I still have to decide if I like the red seconds hand or if I prefer the classic b/w 556 I...on one side a bit of colour is good, on the other side though the simplicity of this model also rests in its absence of colour.
Agree about the simplicity.. I chose the classic b/w 556i cause the red second hands look a bit tacky to me.. the snk809 does it better with the subtle red tip
A year later now - I still want one, but the value proposition at $1,000 (new) is long gone. $1,500 on the H-strap is a much tougher sell now in my opinion. But man do I still want one...
@Lee I had the 41 and my wife has the bb36. It is a nice watch, but it is not better than the Sinn. (I agree, the Tudor clasp is much better, but I love the H-link bracelet on my Sinns). Best regards Oni
I'm so conflicted. I like this a lot. It could truly be the one watch for every day. The value proposition could be there if you get this and don't get any more watches afterwards!
A Swiss movement powering a watch designed by German engineers - everything you need, nothing you don't. All for 1500 USD. And you *DON'T* consider this a value proposition!? 🤔🤨 Bro, ppl are were paying 500-1000 USD for those plastic moonswatch ceral box toys. Sinn is *THE* value proposition for serious watch ppl. I have a glorious grey 104 I St Sa A on H-link and this 556i RS is next for me. That could be a complete collection at two. Between those and a G-shock 5000 series (square) of your choice (5000U or 5610U + titanium mod would be great options) all bases are covered and they'll probably all outlive me. I'd put a SARB013 on that list, too. And that's all folks. A truly unique, functional and WEARABLE collection for less than one used Speedmaster (which are becoming played out IMO, every "influencer" has to flash a Speedy now 🙄) Great vid, TY for uploading 👍
Your logo... All this time i was thinking the dial of the watch and the structure below it made up an old school microphone, but just had an aneurism realizing it’s probably a snifter or glass of some sort. Can you confirm?
Check out Sinn web site, there are 4 variants: 556I (indices), 556I RS (indices, Red Second), 556A (arabic), 556A RS (arabic, Red Second). Plus some fancy color dial models :)
Hey Everett! Awesome video and right on! I totally agree that in terms of "value proposition", this guy doesn't compare to microbrand GADA watches. Wouldn't have been able to afford this guy unless I had gotten that amazing deal + ebay coupon. Keep up the awesome content and looking forward to your next episode Thursday! - Kevin
Kevin Lin hey brother! Thanks for letting us get out hands on it. Sometimes it's not about the objective details, but about something else. This has the something else, for sure
Love the introduction, there are so many independent/micro brands that bring so much quality and value to the table . Can you buy direct or do you have to go through an AD ?

Feel your pain. Ended up pulling the trigger on the BW hand, but sometimes still visit the alternatives 556I rs and 556a lol
@@LittleBigPoet I have the same struggle.
You can switch to a nato strap if you want some color is what i think
I like the red seconds personally it gives the watch a little “evil” vibe 😂

The red saves the watch from being too plain.
Love the utilitarian quality of this piece
One of my ultimate top 5, mainly the simplicity and fit and finish. Just a perfect watch, like the Rolex Datejust or Explorer I.

I have been looking at this watch for some time. This is the best video in terms of getting a feel of how it really looks.
The ‘I’ stands for indices 👍 nice review
The Glycine or even Oris is no competition! The Sinn has the same top grade movement like some Tudors and it is better made than the bb36/41.

A nice nice nice watch!!!!

jerky bois drove up the price .. 1650
I as in indexes?
No….indicies
@@jackarnold3290 kinda late on your response but thanks 🤣
Great review!
Steve Dan thanks, sir!!
Not a special edition anymore... :-) Happy to be able to get this now without the hunt
I like the red second hand. I dont know why. Looks cool i guess.

Cool watch, but you're right. So many great pieces for half the price.
martyinoregon but... You know... I WANT THIS ONE. 🤣
Affordable to
Great review Everett, I want a U1 but this 556i makes a GREAT choice if you get it in the used market.
Dean Speerbrecher oooh! Yes. Pick me up a T1 while you're at it.

Nono. You are in the small minority that got it right the first time. Watch in a microphone stand.
Great, clean logo!
@@k2horology Thanks, man. Designed and laid out by yours truly.
I’m able to be patient, how would I go about getting one of these for sub $1,000?
I got a used one off ebay that was in excellent condition with a Sinn leather strap for $850.00.
I think the sarb etc don't have the movement quality
curious, how come this watch has the red second hand, and other videos i've seen have a white second hand? Is it the same model#? thank you!!

I = indices. Markers
Your wrist size ?

Checked with a eta version. The screws are not there. Also the serial number is to high for an eta version and the RS version is to young.
I love Sinn.a.rs, beautiful one
Baton, and Batten are two different words... 🙋🤓😉👉
Great review! I still think the Glycine is the best :)
Evan Kaspar agreed. Great possibilities there!
"You can buy a Halios"
Can you?
Ha. Perhaps, not.
Love the introduction, there are so many independent/micro brands that bring so much quality and value to the table . Can you buy direct or do you have to go through an AD ?
You can buy directly from the manufacturer. I personally wouldn't consider Sinn a micro brand.
Sinn a micro brand?
Wish it was bigger.
You sound like my wife.
@Lee not identical…. Metal different?
Sinn makes similar watch that is bigger.
Terrible review ...very conflicting comments.
