I have a manual 99 Taco with 2.7 engine but my truck doesnt have locking hubs. Engine has 176k on it with original clutch. Solid vehicle. Body and under carriage in remarkable shape. Gonna keep it until it dies
Absolutely! On the front you will need to take out the three nuts off the top of the coil over. Then you will need to release it from the bottom by the bolt on the bottom of the coil over and place in the new one. For the rear you will need to place in an extra leaf. To do so you will swap the leafs or place in an additional leaf by taking apart the old leaf and sliding in an addition. That is a very simple explanation but others out there will have better in-depth videos! Hope this helps though!
I assume you take that thing in the mud and those type air intakes are notorious for getting water sucked in through them. I would add an eBay snorkel if I was you.
The TRD colors on the emblem is a good idea
Thanks Mike we greatly appreciate it!
That’s a awesome truck I’m supper jelly lol that’s a perfect beater truck that will last for years
You got that right!
Not a beater a machine
That engine will run forever 😂
We hope so for Taner's sake, but when it does big plans!
It’ll run for about 180,000 miles until it gets a burnt valve. That’s what happened to mine and all the ones that I’ve seen on RUclips

We used a large u-bolt to hold it down!
I love you bed rack do you have the link for that roof rack
I do not, but it is just the cheapest one on Amazon!
do you think
is too much weight , tires 30s for my tacoma 2.4L single cab , manual trassmicion, 2003?
tnks 😎
Nope! It sounds like a good light truck for off-roading and having fun!
Is this a 2.4 or 2.7 liter?
It is the 2.7 L!
2.7?!!
Yup the ole 2.7!
Does that Ram intake even make a difference?
It gives it a little bit more power but does give it a slight throttle delay!

Thanks for the tip! We will add it to Taner’s project list!
My 2.7 has 280,000 mint af I’m the second owner
Haha nice I got a 2.4 about to hit 300,000

Where did you get your cold air intake from?
It was on the truck when we got it!
Don't put a American engine in a Tacoma.. that would be a sin. Don't down grade Brother
Don’t think we will be doing anything to it anytime soon! That Toyota engine won’t ever die!
