    The best clone of the ridge is the rossm they even do a lot of the same models but at least a third of the price but most at a quarter of the price of the ridge and the only difference is the lack of a lifetime warranty which does not mean much as the peice most likely to fail is not covered by the warranty and neither is the finish because it doesn't include wear and tear
    So the warranty is not worth the paper it's printed on unless you get one that was badly manufactured and fall apart within a few weeks which is highly unlikely

    How has it held up? I’m thinking about getting the black leather because I don’t have to worry about chipping or it getting paint chips but they don’t have a matching leather key case so I’ve been thinking about this one but with the blue flake.

    • @EverythingPractical

      I have stopped using mine regularly and have since been using my wallet from Vaultskin. At a 5th of the price and it is much more comfortable to carry around.
      But, the ridge wallet held up well. I had quite a few dents around the edges even though I was careful with it.. again, if it were 50.- Id say go for it, but it's too overpriced for what it is, in my opinion.

    • @EverythingPractical
      @EverythingPractical  Год назад +8

      I agree you get what you pay for.
      After owning the ridge wallet and using it for months, I personally still think it is extremely overpriced. The quality is decent but not worth anywhere near the asking price.
      I would not recommend it to people unless they feel like burning money.

      @@EverythingPracticalor people should wait for sales on these, i also got titanium wallet from ridge and my initial feel was similar to yours, it arrived with screwdriver that was already weared out and airtag clip that i had to swap .... luckily i noticed the broken screwdriver just in time before i destroyed the screws 😀
      yes the price when off sale is monstrous ... but its all about profit margins , if rossm or mountain voyage will sell these 10 dollar wallets for 50 bucks they still make good profit anyway , and i would rather prefer ridge when on sale than other similar wallets , im now considering aviator wallet though because of bigger and better accesible coin tray and ability to change capacity of cards , but all of these wallets suffers from one problem that i hate and its that bills are exposed so older bills might tear more quickly when they are double folded and are not covered inside wallet, especially when you carry the wallet inside the backpack and it moves in it with other stuff around

      Comparison, yes. Auto-correct 🤭 and I am calm 🙃 Ultimate Review, not Ultimate comparison 😉 and to note, there is a comparison to another popular style of a minimalist wallet. Did you miss that? What doesnt make sense with your comment is that it infers that all videos should compare to what else is available on the open market, and as it may be nice, that is not the point of most videos. This video is a review of the Ridge wallet. The video is very detailed, and I provide the dimensions of the wallet as well as compare it to another minimalist wallent. The information is there... So, in a way, I wonder if you are unable to deduce the difference of items if it is not clearly laid out for you or, in general, just have unreasonable expectations.

      Im not sure what I said but certainly not more than $10... if you're only looking at this main material cost, a kilogram of Titanium is under $10 and carbon fiber under $20. The tiny tiny pice that is applied to this wallet is very likely worth no more than 25 cents, considering a "small" production run.
