A card I didn't mention is Displacer Kitten, which I'm currently not on because it feels a little win more and hard to setup at times, but certainly works well with what the deck does! Let me know what you think of Rog/Thras!
I currently have it to test. Could be win more. But it’s nice since we have so many ETB effects. Blinking an Imp Recruiter/Spellseeker/Trophy Mage/Eternal Witness feels nice to double dip
Here is a question, since relic of legends is such a top performer, would honor worn shaku be worth considering, or is colorless just so much worse that it isn’t worth the thought to have a worse 2nd copy of relic?
Have you ever considered Signal the Clans aka Gruul intuition? I run Goblin Matron, so I’ll Signal for dockside, imp recruiter and goblin matron. Can also be tutored for with spellseeker!
I think you are doing amazing work!! Since you always ask for any ideas or what we want to see… I would love a video that tells/shows how to defend against maybe like the top 16 decks? (Maybe not all in one video however u think it would be best). But i play kinnon so I know like counter the artifact tutors and kill kinnon and get rid of basalt monolith… obviously sometimes and some decks its not always cut and dry, but ideas for attacking decks. What’s the best way to defeat krirk and saka. As a noob this would be super helpful!
@123rulz I don't think it's a must run, but it can help us assemble our artifact combos with dockside, works pretty well with Relic and can loop with that plus cloudstone, it's just a pretty alright card in the list. I haven't found it's the most consistent performer but it has some real high highs.
I found Relic of Legends especially interesting and am looking forward to trying it in a couple lists. It's not RogThras, but I anticipate making good use of it in Belbe.
Been a pilot of Rog-Thras since its Polymorph days (and I do still prefer the polymorph) and I do have it right now almost similar to your build but just a tadbit cheaper (since our playgroup is strictly no proxies, not hating prox, just a deck building thing). I am yet to have the Cat, but surprisingly the deck really works.
Great video and great deck! I play a slightly different version myself. One question for you - have you considered Sylvan Scrying over Expedition Map? 1 less mana overall and can be found off Spellseeker.
@dangomba7880 thank ya! I've thought about it, I think I like the flexibility of map and the colorless only though Scrying has its own strengths. If you're on trinket and/or saga map is definitely the way to go but I'm not on those currently so maybe.
Love this! I've been brewing Rog/Thras since beginning cedh, and with mh3, I FINALLY have the remaining cards to complete my build! Your Cradle direction inspired me to retool. It's made me realize I need to build within the community. Does anyone know of a Rog/Thras discord?
Ooh I like the take of no shrieking drake. I've constantly viewed it as inseparable with earthcraft, but the combo is too hard to assemble even if on fertile ground/sprawl/wild growth or pivoting to relic + cloustone + rog. So thinking of it as a cost reducer like relic/birgi is huge and let's me be able to cut it! I'm still on the manual storm with kitten + song but have recently added seedborn + ring as a decent grindy option that can and will close the game if untouched. A card I'd strongly recommend to play is Legolas's quick reflexes. Being able to guarantee that you're untapping with consecrated sphinx/seedborn, or protecting any combo creature is huge. With earthcraft AND relic available it also provides enough tap outlets to tag the bowmaster/problem creature as needed. It pulls a little more weight for me since I need proactive protection I can cast into kitten/song turn, but the card is criminally under played
It's something I realized pretty early on when some of my games had Earthcraft be an insane draw even though I never saw Shrieking Drake. Busted mana production.
Fav deck is tivit and kinnan. Not great at fast grixis decks. Been wanting to play this one in a tourny. Any advice for a reactive control player playing rog thras?
I've considered how I'd build the deck if I wanted to go with that plan. I think the counterspell suite changes a little bit and you maybe run less combos, but I'm not 100% on how it looks. The deck really can do that but you need mana and some kind of draw engine other than thras unless you have seedborn in play to do it well I think.
I don't know if it is just me but I have a hard time finding deck techs, so I'll take any I can get. Current or outdated as long as there's a good base on how it works I'll figure out anything not there from the deck list I just need help knowing what the deck wants to do.
I wonder if anybody else would find interesting all the top decks shown for what turn they might win on , on average And maybe reasons why some are faster than others
Awesome vid! I’ve been following your deck since your last video! Just wanted to check, are there any replacement for sticker goblin? I was thinking of using jeska’s will instead since I could pair it with rograkh to utilise both parts of the card
I'm currently playing this list but with Hullbreaker Horror instead of sticker goblin. Not the swap you have to make but it's what I'm liking at the moment.
@@LemorasCards Thanks for it! Will be taking this to my lgs tourney :D again good content and you inspire me to play rogsios haha. Also, is there a reason why you are not using thassa's with Thrasios?
Double checking! The deck list on Mox Field is different than the one in the video ? Or is it up to date ? Notably no sticker goblin in the one on Mox Field.
@@LemorasCards I see you are off Consecrated sphinx do you think hull breaker horror and sphinx is too much in the same list ? And also what would you play over transmute artifact ? Haven’t fully committed into buying one yet. Currently playing windfall over it.
@nevsterk2463 I think in a big open event I might not want to play either, the meta is pretty fast with Rog/Si eating us up pretty good so I could see cutting HBH for the same reason I cut Con Sphinx. It's pretty hard to make a clean cut for transmute since it has a pretty defined role in the list, so you could probably put any flex card in that slot.
Does Dosan ever give games to other players tho? I know timing is everything but let’s say you’re stopped by a channel land or something and have to pass, isn’t that bad?
CEDH is such an inaccessible format. Familiars will predict each other and allow each other play, even working together to utterly dominate the newer players (who are less predictable) and they must assume every card they play is a potential wincon. I've heard it a million times with my cedh chatterfang deck. Can't play a thing. Every bloody card is a wincon. According to them I always have ad-nauseum. CEDH is like Bridge. There are a ton of unwritten rules and invisible lines you must never cross.
Sounds like there's a bad play group you've played with. Everyone I play with does assume you always have it though. Because the ONE TIME you think, oh that's fine, you lose hard
If they are always super scared of your stuff, you can politic by showing your hand to explain that you are not the threat. One person I play with often uses a cedh yisan deck and gitrog monster deck. Those decks are not meta and can be hard to predict as to when they are the threat so he explains what lines he would do so that we know not to completely obliterate his board every turn. Just a thought.
A card I didn't mention is Displacer Kitten, which I'm currently not on because it feels a little win more and hard to setup at times, but certainly works well with what the deck does!

This deck synergies very well and is still able to take advantage of the best meta cards. I'm surprised it hasn't put up better results.

I have a version of this deck myself and i dont run the sticker goblin. Not because it's bad, but because i just refuse to deal with sticker sheets.

Idk if flare of duplication is as great as it is in rog si but I imagine it’s close. Card feels so damn good. Thanks for the amazing content
Yeah they get more busted stuff to copy with it, we just have Rogr lying around more often to use it so there's pros and cons.
Keep in mind that Flare can double your own creature tutors so it can turn them into a win if you go get Dockside/Barrin or Dockside/Sabertooth
Thanks for the video. Why arent you running kitten flare of denial or hbh?
