My son is an over the road trucker and I've gone with him on some of his trips. This video is absolutely on the money on what it's like to live out of a truck. Not easy; but I've found that this is the life these truckers desire at this point in their lives. Remember, EVERYTHING around you has been on a truck at one point. The materials used to build your house, your clothes, your food, your cleaning products,,, EVERYTHING! Without someone willing to haul that stuff around the country, we would only be as good as what we could grow in our own back yards.
I love the care this guy takes to keep things clean! My Dad was a long haul truck driver for over 35 years. His bunk was just that, a 21" mattress behind a curtain. Period. The first trucks he drove didn't have air conditioning (it wasn't invented yet). He started driving around 1950. This driver has a nice setup and a good routine!
I used to have dinner at truck stops so that I could socialize a bit before going to bed. I used to love that time of the evening in my cab, especially in the winter when the heater was running making the cab warm while I was reading or listening to the radio..
Few years back i took a job with a friend where we drove two vehicles from new Jersey to Seattle, Washington. We used CBs while driving so we could communicate with each other and listen to truck drivers to gain road conditions and traffic information. This was before smart phones. The drive would be boring so he'd ask me to sing. I know hymns and opera and studied music so i sang those. Many truckers would tune in to hear me sing Amazing Grace and Jesus Loves Me and In the Garden as well as an Italian or French art song. We would meet some truckers at rest stops and were treated to dinner and i would sing Grace before the meal. It was four days. Ive won Opera competitions, sung lead roles and concerts and now have settled into a life of teaching and church singing. But my favorite audience by far wre those truck drivers who would tune in while on the road. God bless you and thank you for your chosen work. ❤️🎵

This has given me new respect for y’all. I’m impressed with how neat, organized and clean you keep your space. Thank you for sharing!
I don’t use a skillet and propane stove. I have an air fryer oven. And microwave. I cook all the time in my truck too. Doing dishes though, I got a couple of collapsible camping sinks from Walmart, and heat water in microwave to do dishes. Then just dump it out the door. I keep a couple of gallon jugs to fill up at the truck stops for doing dishes.

I’ve been a truck driver since 1977 and I plan on working until they pry me out of the truck. The first 36 years were OTR the last 10 have been line haul and home every night. I drive about 525 miles a day 5 days a week on a dedicated route. It feels like I’m semi retired now compared to living in the truck for weeks at a time. A lot of changes over the years. We used to have to pull on our coveralls and manually set up the tractor and trailer brakes as part of the pre trip inspection. We used to have to find a pay phone every morning by 0800 to check in with dispatch. We used to have to call places for directions before GPS. We used to run multiple log books and run illegal hours before ELD’s. Most of the changes have been positive but there are more and more trucks on the road with fewer and fewer parking spaces.

That guy is one of the few I’ve known that actually takes the time to clean everything up and even make sure all dust, dirt and debris is cleaned and swept out of his truck, even brushes his teeth! Lived with a trucker who worked hard but his excuse was “ I don’t remember to brush my teeth” I’m to busy! Eww!
Thanks for this peek at a segment of a trucker's life on the road. Hats off to all American truckers, who I consider to be the best and most professional on the planet, and thanks for the crucial work you do.
Wish I had that type of set up when I was driving. Unfortunately I drove with another driver for Starnes out of Whittier Calif. We picked up produce and dropped the Trailer at the Canadian Border (New York) then drove Steele Cable back. Was driving a 16 speed road ranger White Cabover. Right a road camode. We never stopped except to fuel up and that's when it was time to grab a bite. One drove and the other attempted to sleep while being bounced around in the back. And is that an automatic ? I used to envy those driving a nice long nose trucks, they are so much smoother.
Been driving 26 years 20 of those OTR i love it ...the 6 years off the road i drove local..hated it..had a boss that was always up my ass..telling me to do stupid stuff...not any more..make my own decisions..and it working for me
Great video; thanks! Just an FYI, you can clean all dishes, flatware, pots/pans just by spraying them with a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcohol and water, and drying with paper towel. That way you don’t need to use so much water or get your hands cold if the water is real cold. I’ve seen plenty of nomads do it in their vehicles. Good truckin’ down the road!
Thank you for all the driving you do to get the people what we need hats off to you I have had many trucker friends , and you my friend can cook me a burger any day Ty god bless you May he always keep you safe

I have watched some OTR truckers from Brazil, they have all of their kitchen needs under the trailer which works great for them. Keep up the good work and stay safe . Thank you
Hey brotha, I like a mix of narrated and non narrated. By all of your instructions, I know a lot of what a pre trip entails, how to put the brakes on when you stop, what to expect at a truck wash and taking breaks and reset. This video was another great one. I look forward to seeing many more.
That's a great idea with the water container in ur tool box. I've been out here almost 10 years doing otr.. never thought of that. I use wet wipes and hand sanitizer. Since I'm a solo driver like u I just drop my bunk bed down and use it for storage. I store a minimum of 5 gallons of fresh water at all times.i usually stay out 8 to 12 weeks and go home for 10 to 14 days.
This is the life of a truck driver I graduated high school in 1977 started driving locally in 1979 then traveling the United States Nationwide in 1981...my dream came true!! Now I'm 63 years old and have no plans in retiring anytime soon!!! ... My rig is my home...
My hat goes off to all the truckers out there. Long hours, sleepwalking in cabin. I don't know how you do it. I do appreciate all you people do getting merchandise all around the country.
Ive been on the road longer than I care to admit. I made various attempts at cooking in the truck but without running water (inside) and dealing with all the cooking "stuff" i decided it just wasn't worth it. Pluse, over time the residues would eventually add up on the interior and I wasn't having that. These days I only eat simple and or microwave basics in the truck and keep it as healthy as possible. For real nutrients, I stop at all the steakhouses I can as well as other restaurants and order extra meals to keep in the fridge and heat in the mic over the next days. I got Irritated with attempting to cook real dinners in a cab without water.
I was a carny for a good chunk of my misspent youth. Lived in a variety of small mobile dwellings. That's a pretty nice setup. Of course I kind of traveled in ongoing party mode for seven years.
you're so clean, neat and organised. I like how you are eating well and trying to stay away from fast food. Travel well! One thing, careful of which vape, some have fake oils for flavoring, that melt when hot but solidify in your lungs.

I too have a lot of respect for their diligence and perseverance. I drive a bus for 9 to 10 hours daily. Frugality aside, at the end of the shift, I don't have what it would take to methodically, prepare, and then clean up after meal preparation. My hat is off to this gentleman's attention to every detail.
May I ask where you got the water container in your side compartment, as well as the foldable table and the lights? Love this video. Gave me ideas for my truck.
I miss running tanker so much. I’ve been considering prime Inc. Leasing tanker. But I’m still on the fence I know freight is really bad right now. But seeing this nightly routine, which was so close to my own, when I work for Schneider. The flat top freightliner was just enough space. As a tanker, parking is so much easier, tank, wash, shippers, and receivers typically have no issue with you parking.

Thanks for sharing. It was nice to see how organized and how you managed everything. Very nice and neat.
I’ve driven across country a few times. Only one shot at a time. This time I was on the road for a month OTR. I could have used your video for ideas. Very cool. Blue water bottle in the side compartment. How simple but so useful. Thank you and Stay safe driver.
This interior's 2x the size of my New York apartment...
It is 4x the size of my Tokyo flat
@@ChatGPT1111It's 6x my pantry under the stairs
😂 and with the cost of living in NYC, you can buy that whole truck no problem.
Highly organized, totally impressed.
Man, props for cooking for yourself instead of eating out. We're RVer's (love you truckers!) and do the same thing in our camper. We plan a menu for a couple of days, go grocery shopping, and then enjoy our favorite meals along the way. Great video and will look forward to more soon. Pete in Arizona - KI7LIL
Hello ❤
That guy is one of the few I’ve known that actually takes the time to clean everything up and even make sure all dust, dirt and debris is cleaned and swept out of his truck, even brushes his teeth! Lived with a trucker who worked hard but his excuse was “ I don’t remember to brush my teeth” I’m to busy! Eww!
Thanks for this peek at a segment of a trucker's life on the road.
Hats off to all American truckers, who I consider to be the best and most professional on the planet, and thanks for the crucial work you do.
Sometimes u just have to take a deep breath and just look out the window and say it's all good, thank u.
Wish I had that type of set up when I was driving. Unfortunately I drove with another driver for Starnes out of Whittier
Calif. We picked up produce and dropped the Trailer at the Canadian Border (New York) then drove Steele Cable back.
Was driving a 16 speed road ranger White Cabover. Right a road camode. We never stopped except to fuel up and
that's when it was time to grab a bite. One drove and the other attempted to sleep while being bounced around in the
back. And is that an automatic ? I used to envy those driving a nice long nose trucks, they are so much smoother.
Been driving 26 years 20 of those OTR i love it ...the 6 years off the road i drove local..hated it..had a boss that was always up my ass..telling me to do stupid stuff...not any more..make my own decisions..and it working for me
Bro is a serious mouth breather
Great video; thanks! Just an FYI, you can clean all dishes, flatware, pots/pans just by spraying them with a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcohol and water, and drying with paper towel. That way you don’t need to use so much water or get your hands cold if the water is real cold. I’ve seen plenty of nomads do it in their vehicles. Good truckin’ down the road!
Man dude! You have it down to a science. I give you credit being out there with all the crazy people. Stay safe 🙂
You remind me of a quote my Dad used to say, “ A place for everything and everything in its place. “ Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Thank you for all the driving you do to get the people what we need hats off to you I have had many trucker friends , and you my friend can cook me a burger any day Ty god bless you May he always keep you safe
That burger smells so good! Thanks for sharing.
You definitely have figured out what you need to have all the comforts of home while you’re on the road.I admire how you keep your living area
clean. I have watched some OTR truckers from Brazil, they have all of their kitchen needs under the trailer which works great for them.
Keep up the good work and stay safe .
Thank you
I applaud you for the cleanliness of your rig. I see so many OTR trucks looking like rolling trash cans.
Hey brotha, I like a mix of narrated and non narrated. By all of your instructions, I know a lot of what a pre trip entails, how to put the brakes on when you stop, what to expect at a truck wash and taking breaks and reset. This video was another great one. I look forward to seeing many more.
Im so ready to go OTR soon. I leave in a week to start my first driving job. It seems so peaceful.
Major respect to you bro. Thats not an easy life. I felt guilty watching this from the comfort of my own bed at home.
Talk about ingenuity! This is amazing. Shout-out to all the truckers on the road!
This is the most authentic video of trucker's daily routines I'd ever seen. Thank you for your service.
My husband and I were otr for years and watching all the "van lifers" living on the road like it's fun really crack me up. 😂
It is fun though
This is the life of a truck driver I graduated high school in 1977 started driving locally in 1979 then traveling the United States Nationwide in 1981...my dream came true!! Now I'm 63 years old and have no plans in retiring anytime soon!!! ... My rig is my home...
OMG - your like me -- very nice Rig -- very nice set up -- and your a very Neat Person -- keep on keeping ON.
Thanks for sharing with us! It’s like a camping adventure, but for you I’m sure it’s just a routine. Be safe.
Brings back many memories of being an OTR trucker. The sacrifices are many. Its not an easy life.
Serious respect to truckers. Thank you for ehat you do to keep our lives moving forward ❤
See, this is why I never stop learning from fellow drivers. That water in the sidebox is genius. Be safe, bro.
I’ve never known any truckers nor seen any videos. This is super impressive. Be safe out there, lots of idiots on the road.
My hat goes off to all the truckers out there. Long hours, sleepwalking in cabin. I don't know how you do it. I do appreciate all you people do getting merchandise all around the country.
Recently i got my truck license, and for sure this is the life i always wanted❤
Yea, the "build up" is one of the reasons I dont cook either
Wow! Well done! You have this down to a science 👍. Very interesting to watch. Thanks for sharing.
One thing, careful of which vape, some have fake oils for flavoring, that melt when hot but solidify in your lungs.
i am impressed how neat and tidy you are, my husband is like you, i like things clean, but sometimes i am messy.
I always wondered how y'all washed dishes and pans. Thanks for showing us your routine after you shut down.
My childhood dreamzzz...to be the trucks driver/pilot.....god bless you man...
A place for everything and everything in it's place.
I got to go on several multi-night trips with a friend of mine. My favorite part was sleeping in the bunks at night. There's something about it.
You work for 40yrs to have $1M in your
retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K in a meme coin from just a few months ago and now they are multimillionaires.
I want to compliment you, you have said it all. I am a little business owner and I really want to expand my business to the next level by making myself an investor but I really don't know how to go about it..
@AdrianMarsh-e3t You are right. Been thinking of going into gold and cyptocurrency
You’re right but a lot of people remain poor due to ignorance
Not because of ignorance, it’s because of the high rate of unprofessionalism in the cypto market
Cypto is a whole different ball park. I would only invest funds in it that you are willing to lose or don't need. In terms of day trding cypto I don't keep an eye on anything at the moment except XRP. Wouldn't be the right guy for day trding cypto
A real Man Tells his Storie 100% RESPECT For a real Fucking Truck Night Camping Routine Been doing it for 33 plus Years
Much respect, there's alot going on in a tight space.
This was incredible to see. Thank you. God Bless you and all our truckers
Well done!! 💐 You are extraordinary tidy person.Everything is clean and in order. Greetings from Finland ❤🇫🇮🌞
I used to drive. It’s nice to see a neat driver. You might want to consider an induction burner. They’re inexpensive, powerful, don’t require gas, and they’re safer. Accidents happen, eventually.
Very clean and organized
Ya been driving now for 2.5 years and I LOVE my job. Its hard to stay away from work lol finish a 14 hour shift and already thinking about the next shift. It's such an amazing feeling doing something you love!
He keeps everthing so nice snd clean. I am thankful for every truck driver to deliver things for us to have.
ASMR Type thing mmm I don’t know if love it or hated it man we need to hear you 😂😂 10/10 Vid
As a former Infantryman I could live like this and is paradise…
May I ask where you got the water container in your side compartment, as well as the foldable table and the lights? Love this video. Gave me ideas for my truck.
Water jug and folding table at Walmart, the led lights picked up at bestbuy $50
@@truckingwithrex Thank you. It’s appreciated.
Organisation is next level satisfying!
WOW just WOW you have given me a whole new perspective and respect for what you do and how you have to live to achieve that!
Have been looking for someone reliable to buy/rent truck/Mack from it’s been difficult.
Finding someone trustworthy to give you good trucks are hard this days, I bought mine 6 year back and I have 4 of them
Trucking isn't an easy business to handle have been having issues.
I have bought 3 trucks and also rent 5 weekly all from Mr Thompson he's good in the business @@WilsonGaston-co1tw
Oh you know about him I have been doing business with him for three years now he so trustworthy 💯 ❤️ ❤️
I love the facts the he give great warranties and also make sure his customers has the best. 💯 💯 ❤️
Great Job Rex! I've never seen a video like this before. Thanks So Much For All That You Do! Stay Safe! ❤❤
Fascinating. I admire how well organized you are. Happy trails~! Safe travels~!
