Here's the sad part. How many rich athletes and entertainers came from these areas and why didn't they reach back to bring businesses to these communities and create jobs like Magic Johnson did.
jazshas alot of them do, but the sheer amount and the sheer volume of people to help and the incredible amount of these neighborhoods all across the country, there is no way they will even make a dent. Honestly even if the government decided to make this their number one priority and spend tens of billions of dollars it would still take decades to fix all of this

Kids went to school and stayed out of gangs.. What happened since then? Your own government and greedy businesses started selling out its own citizens by getting rid of manufacturing jobs in the inner city, and leaving people to fend for themselves. Blaming it solely on race is the easy argument. There are plenty of poor whites in trailer parks and poor Mexicans too.. its your government that could give a rats ass about you and I in the end..

Sorry for exposing us in public but we black folks need serious emancipation. The black Man in America, Africa, Europe, Caribbean needs to rise up and climb that societal totem pole. This video is heartbreaking.
Sell them to who? In Detroit for example they've lost massive amounts of their population, and pretty much all of their middle class. When the industry started to collapse and the economy went south most people who were fiscally able to relocate left the city. Most of the residents left behind couldn't afford to own a home, so they go unoccupied and uncared for. And even if the city wanted to do the upkeep or refurbish the homes, they barely have enough tax base to keep basic utilities and emergency services running. There is no money, the economy is dead.

Instead of selling these houses for reasonable prices they let them go to waste and abandoned the people around
