had in my bank account they told me 700 dollars how is that when the last time I checked I had close to 6 thousand they told me that I withdrew 5 thousand I said but how? U can't take out 5 thousand dollars at a atm u have to go inside to the bank teller to withdraw that amount of money. I never withdrew 5 thousand I never got that money back I paid taxes for my unemployment money but they kept it all edd and boa will never help u.
Had this happened to me. I had the old card with no chip on it, I had used the Bank of America ATM in Tustin. I guess they had a skimmer on the ATM. I checked my account days later and found that they had taken the money out, and at one point they even checked at another bank ATM to see if I had money in there again. Took some time to settle it but I got the money refunded luckily
They have scammers in the parking lots waiting for people. Go onside the bank to a teller and get your money and even then you employees of any work force can be in on the scam. It is everywhere.....

They gave her half back at the time she filed a complaint then she got summoned to a deposition call almost two years later in regards to overpayment for her benefits in which she ended up getting the remainder of the money that was taken. I googled some of the companies that were taking charges and a few were overseas and others were non existent. Crazy stuff...

Let me get this straight. A major for profit bank lobbies the state into allowing them to administer a government process and then administrates that process poorly, without regard for the people they are servicing? Oh my god! Who would have seen that coming? Now that the chickens are coming home to roost, BofA suddenly doesn't want to manage this anymore? Meanwhile, the older american public is scared to death of socialism, but places like Denmark, Finland and Sweden manage their social programs just fine and they are considered the happiest people on earth.
Those countries are able to fund those social programs through illegitimate offshore accounts millionaires and billionaires use to hide their wealth and the fees that are collected from them fund their programs. Your just never going to know that explicitly because they want it to stay that way hidden. Mean while the US does its best to tax those ultra wealthy but because they are able to move to those countries easily they are no longer subjected to US tax laws. This isn't all of US ultrawealthy but the few who make their money here then leave do so and it in turn hurts the US more than anything so that's why they can do it and we cant. Those countries are tiny compared to the US and there is no way they can afford the programs they have with the small industries they provide(yes they make great products but not on the scale the US does or china). Also many would say its the culture, well maybe to a certain extent but again they need money to fund those programs.

DO NOT USE YOUR CARD IN ANY ATMs because scammers are still in parking lots waiting for people. Go inside to a teller and get your money out that way.

Is the edd still giving extensions in 2023?
