RUclips recommended this video and I’m so impressed with what I just watched. What most impressed me, was your careful approach to disassembly, fabrication, and assembly. I would love to know how much time you spent on this, I’m sure it was a ton of effort! Keep it up Austin!
I was already impressed at the powdercoating of the arms but then you shocked me with the engine swap. All the custom work done is amazing to watch. You have more patience and skill than I could ever imagine having. Bravo and wishing you nothing but the best 👏👏
Man I’m always amazed watching you tear something down and put it back together. I think I’m even more impressed with your fabrication skills though. Awesome to see the vision come to life. You’re a talented dude. That’s an awesome Yota. I’d kill to have one that clean.
I 've had 2 toyota trucks. 1982, 2006 tacoma. They are by far the most reliable trucks I've ever had. Austin is amazing. He is a natural in front of the camera and a natural when working on vehicles. He is truly blessed.
You have some incredible automotive, fabrication, body & paint and welding skills...a true craftsman. Awesome job keeping the great generation of Tacomas on the road!
The time, money, effort, blood sweat and tears you put into that tacoma. I know if that truck could talk it would thank you for bringing it back to life and with some amazing upgrades aswell. Great job bro, go enough it now :)
I have literally watch this video over and over again, well done Austin. I would be thrilled to have such a custom built truck. You truly are the definition of gifted hands. God bless you and preserve you always
Dang Bro, from engine work, tig welding, making your own pipes, body work, painting and on top of that making your own mounts for a different motor !!!! I’m impressed!!!! NICE WORK!! That Taco is a BEAST!!!
Thank you Austin. It is awesome to watch you work and see all of the thought and care you put into the details. It is inspiring to see the transformations take place. Keep it up and keep the videos coming.
Definitely have envious admiration of a young guy with these kind of skills in a home garage..meaning I wish I could do this, or even have the knowledge to plan something like this
This has been a phenomenal project and a true pleasure to see the amazing progress and special skills as well as amazing talent! Thank you for sharing this Austin, it has been truly enjoyable! We are really looking forward to the next chapter! 😁👍🏼
This is one of the best projects I’ve watched in many many years craftsmanship seem impecable and you can feel the pride in the project; just amazing!!!!
By far my favorite build series of your channel! Love your work man, keep up the great work, and thank you for all you do! Can't wait for the next project!
Honestly. Stumbled upon this channel months ago and what you are creating here is mindblowing. To the point where I feel like I should have done something much different career-wise. You have an amazing set of talents and skillsets. There is literally not a single part of a vehicle you cannot touch and improve.
One one hand I'm impressed, but when I saw you take that TDI engine out of that Passat, my heart sunk a bit. Those are a dying breed. VW TDI Passat is probably the best driving vehicle I've ever owned. You got what the VW TDI community calls a 'bombproof' engine in your Tacoma now.
Anytime someone ask me what built vs bought is… share this video. Stumble across this gem at work. Absolutely amazing work. The craftsmanships. The fab work. Top notch my dude!
honestly, what a great transformation. I love watching your videos and honestly I knew this one was going to turn out great. you've set the bar pretty high and it's obvious that you have the skill to knock it outta the park. thanks for sharing!
I only could work on restoring projects with my dad when I was young. Now I'm in something different field but I always loved doing those projects than my job. Your videos are inspiring thanks for your efforts
You are very talented as a mechanic, fabricator, body work, painter. I also know how to do all those things to an extent though what makes you different that the rest is your level of perfectionism and patience and pride in your work. I was blown away when you decided to sand a perfect clear and flow coat it AND THEN wetsand and polish... most people don't understand the amount of work that is in itself let alone everything else. my god man i wish we were best friends!!!!!
Amazing project 🤙 inspires me to start getting to work on my 3rd gen 4runner. Needs a lot of work and it’s overwhelming figuring out where to start haha.
This truck is amazing don’t get me wrong I love the 90s style Toyota pickups like big red and the other green Toyota that you build but this truck is special good job bro good content as always and awesome channel 🤙🏽
Dude! Ive been watching Camerons vids for YEARS from when i used to ride bikes. Last year i randomly found Devins channel. Today i find yours lol 3 brothers, 3 different motorsports.
I tackled the task of rebolting up my rear window motor last week and felt extremely accomplished..01 4Runner 4x4 sr5...thx for shi**ing on my pride..lol...u r a beast my friend..raw talent..thank God everyday for your gift
That was one of the most enjoyable 13:00 minutes I have spent in a while. You have some amazing skills. Did you keep the same housing for the transmission or was that a complete swap? How long did the entire build take?
@@louv409 The 1.9 TDI makes great power and torque for it's size and it is likely the most reliable engine in the entire history of engines, but whatever.
Great build. I like the idea of the deisel in a tacoma, but in my book swapping the engine makes it not a tacoma. That's just me though. Other than that great work, truck turned out amazing
This was an amazing video. Makes me sit here and think I could do that, doesn’t look that hard. Just shows how good you were at it because none of this was a small task.
That’s an awesome build! Never seen a tdi swap into a yota before and now I am just jaw dropped. Started reading your build list and realized we are in the same zip code, keep it up brotha!
Dude this was the coolest video i have seen in I cant even remember how long. First time in awhile I have just sat and watched something without scrolling through the comments and shit at the same time. Amazing work!
90's and 00's vehicles in clean shape will be worth a fortune with EV's becoming mainstream, it will be like luxury mechanical collectible watches. Very clean work. Hats off
Always loved your builds man, a jeep guy but the girl loves the 3rd gen 4runners so I checked ya out to do er up Now, probably a year later I finally got my hands on a 09 Tacoma TRD Offroad, let my build begin as well!
Is there anything you dont know how to do? Forget Wheelers Dealers! Amazing rig and video!!! I got the same 3 spoke leather steering wheel from an MR2 in mine. That a real labor of love! Im sending the video to my whole family so they can appreciate what Ive been doing throughyour video. Please keep making videos. That rig is an inspiration to all the 1st generation Tacoma owners.
Sweet Truck!! I was looking at video's about Raptor paint jobs. But after this video, I'm going back with the original Hunter Green. That's what caught my eye for my truck to start with. Thanks for sharing!!.
That probably has to be my favorite Tacoma, I am a Toyota man through and through and seeing this one, I am going to have to start working on mine! Great build! Great video!
I have wasted alot of my life on youtube and I would not consider this one of those times. Very skilled. If you keep pumping out content like this I don't know why you would 't have millions upon millions of views and followers. Honestly impressed. So many doors and opportunities open to you I would imagine. Keep going strong!

Wow that's a lot if work. Great job! You made is your own, that's what matters most. Love that dark green paint with the metal flake too. Great video editing and music too. Well done!
Wow a man of all trades, when it comes to Toyotas. If I had the money, would buy it. I didn't have a vehicle for 10 1/2 years and someone gave me one from church. It's a 2002 Kia Sportage 4x4. It runs great, but the bottom is all rusted. As soon as it does the death wobble, I just will be without a vehicle again. You do an excellent job on all your vehicle and I bet your glad you can. Keep up the great work. PS don't let what I said make your head swell too much, because then you can't get into the garage to work on them....lol God Bless
Dude is absolutely incredible!! Can really do it all! Only ick i have with the entire build is the bumper and wheel choice. Other than that its incredible.

Skills of 15 craftsman rolled into one person. Blessed with amazing talent. It would take me a year just to JB weld a bumper together and the measurements would be all off.
Super awesome build! I have an imperial jade mica 3rd gen 4Runner. I think the best part for me is how damn clean and repainted you got everything. With 23 years of dirt, mud, grease and oil some parts of my underside are horrendous. Even with frequent cleaning and work. You can't actually see any of it unless you crawl under it but I know it is there.
