Thank you for this. I happen to have the same airfryer and made this as a surprise snack for my wife. She loved it. FYI, I used tinned chickpeas, rinsed, drained and then per your recipe.
this recipe saved my chickpeas which were about to be thrown away.. actually they were tasting really bad after freezing for 8-9 months but this recipe made them eatable now . thanks
Having just got an air fryer I have been disappointed with the results of other recipes on RUclips - none have mentioned cooking the beans first after soaking so I shall try your recipe and hope for a better outcome! Thanks
@@KuchPakRahaHai Yes you're correct am searching for this recipe.because in our place canned chickpeas are unavailable 😢 thankyou so much for this version
Mine turned out soft from inside and crunchy from outside. Followed all the steps as mentioned in the video. Made sure it dried completely and air fried it for additional 5 minutes. Don't know what went wrong.
Sorry to hear that. This can happen if either the chickpeas were not dried completely or they were overcooked in boiling step (cooking time can vary sometimes depending on the quality of chickpeas). I would suggest reducing the pre-cooking time & drain them as soon as the pressure is released from cooker.
The concept of preheating air fryer is same as that of a oven. To preheat my philips air fryer, I set the given temp & rotate the time knob to 4 or 5 minutes. You can also refer to your air fryer manual for preheating instructions as certain air fryers have preheat mode also.
Hi, Did you dry off the chickpeas completely before air frying? If the chickpeas have moisture in them, they don't become crispy. Also, The chickpeas become crunchy as they cool down. If they are still not crispy, please try air frying them again for 4 to 5 more minutes.
Can you please make video for french fries as well? Have been struggling to find correct temp and time combination. They are coming out over burnt with preset! 🤦🏻♀️ TIA
No. You don't need to precook groundnuts before airfrying. Just toss them in oil, salt, spices and air fry. For full step by step recipe with images, please refer to the link below: www.kuchpakrahahai.in/masala-peanuts-in-airfryer/
Time taken in air fryer is nowhere near where the recipe says it takes. Plan on at least 1.5hrs at 200 degrees. Mine's still not done after 1 hour but it's getting there. Determined to make this in the future as well - will use a convection oven instead.
1-1.5 hrs time is too much. Are you air frying at 200°C or 200°F? Can you please check once if your air fryer temperature is in Celsius or Fahrenheit as sometimes it can vary from brand to brand & country also.
Sorry. Seems like user error. I was using at 200F since I was afraid it might char the outside and leave the inside soft. Your video is clear about it being Celsius.
You can easily store them for 5-6 days in an airtight container. In case you feel they have lost their crunch, air fry them again in a preheated air fryer for 1-2 min. Let them cool down first & then store.
This happens when the temperature is too high. If you are currently airfrying at 200°C (400°F), then I would suggest lowering the temp to 180°C (350°F).
Thank you. You can always add more seasoning to it as per your taste. Yes, using a tin of cooked chickpeas will cut down few steps. As chickpeas tin is not readily available everywhere that's why recipe has been explained from scratch here.
If you air fry them directly without cooking they become super hard (not crunchy). You can cut down the soaking & boiling step by using canned chickpeas.

So do we need to boil till they become soft ?
Yes, boil them till they are just tender soft and not over-cooked mushy. Do not leave them in water once the pressure is released from the cooker.

Can U use canned?
Yes, you can use canned chickpeas. Just drain & dry them well (as shown in video also)
For how many days can we store them in an air tight jar?
You can easily store them for 5-6 days in an airtight container. In case you feel they have lost their crunch, air fry them again in a preheated air fryer for 1-2 min. Let them cool down first & then store.
👍👍😋😋

I used shop bought canned chickpeas. Within the first 5 mins mine basically exploded in the air fryer....😃

Great recipe. Bit of a flaf though. Just buy a tin of cooked chickpeas then add to the air fryer. So much easier and still crunchy

Yes, using a tin of cooked chickpeas will cut down few steps. As chickpeas tin is not readily available everywhere that's why recipe has been explained from scratch here.
😋👍❤️🇺🇸
There is no need to pressure cook them first. Why not just put them straight into the air fryer?
If you air fry them directly without cooking they become super hard (not crunchy). You can cut down the soaking & boiling step by using canned chickpeas.
