One update. I did notice the Ridge is more forgiving in its elasticity so getting cards in and out is easier than the counterpart. This does not, however, change my verdict.
I use the same wallet as you, can confirm is 10000% worth it and better than the Ridge.

Note that some companies like ridge international make high priced items then use secondary sources to charge it less so that savers can still pay them for "different products"
This was literally the best product review I've seen. Rather than just checking the product on its own merits and how it stands up to its claims, you compared it to a more affordable knock off. That's above and beyond right there.
I wouldn't even be surprised if it's not a knockoff as such, it seems likely equivalent products were already sold before ridge started selling this stuff. Numerous youtube sponsored products are clearly dependent on marketing/advertising, instead of simply having a product people want.
Much like the earphones advertised all over youtube, which were clearly barely(if at all) modified & rebadged existing cheap chinese earphones - which themselves cane be perfectly fine, when they aren't rebadged & overpriced(and indeed, many higher end no-name *wired* earphones from Chinese brands are fantastic & much cheaper than brand names).
Definitely interested in seeing more like this. Who else thinks almost every sponsor won't actually be worth it?
Raycon has some pretty good earbuds. I reckon everything else he'll test in the future will be overpriced.

The carbon fiber pattern gives it not only the appearance of carbon fiber, but also the apparent strength of carbon fiber as well, as the legend is told.
I don't know why I would want to make it harder to get a specific card out than using a wallet a few mm thicker with dividers that let me choose the card more easily.
I had my Ridge for a little over a year before the rivets that held it together began to fall out, causing the wallet to explode after I dropped it at the airport. The clip would also get loose and fall out when I'd pull the wallet from my pocket. The quality of these wallets are really bad, and I will never buy one again.
I paid $5 for essentially the same thing, minus any accessories, off of eBay.
Inspired by this video, I tried out the much cheaper '

I don't get how people can even live with these minimalist "wallets", considering what kind of stuff I carry around in my classic wallet. Like, ID card and drivers license (both not card-sized), spare house key, organ donor signet, a ton of coins for vending machines or parking meters.. where do Ridge users put all those extra items? keep them loose in your pockets?!
Sounds like your country has issues. ID/License/organ donor status are all three on one wallet sized card in the US. Spare key is excessive to carry around, just carry one keyring. Coins are all but useless in the US, nobody carries them aside from loosely in the pocket and then convert them back to bills as soon as you have enough of them. All vending machines and meters take bills or cards.
So, your country is horridly inefficient is the issue.

Loved it. Good job unscrewing with gloves on. Other products.... Um.... Because i dont think youd do the vpns or apps i'll say "hellofresh" its supposed to be a food service that brings you pre planned meals. On a weekly basis and i wanted to know if it was worth it.
No... It's not. Hellofresh is the single dumbest idea of the last fear years.
"Pre Planned Meals" they send you ingredients in a box that you have to cook your self anyways while the food is at a serious markup.
If you gotta cook the shit anyways you might as well just go to the grocery store and get the ingredients your self for a fraction of the costs and pretty much the same time spent.

They actually dont give you enough for a week.
The average cost is about 15 dollars per person per meal. Not including shipping mind you. The issue is with the horribly small portion sizes they send you.
So an example: You place an order for their plans. They send you 3 meals that feed between 2-4 people per week.
Seems good on paper but then the reality sinks in that because they don't send that much, you really only get enough to feed maybe 2 people instead if they're active and need the calories etc.
As opposed to simply going to the grocery store and spending the exact same amount of money and getting tons more food that actually can feed 4+ people for the week.

And the cost for a meal for 4 people for 4 meals a week. Only 4 meals for the entire week mind you is $164.98 with shipping included.
While the amount of food they give does not warrant the price.

So idk how you broke down the prices but all i did was 6.18×4×4=98.88. I assume they ration it to where its only one serving per person in a worst case scenario and one meal per day. 4 ppl. 4 meals.
Btw im not disagreeing. Im just tryin to see how bad or good the deals are. Still mad respect for doin the math tho.

A friend of mine bought them and when I tried em they sounded like ass. Like you can buy a lot better quality earbuds for cheaper than Raycon.

i was just gonna say, i love the idea of ridge wallet. but then i found one from amazon for $20 instead of $120 and couldnt spot any noticeable differences in any reviews, so i bought the amazon one. havent looked at ridge wallet since.

I think it comes down to a combination of "patented vs we don't care about patent laws" and "we were the original who put in the hundreds of hours of R&D, advertising, prototyping, and building a company vs we will steal intellectual property".
You have a good point. How could the situation be corrected? Stop the products at the docks, inform shop owners, how can it be stopped?

@@kg-Whatthehelliseventhat Ehhh, I don't know what the solution is. I do like that no company can maintain a patent (I think after seven years, you lose the exclusive rights). It helps progress society and technology. If Mercedes Benz kept the idea of the automobile to himself, how much further back in technology, descoveries, trade, transport, ect., would we be?
I'd say the solution, or the first steps TOWARDS a solution, would be for customers to be informed, and hold companies responsible. And I think we are seeing that recently, with Target, Budweiser, Ben and Jerry's, ect, but that is for political/ethical reasons, not for stealing copyrights. If we, the market, are not open to intellectual theft products, then there is less demand and money to be made FROM those products. 👍

i'd rather just use a normal cheap arguably better looking 10€ wallet and buy rfid blockers for the cards separately. Saves a 50 without shipping for this. And a pack has a dozen blockers in it. Even the cheap one of the two barely saves money for me.
AND it is more convenient with cash than ridge wallets.

Agree with you ridge wallets are to expensive the best ones are rossm that cost about £30.00 no matter which model you choose and they all come with cash strap and clip with a few spare scews and spare internal elastic and proper screwdriver as some of the other clone's have really cheap and nasty weird screwdrivers and it's all nicely boxed and presented unlike a lot of the cheaper ones

Patents don't matter to Chinese companies. I know the grip pod for instance was knocked off a LOT. They actually would go through sites like amazon to find knock offs and have them removed for infringing on their patent.

As someone who listens to alot of music and cares about audio, I want to know whats up with raycon earbuds. Seems sus as fuck
So I watched for two reasons, one to see if the ridge worked as advertised and 2 because it was entertaining. Full disclosure though I feel that it would've been good to note that ridge wallets have a lifetime warranty for the price. I don't know if that would change your mind or not but it would also be good to see how long the best knock offs last because that could influence the price.
Dunno just food for thought.
One year later, both are in great shape. Ridge still has indent and bend. Other still shows no wear. Both have no issues with strap etc. The materials used are essentially the same, so I don’t anticipate that changing at all.

Its all from China, its all actual carbon fiber and all has RFID. The ridge company just had better advertising than the rest. Carbon fiber wallets were out for a minute, carbon fiber is cheap, highly manufactured, best used for aerospace....a wallet with the fiber, does nothing but look good.
Does anyone know of a hard wallet that's like, a little better for storing cash in? That's one thing I don't get here, like Skeem talkin bout not using the money clip and just putting bills in it sounds like a rly bad idea ngl.
