Not to mention, if you know anything about THAC or Marble Hornets, the giant break up of that crew is still pretty fresh in my mind.

He saw people like the more outrageous, "this guy's crazy" humor so he ran with it and has been doing pretty good. These older videos give me a Space Hamster kinda feel.

The third game in the series, which in the west is called Joe & Mac 2, is called "Tatakae Genshijin 3: Shuyaku wa yappari Joe & Mac", which means "Caveman Combat 3: the protagonists are really Joe & Mac". Therefore, in Japan the series is called Caveman Combat, not Joe & Mac, which is why the second game can exist and carry the same name.

I remember Joe and Mac really fondly. It was an early SNES game and it's use of color was outstanding. That was the main thing that made it so enjoyable to play over and over again. Big characters and a super colorful screen. It totally said "you can't get this on NES or Genesis."

I am sure someone has pointed this out before, but in case they haven't, and because I don't feel like digging through 3000 comments I will say it anyway. The Japanese Title for Joe and Mac 2, was Tatakae Genshijin 2, which translates into Fight On! Caveman! 2. So if the first Joe and Mac was titled in japan Tatakae Genshijin, then both titles make sense. Also Congo or whatever the name of the character was, is most likely based on Son Goku (Sun Wukong or something like that in Chinese) from Journey to the West (a chinese myth / legend). Dragon Ball is also based on that legend, and DBZ was at the height of popularity in Japan in the early 90's, so Congo's powered up form is obviously just an homage/ripoff of a Super Saiyan.

1. It's a popular setting, but far from the majority, even for domestic developers. 2. Taking place in an area != having that area as a theme. That's like saying that Halo 2's early levels were Africa themed - in that case they were just a backdrop, and whether one or more nationalities or ethnicities were prominent or not is completely incidental.
JetpackClam again, Manhattan themed levels I see as frequently as Moscow or Tokio ones. It's probably related too much on the game genres of what you and I play.

I also fully agree with the second copy rule, I have Silent Hill 1 & 2 and a PlayStation 2, and I sometimes use an emulator instead of playing them on console because of all the video settings I can change, like having it widescreen.
Quarter Nipp I'm aware of that, and as far as I can tell that's how he does his Playstation 1 game reviews (because he has the first sku Playstation 3), but it said that it saved to a savestate. That means he's using an emulator, which is actually a great idea for reviews of older games.

Goku turned Super Saiyan years before the game Congo was in was made. Hell, Gohan probably turned Super Saiyan before Congo. Possibly even Goten.
Edit: 1 year and 8 months to be more precise... so maybe Congo was around the same time as Gohan, though I'm sure Trunks and Vegeta had him beat.

I am sure someone has pointed this out before, but in case they haven't, and because I don't feel like digging through 3000 comments I will say it anyway.
The Japanese Title for Joe and Mac 2, was Tatakae Genshijin 2, which translates into Fight On! Caveman! 2. So if the first Joe and Mac was titled in japan Tatakae Genshijin, then both titles make sense. Also Congo or whatever the name of the character was, is most likely based on Son Goku (Sun Wukong or something like that in Chinese) from Journey to the West (a chinese myth / legend). Dragon Ball is also based on that legend, and DBZ was at the height of popularity in Japan in the early 90's, so Congo's powered up form is obviously just an homage/ripoff of a Super Saiyan.

"Why don't American games make American levels?" - seriosly? Like, 90% of the American games are going on in the Manhattan or other parts of the USA. Not even funny.
1. It's a popular setting, but far from the majority, even for domestic developers.
2. Taking place in an area != having that area as a theme. That's like saying that Halo 2's early levels were Africa themed - in that case they were just a backdrop, and whether one or more nationalities or ethnicities were prominent or not is completely incidental.
JetpackClam again, Manhattan themed levels I see as frequently as Moscow or Tokio ones. It's probably related too much on the game genres of what you and I play.

Perhaps you play as a guy riding a motorized scooter but instead of a basket on the front, there's a turret that shoots McDonald fries, has a grenade launcher that shoots Big Macs, and has an american flag at the back of it. The enemies would be foreigners. Your character would have the beetus, which you have to get pills for. The final boss would be a scrawny guy with robots that capture and cage the population of 'Murica because he wants to take away the freedom, who you'd defeat by riding a bald eagle up into space, jumping off, and impaling him with a 'Murican flag. Also, it'd be open world, 'cause freedom.
You play as a cowboy hat made out of deep-fried beef jerky that has the soul of Chuck Norris, with arms in the shape of the Statue of Liberty, with the crown's spikes as fingers; with a bottle of beer in one hand and an assault rifle in the other, you proudly wear the US Constitution as a cape as you soar through the air on a drone that has the body of a bald eagle, giving cheeseburgers and footballs to all the good children on the fourth of July, and punishing the bad children and the foreigners by waterboarding them without due process.

Tom S. I honestly didn't mean anything negative, I just wanted to point that out. I also fully agree with the second copy rule, I have Silent Hill 1 & 2 and a PlayStation 2, and I sometimes use an emulator instead of playing them on console because of all the video settings I can change, like having it widescreen.

Quarter Nipp I'm aware of that, and as far as I can tell that's how he does his Playstation 1 game reviews (because he has the first sku Playstation 3), but it said that it saved to a savestate. That means he's using an emulator, which is actually a great idea for reviews of older games.

You can't compare pewdiepie to jon - Jon is on a angryjoe level. His videos are creative, funny and rich with content - pewdiepie is just a creep making weird noises while playing games nobody even cares about. The fact that pewdiepie has more subs only shows how the intelligence of society is deteriorating as time passes.
