You mentioned that it's not really a "manly" truck, but a real man is strategic, thinks on things, and chooses the right tool to achieve his objectives according to his means. That's "man" behavior and you've done that. A child overspends, is wasteful, and emphasizes image over substance.
Ya know, the funniest thing is people get caught up in numbers so much. The old V8s in the late 80s early 90s made less than 200hp, high 200s in Torque, with the trucks weighing way more, and nobody ever questioned them. Yes it's a small truck, and small displacement, but it can still get it done
You need to use a Weight distribution hitch to even things out and anti-sway bars. Towing will be much more enjoyable. Also a break controller is a must. Honestly though, I’m glad you guys are out enjoying life and trying new things!
If you buy the Maverick with the 4K towing package it comes with a built in brake controller. It specifies no more than 400lbs on the hitch. You have to have the Tow package to get the 4K rating. It has some other things like a larger oil cooler and such.

Great video. Beautiful place to camp and celebrate. I would suggest you want to crisscross the safety chains. That will lift them off the ground. Twisting them I don't think is a good idea. Great truck.

No kidding! I’m looking at replacing my 08’ Dodge Ram 1500 with one of these! Much cheaper to put gas in, and seems as though it will tow everything I tow with my Ram with minimal difficulty.
You must have quite a few miles by now as one of your recent posts showed quite a few miles. Yet towing 4000 ish pounds is pretty good for this little truck.
For minor towing duties like dirtbikes, jet ski's and garden equipment the Maverick does well but if your doing this more often and need a small truck then the Ford Ranger or similar is going to be your better bet. For my money I'm taking a F-150 or similar but get the simplicity and size of the Maverick but to me its just a car with a bed instead of a trunk. I see cars towing too. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. But I'm bias being a retired Class A CDL truck driver. Stay safe ✌🏽🇺🇲
Nice towing trailer but you don’t have the sway control bar for towing a camper you don’t have the leveling kit for the camper using the wrong hitch told his trailer in my state they will pull you over for that. doesn’t matter if the truck can tow you don’t have the right equipment for towing is a ticket and they will not let you gone.
I like the way you let us see that this little truck isn't just a daily driver but can handle some towing when you need it to.

Put the 2" lift from rough country on it you will be amazed how more it will handle and you won't have that sag

It’s ok but maverick is small and not meant for heavy towing.
The maverick only has a 400 lb max hitch weight. That trailer is probably 700 lbs.
Cross your trailer chains. And I also thought the engine sounds mechanically loud.

Why 91 octane, is that what ford says you need to run?
