I always love this joke about how he went to the bookstore and tell the clerk "hello , i am looking for a book titled how to deal with rejection without killing........... do you have it?" lmao
Bob Monkhouse would have liked this guy.
Good to see a classic style again.
This is what Live At The Apollo is missing real comedy ! 👍🇬🇧
Yeah it's rubbish now.
@@seasonedbeefs yes it is but my mistake this was Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow !👍
Yeah it’s utter shite now. Get woke, go broke
Absolutely true. No long winded stories that aren't funny.
I saw Jimmy Carr when someone texted the show and said don't give up the suit because it's the only new material you've got.
Very different very funny
Great stuff.
really funny!
the guy is funny as, love one liners and they were good... and quick fire,
but the best part is he has a great voice, very clear and projects well,
he would have been a great radio announcer or tv news anchor.
My girlfriend thinks im a stalker.....well shes not my girlfriend yet😅😅😅
This guy has more funny jokes in 6 min than most new comedians have in a whole hour. He's funny!
Amazing - I don't find him funny in the slightest. After 3 minutes I can't stand any more!
There are some good jokes in there after 3 minutes. @@twangbarfly
Stand up for people who can't stand stand ups!@@twangbarfly
And his jokes are clean. To be funny you don't need to mention cunts or wanking or fuckwads or anything.
@twangbarfly he's OK....what comedian do you find funny
Canada's second biggest comedian...behind Trudeau 😂
Haaaaa 😂
Never liked his jokes? Although it was funny at a party once when he tried to in person in India. 😂
I think you are confusing comedian with clown
💤
Gotta also like Phil Hanley, excellent at crowd work
I'd love to remember his lines but my memory is terrible. Very clever comedian. Always funny.
I'm the same .
.the only one I manage to remember is "I was going to join a debating team, but was talked out of it"
@@chriskennedy2298 I only remembered the j-lo jello joke 😂
ruclips.net/video/z0XHzEBasto/видео.html hes been doing the exact same jokes for years
We know what you asked for from the fairy godmother.
....so you weren't good at History then.
Brilliant, clever, joyous !
I used to be against organ transplants but I had a change of heart.
What brought on the change of heart? I hope you get any medical treatment you need and that you are healthy
Fabulous comic. How he remembers so much stuff. Brilliant.
Remembers his jokes, not history
It's 5 minutes.... people do theatre for like 3 hours reciting dialogue
Heard that umpteen times still gets me 😂 his timing is brilliant. Some 1 liner comedians don’t give you enough time to enjoy a joke before hitting out with another, but this guys mastered it for me 👏🏻
Timing is everything in comedy & hes spot on
Anthony Jesselnik has ace timing but in a different way
Yeah his timing and delivery is flawless
Stewart Francis is hilarious
Stewart Francis is a master of the one liner. Few are better.
Yes, I also like Nobody.
Tim Vine
Ye Tim Vine is great too, and Milton Jones, and Gary Delaney.
Lot's of one liner comedians are better, which is why people have actually heard of them. Like Steven Wright, Jim Gaffigan, Rodney Dangerfield, Mitch Hedberg and Norm Macdonald.
@@toshikotanaka3249 I've heard of 2 of them.
And Stewart
Go be a twat somewhere else
His speaking fluency and skill is as good as you'll find. Maybe that's kind of tied up with charisma but he has great control of his presentation.
Who are you
@@ferise1 me? what?
I read this like it was a one-liner joke...
...but I didn't get it.
This guy is a riot😂😂😂❤
A pity he has retired back to Canada, a double bill with him and Tim Vine would split your sides.😂
Can you imagine a triple bill, of Francis, Tim Vine, and Milton Jones?
Laughter overload! 😂
Add Gary Delaney and Mark Simmons to that list.
@carlisroy6666 I always think it's funny when Gary talks about his girlfriend (now wife), and you know it's filthy Millican.
Tim vine tim Vine
Finally a online comedian who really is a comedian. Well done.
so true
what do you mean 'online comedian'?! He's been around for over 15 years as an established stand up
Never heard of him, but now I can’t wait to hear more from Stewart Francis! Hysterical!
The first 3 shows? He has online are brilliant
He's been around for ages and brilliantly clever I like "Having a blow job in a lift from an old lady is wrong on so many levels" !🤣🤣👍🇬🇧
Unfortunately he's retired from comedy, so you probably won't
Tour de francis
Outstanding in his field
Pun gent
I first saw him 25 years ago, and the quality of his one liners is always a joy. Pound for pound, Tim Vine is better value.... but the problem is remembering them all.
"He lives just a stones throw away." That one got me.
The joke. Not the stone. Thankfully.
🦆!
Wouldn’t be invited on the Comedy Roadshow nowadays
Someone would find something to be offended about
Ah, Stewart -- a solid, always entertaining stand-up pro -- and a fine ball hockey player, too, with whom I had the pleasure of playing during a Montreal Just For Laughs Reebok Cup finale.
He's come a long way since crackerjack
There’s a reference!
😂
He's right up there with Rodney Dangerfield, Steven Wright and Mitch Hedberg!
He's much better than any of those three. I checked them out here on You Tube and can report that the timing and delivery of Stewart Francis is far better than all those 3 American dudes.
Funny you mentioned Mitch i thought the same thing, but its the non sequitur material i realised. Mitch and Rodney are my top two, Mitch was taken far too soon, i can only imagine how his material would have matured by now, man he had me in pains of laughter.
I met Mitch Hedberg once. He asked "Are you a fan?" I replied "No, I am a human."
_I never could work out why a frisbee appears larger the closer it gets........and then it hit me_ .
One of the first i heard with him😂😂😂 still one of the best.
Next to... swimming in to shore...😅
Brilliant man. Live long dude...
ppppppppp
Just a stone's throw away🤣🇦🇺
Absolutely brilliant smart comedy
Never heard of this guy before now. He made me laugh, so 👍
This is absolutely brilliant a modern take on clever wise cracking joke telling
His jokes are absolute corkers. I love the guy....
Smart enough for intellectuals, simple enough for everyone. Great voice and delivery. Only trouble is much of whats available is the same or similar material. This one is mostly new stuff, and its good.
Yep. RUclips is both a blessing and a curse. Going to a live gig is always a unique experience, even on consecutive nights at the same venue, but binge-watching 8 or 9 years of a comic's gigs, one after the other, gives a very distorted view of a man and his material.
You'll often see Comments condemning a comic for presenting the same joke to different audiences in different countries, several years apart. Same set-up, same delivery, same punchline, same follow-on, same laughter... Because funny is funny.
But for today's trolls, seeing it twice on 6 different DVD recordings within half an hour is somehow... wrong. Sigh.
It's largely irrelevant criticism because the theatres or studios are full and the audiences are clearly having a good time, but it's so easy to search for individual references to existing routines these days that a critic will always be able to find something to moan about.
If they had to scan and Stop and Play and Pause and Rewind and Stop and Fast-Forward and Stop and Play through a pile of creaky VHS tapes to check a comic's material, we'd hear a lot less of the "He did that on Mock The Week 11 years ago!" and "Jimmy Carr's stand-up is always the same!" nonsense.
Absolutely love him.
He is so funny!
one liners are the true comedy art form.
😂😂😂
Never heard of him but loved it!
Americans will claim Mitch Hedberg, British Gary Delaney or Jimmy Carr, but in my book Stewart is the undisputed king of the one liner. I like all the others, but what separates Stewart is delivery, wit, simplicity and likeability.
Does anyone remember British comedian Bob Monkhouse? He was a brilliant comic who did one-liners. he always looked so surprised at what came out of his mouth!!
To me one liner comedy is always so corny, but in the most hilarious way. Cracks me up every time 😂
I can't stand if comedy is corny. Makes me feel like I'm lost in a maize.
So so good. Thanks for posting.
I´m pleasantly impressed. I wish you much success, Stewart. 🤗
“In fact, just a stones throw away got me so bad 😂😂😂😂
He is right up there 😂😂
I went to the zoo, behind the one the cages there was 6 baguettes, I ask what that was all about, the zookeepers told me there not sure but it was bread in captivity
My favorite one-liner comedian.
Smart and hilarious 😂😂😂
Great intelligent comedy, doesn’t have me howling but just realised i sat there grinning for the whole clip!!
Brilliant. I have watched this routine several times. He had the other comedians on Mock The Week laughing out loud, too.😂. Sign of a good comedian 👏
He’s got dad jokes that are actually funny, nice and gentle, no screaming cursing political ranting like certain young posh boy comedians
So glad this popped up in my feed. He is really funny.😂
england has no kidney bank, but it does have a liverpool...
cartoonist found dead in home,..details are sketchy...
a cross-eyed teacher lost her job because she couldn't control her pupils..//
Much harder to do than it looks!
Hilarious. Absolutely hilarious.
i wish this clip would never stop
I understand he has retired. What a lost. We need more like Stewart Francis. Please reconsider, Stewart
Stewart and Tim Vine are my two favourite one liner comedians. Tim's are absurdly funny and Stewart's are a bit more nuanced and mature. Very funny dudes
Guy is a lil known gem like Steven Wright
In my opinion, Stewart Francis is far better than Gary Delaney because of the personality he projects and the acting he puts into his jokes. He doesn't just stand there with a silly grin on his face.
And isn't constantly laughing at his own jokes - i like Delaney but hate that about him
Love them both. But they are really different, even If same type.😊
Brilliant
So good. Ages so well.
His one-liners in the "Scenes We'd Like To See" section of MOCK THE WEEK are brilliant.
These one liners keep me good company. Good job Stew!💔
I'd never heard of this guy?... But he is hilarious!!!
Unfortunately, the joke about identifying as an African American was RIGHTFULLY laughed at back then. NOW, it's offensive to morons.
Not in England mate.
We don't give a fuk about being PC
His he Liam Nielson brother
Yes. Yes, it is.😁
He is something special fab
that was very good, thank you!
He’s very good. 😂. 🇬🇧
Good stuff, really like that !!
Hahahaha genius comedian! ❤🏆 Have not laughed this hard in a while! 😂❤ Love from 🇸🇪
4:30 😂Haha
Thanks for sharing, shared.
Very funny. Quite brilliant. As far as cinematography goes, I especially like the blank screen shots of the audience in total darkness.
You need a new screen
@@WorksopGimp You need to turn down your brightness. Bad for the eyes.
Thats was bloody funny!
Have always loved this gents humour. And the fact he is ‘one of us’ (that being, Canadian) is kinda refreshing, as well.
Are you from Canadia?
@@HelloMyNamesNinoI am
Shouldn't you be hibernating by now?
Oh please, Canada frequently dominates comedy! (keep it up)
@@hensonlaura Certainly Trudeau is a joker.
Very funny man. This is real comedy
As a Brit living in Canada, I can confirm his last statement. Hilarious - he wouldn’t get away with most of that here 😁
Why is that?
I was so bad at school I took Spanish, they made me give it back.
that was brilliant i was crying b4 he even got 2 mins in lol
"Daylight come and me wan' go home!!"
Bloody hilarious 😂
I call it Canadia too
Damn! For a moment I thought this was Stew Francis of Crackerjack!
Wow, a comedian that made me laugh.
No swearing or ranting insults at the audience - just funny.
Funny!
Fake laughter track added, you can see at 1.57 there is the sound of lots of clapping but the audience are sitting there not moving, then it cuts to a close up shot of people clapping inserted in from another time.
Maybe the audio is correct and the image is wrong. It's just how you choose to see it.
It’s “Live at the Apollo”. So genuine laughter from the audience as the jokes were delivered. Nothing fake about it. It was a very funny routine.
just watched this for the second time --just as funny
Never heard of him. Excellent first impression.
That was amazing :) Thanks so much
Great material, brilliant delivery.
Clever guy.
Now that's some funny stuff ..
Superb comedian
That was great.
This guy was FUNNY.
