    What I love about this is that chickpeas are dirt cheap, last forever and are healthy.

      Besides how tasty they are, that's one reason I love using them in recipes too!

      @@tilasole3252I consider my myself an above average cook but used to be intimidated by dried beans so I always used to buy precooked canned beans. But honestly though theyre actually super easy to deal with. Just have to soak em over night before boiling, Big deal. And theyre probably the cheapest way to eat. Bulk dry beans and rice youll be eating for pennies on the dollar.

    Just mix them together in a bowl and spread them out on the sheet pan. That way the spices and oil are evenly coated. I have created about 30ish different versions of crunchy chickpeas over the last 15 years. Trust me: mix before, then put on the sheet pan. Alternately, you can put the dried chickpeas into a ziplock bag, pour the oil and spices over them, then mix in the bag before putting on the pan to roast. Also works great in an air fryer (Or so I've been told. I don't have one).

    • @nilnil7325
      @nilnil7325 4 месяца назад

      Agreed, oil and spices don't end up evenly coating the chickpeas if its done on a baking sheet. I like to add the oil and spices to a bowl and mix well with a spoon. Then I'll add the chickpeas (or vegetables...etc) to the bowl and toss, or use a spoon or my hands to mix it. What's your favourite version of chickpeas so far?

    TIP: to get the peas really dry (it matters) just take the collander into the bathroom and blow dry them with your hair dryer while gently scooping them around.
    The dryer they are the crispier they get. They will cook faster, too. Go easy on the oil. It goes a looong way and too much reverses your drying effort.
    Pour the dry peas into a large bowl and just season them and oil them in the bowl, stirring to get even coverage.
