45:47 That screwdriver in Tivit 🔥
Ive been jammin thassa leveler with the double polymorph effects its my favorite build!
as a lumra player myself, seeing lumra pop up on cedh makes me happy, i ran a similar combo on my deck where you got nantuko looping and the sunscorched desert just pings everyone for one
Please more explain combos with volley floodcoller because i can't understand what is good on this card
I love this video so much
@@IgnacSegeta-i6w happy to hear it!
Dargo thrasios please
I've been playing ygra eater of all for cedh and it seems really good but people don't seem to think it's good enough
Where can I find the vod of the Sam Black thing you mentioned?
@@Synced_OW m.twitch.tv/videos/2290172131
@LemorasCards Darn...looks like the video was taken down or something. Thanks for the reply!
44:15 gets steal enchantment, copy artifact, abeyance and damn which transmute artifact doesnt.
Zuran orb lumbra and foodchain makes it so you can sac ur lands aftrr tapping and get the mana from food chain to then replay her and then get ur lands back. Its risky tho
Finally a cool tournament to cover! Love it! There were so many interesting strategies in this one.
Archway of innovation is so weird for me in T&K, because a lot of the artifacts you would tap to reduce the casting cost tap for mana already. EDIT: And I guess Tivit makes artifacts, but at that point you're probably already doing very well.
Im not going to lie, I like the Japanese and European meta much more than usa meta
Surprised to not see the Magda deck playing Stoke the Flames
Dwarves tend to get pinged off before you can get enough for it to be "free"
I'm starting in on Tymna/Thras. I am wondering is Displacer Kitten just dead in Cedh? I was thinking of using it to juggle rocks as a form of making infinite mana, but I feel alone. I'm going to give it a try anyway, but I'd love to hear what I might be missing out. Guessing it's just kind of expensive?
@crossr1984 a lot of decks that considered it have cut it since Docksides banning. I run it in Rog/Thras where it's quite good, and you still see it in UW+ decks that run it with Teferi to combo, mainly in decks like tivit where it's good with the commander. If you wanted to do it in TnT, you may want to focus more on rocks over dorks, and some impactful etb effects like Cloud of Faeries or the tutor creatures that make it more worth the include. Not sure if that's gonna end up being optimal, but i think throwing kitten into a random tnt build right now it'll feel pretty bad.
Kerik, Son of Yogmoss 😂
The links for the decklists are broken 😭. Great video btw.
I think it's a mobile Google drive thing where it's not giving access. I'll just post them in the description.
I want to build that Lumra for the local SCG con but $7000 between 6 cards is so sketch to hand over to Cheeto finger for a shuffle
Hey Matt, throwing it out there that whether you pivot or keep up the cedh content I’m still down to watch. Do what you find enjoyment in.
I appreciate it!
Shred Memory is incredible against Tayam decks, and shuts down Bomber Man and Breach lines. Using it as a tutor is the fallback for me.
Just bought all the cards for Grarub, the Fortune Teller of Calamity.
I'm the Magda player in the video. I have an updated decklist on Moxfield under CReyGG. During the semi-finals I was impressed to see Korvold perform so well and take me out of the running post-ban. As a foreigner to Japan, the player-community was really welcoming and even though it was a tournament, my opponents were mostly polite and patient despite me not knowing any Japanese and didn't run into any toxic players. I really recommend playing at the God Of Commander tournaments!!
That's awesome to hear you've had a really good experience there! They seem like awesome events, congrats on the good performance!
I started playing cEDH right after the bans, and it wasn't until I started somewhat brewing my own decks that I realized how crazy dockside would be. I was having a blast playing cEDH for the first couple months, but after almost every game being a remora/rhystic turbo, I've gotten pretty burned out. It's all people tutor for.
pollywog has just underperformed, ive seen it work 1 time for a malcom player, just not that impressed...
I've recently cut pollywog from my malcolm tymna list. Post bans theres a lot less that triggers it early
Springheart on lumra is kinda banger
Bloodpod still alive 😊
The room is a bit better with black market connection, as tokens have all creature types, meaning they are demons too. We get a demon in the first main phase, and at the end of the turn we reduce losses from BMC with the help of the room. Cute synergy:)
If 3 cards ban can bring down the competitive side of edh then how stable was it to begin with honestly. The only one that i was surprised by was mana crypt since it been allowed since the format was made.
🐸
These Bans suck let’s be real.
"Parn, Niv-Midget"
In all lists not even 1 Drannith Magistrate or Dauthi Voidwalker is this a new meta thing or just a japonese thing?
j thing, has never been super popular over there.
I rarely see either of those in USA to be honest either.
Think it’s the new meta. No one is really turboing out their commanders’ so you have more time to set up your own game plan. No need for drannith right now.
Good breakdown as always dude. Can only be better when my boy Gaddock Teeg finally makes a cut! ❤❤❤
MRumble and Glimpse are just bonkers. I'm a Rumble gamer too
TnT came back I knew it had it in them
Not enough gamer talk on this one
I can't please everyone! More gamer talk next time for sure.
Mirrorpool third ability is a loop with Lumra aswell
"Magda, the Thick-Faced Outlaw"
Lumra is just pure spice!!!! Ashaya, Lumra and Vesuva is gg
It was a great event!! I had so much fun! I played Yuriko but went 2-0-4
I'm jealous! Hope I get to make it out to one.
@@LemorasCards it really is something to experience:)
Japan always bringing the SPICE!
I was the guy who got second at SCG con Columbus with Lumra. If you want to learn more about the deck I would be more than happy to chat about it.
I would ✋️
Do a Lumra deep dive❤

Would love to see a deck tech and discussion on combos and such

Any Tayam going on over there
It doesn't seem to have really caught on from what I can tell. Hasn't topped any of the events I've covered but I'm not sure how many show up usually.

I talking anywhere to be seen is crazy
This year made me quit paper Magic. It's been rough with reprints and deceitful WotC practices, but the format manipulation across the board this year was costly and not to my liking. Have been playing since a kid circa Stronghold. So disappointed in everything associated with Magic that the hobby wont even be missed. Leaving is freeing.
Fantastic podcast - thanks for this. The bans resulted in a lot of emotion - some perfectly understandable, some completely unacceptable. However, what they really called for is exactly this kind of analysis of the actual data and experiences in game. Good work!
Thank you! Happy you enjoyed it!
