Bless your heart! You are so sweet! I am 63 years old and just having my first one next week and am so anxious about it. I have been crying through your video because you have encouraged me so much by just saying "you're gonna be fine". Thank you! God bless you!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, it has made my day 🥰❤️ I completely understand how you are feeling anxious but I promise you will do amazing and you will be fine ❤️ I really hope I have managed to make you feel a bit more at ease about it! But I promise you will be in and out quicker that anything and make sure you have a nice snack afterwards 🥰❤️ I hope it goes well, let me know how you get on, good luck and thank you so much 🥰❤️
I have a colonoscopy every year. I drink the prep with a straw. It helps not to taste it as much. Be careful not to drink the prep too fast through the straw as it might cause nausea.
Omg I will have to try this next time!! Anything to help avoid the taste of it! Thank you so much for your tip and I am sorry you have to have them every year ❤️
@@lc-il6wr well actually it’s gone down to every two years now but for about 10 years, yes, I had yearly colonoscopies. I have a condition to where I have multiple polyps. When I got my first colonoscopy they found about 100 polyps and removed them. The 2nd year I had about 50. Through the years I’ve made diet changes that have helped to where I might have 4-5 polyps. So the doctor decided I could go 2 years now.
@@louisearmbruster Hello all is well, yes the prep is yucky but worth it so they can see all they need to. Sedation and gas and air were really helpful. Only problem was my bp soared up (anxiety?) they said the sedation would bring it down which it did, the team looked after me so well and once home my bp was normal if not better than normal 😉 Anxiety gone now and very thankful you put this vlog up 👍👏❤️
@@hev2519 Aww amazing I am glad it all went well! I am pretty sure mine was the same, I felt quite anxious beforehand but the anaesthetic did the job too!! Hahaha amazing how relaxed it makes you feel 😂 I am so glad it went well for you, I hope you are well and thank you so much for your support in watching this video and commenting 🥰 sorry for the late response too!!
I took three days off all together, the first day for the prep, the second for the procedure and the third for recovery ( plus I get put under anaesthetic and you can't drive for 24 hours afterwards)! I would recommend the extra day for recovery through as you may feel a little bit uncomfortable! ❤️
