This is the most delicious cake. I’ve made it twice in the past 24 hours. Trust me, you end up with just as good a cake by dumping everything in a big bowl and combine with a hand whist gently till well mixed, a minute only. New favourite 👏👏👏
It's so soft and delicate!! I doubled the ingredients except for the sugar and used orange vanilla powder instead of vanilla extract, separated the wet and dry ingredients as you said, used a fork to whisk instead and didn't sift, monitored the cake because I'm using a different air fryer, and it turned out amaaazing! Very delicious. This is my first time baking anything ❤❤ It took 25 mins in 180°C preheated Dyson air fryer
2 eggs whisk until fluffy 1/2 cup sugar add two batches whisk and combine well 80ml or 5 tbs oil/melted butter whisk well 1 cup all purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt shift using strainer add dry and liquid ingredients together 2 batches and whisk well 1/4 cup milk 1 tablespoon vanilla extract combine well 7 inches baking pan, cover everything with oiled parchment paper 320F/160C 35-40min
Never baked a cake in my life and I don’t like too much sugar so I tried your recipe but used three tablespoons of pure brown cane sugar and it was just perfect . Not too sweet and it’s such a soft cake cooked right through . It took one hour total time and I added grated coconut to mine . Thanks
I have a 6qrt XL air fryer, and ordered a set of air fryer essories , like the pan you are using. from Amazon , instead of using the sheets to cover the pan I just use cooking spray, my favorite cake that my mom always made was coconut cake, and I can't wait for the items to come this Friday. 😊
I had to watch this again this evening to make blueberry muffins for my kids and I didn’t miss a thing , the only thing is that I added blueberries after I mixed everything 👌. Thank you so much
This was great!! I cook a lot but I've always been intimated to bake but this was soooo good and easy! My first ever baked goods from scratch! Thank you so much for this!
I tried making a cake in my air fryer this morning and it was a disaster! I’m still fairly new to air frying but next time I’m going to follow your video. Looks awesome!
Excellent video. Calming and instructive at same time. I have a very small air fryer. Over the holidays I've used the oven, but normally we use the hob and air fryer. The difference in power usage is amazing. Slow cooker, microwave and air fryer is the way to cook now. My oven needs cleaning, then it will be retired till Easter.🤣
I’m not much of a sweet person, but my husband is. He was asking me to make a simple cake and I’ve been postponing it for a while. This looks like something I can do. Thank you for this beautiful tutorial ☺️ I watch your videos and have tried a few. You are a great teacher 🙇♀️
i added cacao chips, pure vanilla instead of almond, a bit of cocoa to hide some healthy reishi mushroom powder, and swirrled left over cherry pie filling through it. Crushed pistachios on top. Delish.
I really appreciate your work style. The way you mentioned ingredients and their quantities are really helpful. Quantity to teach a recipe is also perfect. I have never comment on any RUclips in my whole life but it is really comforting of you. Thank you dear.
That looks amazing I'm getting ready to try it I'll let you know the outcome anything I can do in an air fryer I'm a happy camper thank you for the video. Well I just made it and oh my goodness thank you so much it's delicious
Hellooo Chris. Am soo glad to hear that you tried the vanilla cake and loved it. Its really delicious. Thank you for the feedback as well. Stay tuned for more simple recipes💥🌷
Thank you so much for putting your recipe in under your video, because it just so happens that I cook in my kitchen not in my living room I but I can take my tablet into the kitchen and follow the recipe or write it down on a piece of paper. And thank you so much this makes my life easier.
Delicious when done, however: 1. I'm using a Ninja Foodie Smart Lid - the Air Fryer option. I also used a Ninja Foodie cake pan. 2. The parchment paper *on the sides* proved to be a problem - the air blew them around such that they fell into the cake within the first two minutes. I pulled out the side parchment, losing some batter in the process AND discovered I didn't need them at all. The cake pulled away from the sides with ease when done. 3. I air-fried it at 320 for 38 minutes and stuck in a knife, came out clean, so stopped the cooking. Turns out there was about 3 tsp. of raw dough left in the center/bottom. Once I removed that part, it was OK. 4. However, the cake rose up high in the middle yet stayed low on the sides, ?odd? and so it looked like a little mountain when I took it out. It still tasted good, though. I don't know if the invasion of the parchment paper and its removal played into that so will make it again tomorrow leaving out the side parchment paper. 5 I used 1/2 melted butter + half canola oil for the oil part; I also used lowfat milk plus a little cream, not having whole on hand. I used 3/4 TB of vanilla, and added lemon flavoring for the other 1/4 TB. Perfect flavor. I, too, thought about adding blueberries and coconut (toasted first perhaps?). Just concerned about the rising in the middle. Anyone else experience this? Ideas? Thoughts?
Fantabulous. Thank you so much just made this its going in the air fryer have to say it was super easy and cant wait to eat with custard. It came out perfectly saving the recipe for ever.
@SimpleRecipeKitchen thank you so much for this recipe, this is the simplest and best so far. I tried it with both air fryer and oven and i will say i prefer the air fryer method,it cane out perfect👌
I’ve just purchased a medium Russel hobbs air fryer, and sent for a 7 inch pan. Will the recipe measures still be the same ,or should I not fill to much so it doesn’t spill over
Very nice and easy I have not made cake in a long time because I don't like to use oven. But this is so easy. I have a question can you use any small baking pan in the air fryer please let me know before I make the cake. Thank you. Be blessed.
Do I have to wait for the preheat timer to beep, when it’s ready to start the mins and put in the cake to start baking? Sorry for the dump question as I have never bake before.
I came here, from your website, because I had a question about adding vanilla twice in the instructions. Also noticed a discrepancy between the printed recipe under the video and the website on the amount of sugar. Please consider correcting your site and video description info to agree with your video. I've adjusted my copy, from your site, to what I believe to be correct. Looking forward to learning how to bake in an air fryer. Thank you for your help in doing that here.
