When I sort through my things I tend to ask "would I miss this if it were gone?" when the answer is no, which it typically always is, I either donate it or toss it.

Loved this Katie!! You can definitely downsize on a lot of things or even just find better storage options. Get rid of that wedding dress girl!! Donate it to a charity shop or sell it. So much negative energy will be coming from it x

Just an idea - have you tried looking at all your stuff and thinking 'what do i love?' and picking those bits out, and then discarding the rest? Ie the opposite to looking at it and thinking about what you want to throw away. Your new house is amazing!!

Your new home is unreal - so much space, that kitchen, wow!!! Good that you know that you have too much stuff, now cull, cull, cull - starting with that wedding dress ;) Look into under-the-bed storage bins, but be non sentimental about getting rid of stuff, those are only “things”! Can’t wait to see once you’ve settled. It’s a great home - congratulations!!!

When I was trying to decrease my amount of stuff I found listening to The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up on audiobook really helpful. Love your new house, it looks amazing!

There are strong scientific links between using too many bath bombs etc and yeast/uti infections...they can alter natural ph so just try and reduce lush bath bombs...house is gorgeous btw...good luck

Over a year ago. Time to move on and get rid of the dress.
I think I would have binned it as soon as someone dumped me. How could someone propose and dump someone! Especially someone as pure and beautiful as her!
Maybe this is just an American question but I saw the washing machine in the kitchen of both places. Is there a dryer?
Kristin Cryer uk rental properties don't tend to come with dryers. We mostly air dry our clothes and unless the place is huge the washing machine would usually be found in the kitchen (not always though). Homes, especially in London, tend to be smaller than American homes.

Kristin Cryer oh you absolutely should! I now live in Asia and as much as I love it, I always miss home. The UK is a lovely place to live
Joanne Dolbear I lived in Egypt for 2 years when I was 15...way to young to really appreciate the experience. I haves lived in all areas in the US and I have no fear of moving anywhere. The UK is even less intimidating because they speak English 😂😂
Yes Kristin is right, no dryer! We have a washing line in the garden and also drying racks for the winter :) x
I hope the 'I want to be more minimalist' thing was a joke, cos that will never happen.LOL Man, you have a lot of 'stuff'. Keep up the good work with the de-cluttering. You could get rid of a lot more stuff. Why do you still have your old wedding dress? Its not like your going to wear it if you ever do get married, hey? That would just be weird. Get rid of it and start to let go.
