One youtuber said if you fall out of love or get bored with a watch, just put it away in the loft because if you sell it then you might have that sellers regret lol. I ordered a new (old stock) Heritage 65 model, then days later came across the (very) new Diver Date. I instantly questioned my purchase, as the new Diver Date is absolutely exquisite - I hope they sell a bundle of them.
    Upon returning home, I picked up my new watch - it is beautiful and fits my wrist wonderfully.
    Of course my Heritage 65 cost much less (about $1400) than the new Diver Date, which makes me feel as though I got a good deal, however the new model is absolutely gorgeous - give it a try.

    I love the dial configuration and the full black bezel of the first iteration but much prefer the sizing of the latest one. The case of the first one also looks a bit cooler regarding the proportions of the case vs bezel and crystal. I had intended to buy the “original” one and had the opportunity to do so a few months ago, but looked a bit too big on my 7 inch wrist, especially with that dial which actually makes the watch wear bigger. Hope they reissue that dial on the new 39mm case eventually.

    So funny that you posted this comparison Barry as I just picked up a used but mint full set Heritage Diver 65 - same as yours but on the tropic strap and I was searching for a good example for ages. As you say, much harder to come by now. I definitely prefer the OG, but as a 2 watch collection, I can see the new model being popular, especially with the display case-back and bracelet updates. I still prefer the dial (especially that cool 60's font on the indices) and bulbus crystal on the Heritage model though. Nothing can beat that look. Great review as always.

    This may be the first overview of the new Diver 65 that at least partly answers my most crucial question about it: is the lume on it as terrible as on the older model? The answer seems to be no. On the photos it looked the same on the hands and on the indices. Well done Oris for finally figuring it out :)
    Generally I'm warming to the new iteration, especially the blue dial shown here. They hit the nail on the head with the slightly smaller size, the reduction of lug-to-lug distance is most welcome. That said, I don't think I'll trade my bronze bezel one for this, unless they also put the bronze bezel on the new one :) That pop of color is just so cool, I'm willing to overlook the clearly inferior technical spec of my model compared to this.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  19 часов назад

      I don't mind the lume myself as long as I can see the time all the way though the night if I wake up I'm happy Sir, The lug to lug distance is only half a millimetre different to the OG, I'm not keen on a 19mm bracelet as most of my straps are either 20/22 or 24 but saying that my one stays on it bracket 99% of the time :)

    This watch is fabulous. I love the blue and I love the creamy white. The issue here is how they get the movement to perform, you are talking about £2000 and Oris need to get on board with the idea that at this price you need to have the word chronometer - this is really not a big ask. I’ve no doubt that they will be getting a lot out of that movement. my impression is this piece is right on the boundary of Swiss made, but that’s okay and nothing wrong with Sellita.

      @ I like them although I don’t own one. I understand they are a really good company who actually care about their customers. Oris were always one to push against the norm and make some interesting watches for hardcore watch nerds but let’s face it- we love them but never bought them in big numbers so their latest offerings are sterile, safe and boring to appeal to the most people which means they’ll sell in bucketloads- as long as they keep doing the interesting stuff WE all love it’ll be fine 😅
