I have the 556A on the H Link bracelet, and it is my current daily watch. It is extremely comfortable, easy to read and doesn’t clutter the dial with text. I quite like the small 4:30 date, it's there if you need it but don’t disrupt the overall look
I own a black 556i and a 556i in blue. They feel like a different watch. I used to wear the 556 on their H-Link bracelet but lately I prefer them on a leather strap. Black on the 556i and brown on the 556ib. Those are my office watches. Love them both!
I have both these watches. My only watches of any real quality. To my surprise, the fine link in the blue I found too much-just too lovely and sparkly. I much prefer it on the i. I really love the ib on the h-link. Also, another great review.
This has to be one of the best everyday watches currently available at the price point. I own the 556ib because I love the blue sunray dial and the hands and indices are more refined than the other offerings in this model range. Less tool looking more wearable everywhere And I love it I will send to you for polishing though Barry as promised some time ago just not got round to it yet
Cool video! Love to see the different variations. The 556i was my first "serious" watch and really brought me into the watch hobby. Still wear and enjoy it regularly to this day. This watch is really built like a tank. Greetings from Germany!
Your reviews have been really helpful with making my mind up on my first mechanical watch. I had been eyeing up a fortis f-39 for a long time now. Bit over my budget though. Seen a used f-39 online for a decent price on a strap and was tempted but id have to have the bracelet. Looked up the price of a f-39 bracelet, 500 euro, yikes. I keep coming back to the 556A. They really seem hard to beat for the money. Also, the fortis has the same SW200 movement as the 556A and having watched a lot of reviews on both watches, seems to me Sinn regulate their movements better. Anyway, I've made my mind up now, 556A it is.
Hi Martin the Fortis is a good watch for sure but 556A may cost a thousand pounds less but it definitely isn't a lesser watch. I love my 556A it came on a H-link but just over a year or so ago I also picked up a Fine link bracelet which transformed it and all for a very affordable price. I'm a 100% sure you won't be disappointed
Thanks for this helpful guide. Love seeing them together. I hope SInn releases a high-gloss black dial for the 556 A RS. That would seal the deal for me.
I have never deliberated so much over any watch model in my life than the Sinn 556! Only yesterday here in Australia I was almost ready to put the RS in my basket then almost put the blue in my basket! It’s ok, I’ve only been like this for some 2 plus years Barry!😵💫🤪🤣 Oh & this hasn’t helped!😆
Just bought the 556i with red second hand Got to say this watch is hypnotic. It's design confers with Dieter Rams 10 rules of good design 2 of which, beauty and utility are in abundance You could describe this watch as minimalist perfection and you wouldn't be wrong .Looks good on the bracelet but I changed it out for a black with red stitching sailcloth strap .
I think its just a great pilots watch, minimalist id say has to go to Junghans were as the Sinn is a more tool watch design, I once did a video comparing it to my Rolex OP39 with its beautiful flowing lines and the Sinn with it more brutal form following function case and bracelet which I also love
Wow a 556 family reunion, cracking👍. My fav is 556A RS with blue #2. While H link looks most genetically correct (matching sheen on case/bracelet) I think a stingray strap would make it look dressiest.
This watch is like a comfort blanket , solid as a rock , strap monster and great proportions with a top grade Sellita movement. Great insight into the 556 from the channel who knows Sinn inside out! Would be interested in your thoughts on the new 903 that looks amazing.

I have a 556 A and I love it. Mine is on the green/gray nylon strap, which is very well-made and robust. As long as Sinn does not continue to raise its prices, it's a great watch for the price.
One of my friends has the 556I and loves it he was thinking of buying a vintage Rolex the other day but said he just can't imagine why would I need another watch when his Sinn is just so perfect
@@ClickSpringReview I understand that feeling. I have been on a waitlist for a Rolex for over a year, but I wear the Sinn so often and like the quality so much that I'm actually thinking of getting another Sinn instead 🤔

Hi Sir I'll see what I can do, the two watches are very different the U50 is more like a military watch were the SD4K is pure luxury in comparison but still does the business
Spot on comment on those clasps fitted to Sinn's rubber bands: they are well built, but just too big for watches like the 556 or even the U50. They look out of proportion with the case, both in length and thickness.
I've owned a 556i Mocca for several years now and love its precision and starburst brown dial. The Mocca dial wasn't a limited edition, but has been out of production for a few years, so somewhat rare. I recently bought a new 556i RS expecting the same level of accuracy, but was dissapointed to see it running +10 s/day. I guess Sinn isn't regulating all the movements any more.

Hi Barry, they're all good watches, but perhaps the A or AR might find a home chez moi. There's really no such thing as an Entry Level Sinn, just like with most (all?) German watches: they're all excellent quality... Have a good weekend Barry, LG Bob 🍻

The most desirable is the 556 Indice Red Seconds, being the most balanced in sterileness, aesthetic balance and versatility, its both dressy bauhaus-feel and tactical tool at the same time. The arabic dials were a bit weird as the numbers are too big, almost feel like its numbers for nursery children, just personal opinion, many people like it. The fancy dials ie MOP... up to personal taste coz it doesnt feel very sinn.

i think the Longines Flagship is a lot nicer watch for the money.... so is a Monta Noble... both are much thinner, much nicer clasps and bracelets... much lighter... and same price....
