Wow, this takes me back! I heard this on a local college radio station back in the late 90s (they'd play anything) and I remember just laughing like mad at the off-beat version. I'm really glad to find this again!
0:32 this chord progression proves anyone who says Fred can’t sing wrong haha. There’s better singing out there by them but I just can’t stop replaying this. Clay locks that E (penultimate chord before post)
I love these guys so much! Their tone is superb, and they're hysterically funny! I literally fell out of chair laughing!! Fred is my all time favourite barbershop quartet. XD
OUTSTANDING RENDITION EVER! BRAVO AND MERCI BEAUCOUP FOR THIS TABLEAU VERY SOUNDY! BRAVO FROM FRANCE EVER! MERCI BEAUCOUP FOR THIS INCREDIBLE FUNNY FUNKY RENDERING EVER! Emmanuel from PARIS FRANCE
I have loved this version since I first heard it on a CD my mother gave me. I heard it on a Pandora barbershop station today and thought I'd check to see if a clip was on RUclips so I'd get what were obviously visual jokes. Great job, FRED - thanks!
+Chris Linton They are simply nuts. Extremely inventive. And if that stupid tenor wasn't always flat, which annoys the judges to heck and back, they'da won way sooner. But he takes pratfalls like W. C. Fields. I guess everyone has a goal in life.....
These guys are really cool. Some years ago we perform a Gershwin-medley with a minichoir. "I Got Rhythm" was my favorite part of it. Greetings Alexander
The guy second from stage left is the "Lead" or Tenor 2. Tenor 1 is on the outside stage left. The Accusitx had their lead second in on stage Right. But both quartets have the baritone and Tenor 1 on the outside and the lead (tenor 2) and the Bass on the inside.
Actually, the judges are right up at the stage, so we have the best vantage point to see/hear the quartet, and secondly, the audience doesn't take the judges into consideration whatsoever, and we don't want them to. The quartets/choruses are there to perform for the audience first and foremost, with the judges being a secondary part of the audience. They want a high score yes, but the audience is number one. ALWAYS.

Just came here from the Great British Barbershop Boys video which references this set. Truly legendary. Who could ask for anything!

I watch this every night, always makes me laugh!!! I think think the comedy is very Monty python.
+Chris Linton You really need to get a life.

Love these guys!
@fivestander the right shoe has an "R" on it and the left has an "L". but the tenors has 2 "L's" on his, which explains why he fell over.
I really wish I someone had their version of I don't know why I love you like I do
This is super incredible... its there any sheet music that I could possibly get my hands on...
Why don't people listen to this kind of music now a days. It's so much better than anything on the radio.
best part of that joke is that the tenor labeled his feet wrong :D
I love when they sing it with the words one note off :D
