Why Samsung dominates the android market ? Simple, availability. Samsung basically has options for everyone in almost every region in the world while Google does not. The second thing is that samsung ecosystem has gotten better over the years while Google is still doing baby steps with the tablet & smartphone productivity market even though Google had been making tablets through other brands (as well as their own) as early as 2012 with the Nexus project but the tablet never evolved from entertainment only tablet into productivity tablet like Samsung's, evident from the recent pixel tablet which was designed mostly to be docked as a controller for the Alexa home system and pretty much unknown to the rest of the world outside Europe & US. Unless Google starts to up their game in availability & ecosystem, Google will never dominate the android market.

I agree with the reasons behind samsungs market share. However saying google wont gain comparable market share to samsung is incorrect. Things can change in the mobile market. Google has better software and smarter software. With an age of AI and software intuitiveness, google has an edge that samsung does not have. Google also has the worlds best software engineers and devs so u never really know imho

@@johnle1723 Only Google fanboys think Google has the best software. They don't even have the best engineers and their whole software is full of bugs. I had a bug which didn't let me sort my shares albums in Photos and Google didn't fix it for months. Now Google maps in walking navigation refuses to turn the map in the direction I am heading. All of their software has different design language and is constantly unsupported. Even the pixels are full of bugs. Samsung make better software than Google and are the face of android for a reason. Google in 9 years accomplished nothing in their phones. They are still mediocre.

@@johnle1723 Please re-read the comment again. I was saying Google won't beat Samsung in this game if their availability & ecosystem still inferior to Samsung. It strikes me that the Tensor G4 on the Pixel 9 Pro XL is being clever and throttling early during lighter tasks to boost thermal performance and battery life. For more Cpu and Gpu intensive tasks like gaming, the S24U shows it's extra muscle but the Pixel performs not as badly as I thought it might. Cutting through everything else, I just want to say that if you own either of these two devices you should feel happy with yourself. You have made a brilliant choice.

Shutter lag and other camera problems (that have been present on every Samsung phones for years now) make it pretty much unusable when it comes to camera department. Yeah, all that hardware power is nice, lenses, megapixels, zoom, but blurry unusable pictures of anything with even slight movement (kids, pets, people...) should not be acceptable in 2024., let alone in this price range. All of the competition solved it (so it can't be that hard, right?) and Samsung not doing anything about it is pure desrespect to customers. Another example could be weak and soft vibration since S22 series. Users complained and what did they do about it, change vibration motor on S23 ? No, they added software feature to play vibration sound through speaker (completely unusable when device is in your pocket).
If it wasn't for old glory, it would be pretty hard to sell half baked "we'll fix it with updates" devices like this. And Pixel is easy choice. At least that's how I see it (I've been using Samsung flagships for 7 years straight).

As shutter lag continues to plague Samsung flagships (I've used them for 7 years straight and each and every one had it, with many other camera issues, of course), it's not even in the same league with Pixel. Take a shot of moving subject with Samsung - you'll end up with blurry unusable mess, not even decent picture. Do that same with Pixel - 9 out of 10 times picture will be great. Great design, superb cameras, clean bloatware free Android experience, frequent updates - not many people care about benchmarks and processor details.

For me, the S24 Ultra is better as a photophone and simply as a smartphone.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL is not bad, it's even very good, but, as I always say and contrary to what people say and think, Pixels do not necessarily have a natural colorimetry, they just have a constant colorimetry and white balance, very often pleasant , but not necessarily natural.
On the other hand, this Pixel 9 Pro XL is clearly not a smartphone for me, or even a smartphone that I would recommend, I can't force myself to accept to pay at an ultra-high-end price, a smartphone with a mid-range processor, because it has a " G " logo on the back and because it is supposedly "super optimized", I will never accept that from Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi or Apple 🍏, so I will not accept it from Google 🙅🏽‍♂️
Ps: the only thing that for me, all manufacturers should have in photo-video, the "Dual Exposure" of the old Pixels, and the "Photographic Style" of the iPhones, these 2 features are so underrated, and yet, they are game changers.
    🙏🏽

good thing people have their own opinions - regardless if what most of what you said is true... you will never force anyone to jump ship. Some will always praise and be Samsung fans others will do the same for Pixel phones, at the end of the day the consumer will spend their money on what they like. 🤙

so you cant recommend the pixel because it has a lesser number on the benchmark? who cares about the performance with such strong processors anyways? you wouldnt notice a difference if i put a sd8g2 in the s24 ultra. if you work with your phone and have to actually do heavy work load, okay. but for 99% of humans that just use their phones to swipe through instagram and tiktok, it literally does not matter. and even if we talk about performance, you can watch the heavy workload comparison between 9 pro, 15 pro max and s24 ultra, where the s24 ultra crashed because it overheated after 15 minutes. so what is it even worth then? on another speed test, same smartphones, which was about opening and loading apps, and then reopening all of them again + a 3 minute video rendering, the pixel had the fastest lap out of the three phones. and the price aint even an argument either, the pixel got more expensive, yes, but it still costs less then the others at UVP. the 15 pro max started at 1450€.

@@schwazernebe No, I can't recommend it because it's too expensive for what it is, and because its processor for what it claims to be is actually already outdated when it comes out.

@@schwazernebe And also, people who only scroll on TikTok don't really need a $1200 smartphone, a $300-$500 smartphone is more than enough for them.

I am tired of posting these in this videos. The fingerprints are exactly the same. It's a software issue. You can in fact, use your fingerprint scanner when your screen is off on the pixel 9 Pro XL on the beta for Android 15
