When my children were little , my home was never tidy . Blink , and they've grown up and have homes of their own . I totally agree with you , dont stress , its all about the journey ❤. Lovely to see you 😊
I can definitely sympathize Remi. I needed a motivational video just like this ❤️👍🏻I was so excited to see a new video from you, have made my day🤗🌺maybe I can find a place in all my mess to get started. And I’m renaming my mess : My burnout challenge 👍🏻🙏
Agreed! I just made the weirdest noise when I saw you had uploaded a new video. I clicked on your channel so I could clean and declutter with you on in the background. I’m not watching this yet though, I’m going to save it for later to sit down and actually watch properly for once and enjoy. ❤
Hi Remi. Long time follower. I have ADHD, late diagnosed and you have well articulated my struggles. Thank you! I am now a declutter coach , trained by Dana K white and work with other ADHD folks. I figure I If I can turn it all, around, I can also help others to do the same.
You motivate me every time Remi. Even though my child is grown up and gone I love watching your videos . When I feel low and can’t be bothered to do anything you always give me the impetus to get going. You’re an amazing young lady. Many thanks xxx
I've been feeling really extra mentally ill, not sleeping or eating well, but your videos motivate me so much and show me that it's okay to take my time and not feel guilty for being overwhelmed. ❤ Baby steps
Exactly what I'm in the mood for. Cleaning, but realistic and slowed down. Because I'm real and slowed down and as much as I enjoy the sppedy ones they can leave you feeling alienated if you're not feeling capable of doing a lot at once in your own home....going to finish watching after I refill my hot water bottle . Thanks Remi for providing me with the Remi Show! 🥰
Thank you for another great video. I'm a clean-as-you-go type, but I appreciate the insight into why this doesn't work for everyone. Some people just can't fathom that other people experience things differently, or as you said, they just don't want to understand. Thank you for explaining it to those of us who do want to understand.
Hi Remi, thank you so much for this video. ❤❤❤ It was very helpful to watch. Me as a single mom of 2 can relate to how mess can build up within only minutes. Feeling exhausted and overwhelmed is a daily issue. Although I have always been more in the OCD direction. But: having kids, divorce, depression phases have made me change. I love things neat and clean. At this point of my life it's really executive disfunction that happens to me. Upcoming deadlines really push me to get things done. I really love your words: neat is enough, it doesn't have to be perfect. 😊 I'm looking forward to the other parts of your series. Have a great week ❤❤.
My mum accidentally got a kitchen bin that was far too small, so that we have to empty it at least once a day, often twice, because there's not much room in it. But it was a faff to replace it, so she just kept it 'for now'. Anyway, it turned out to be great and she hasn't gone back to a normal size bin, because nothing sits around long enough to smell!
You have described perfectly what happens with my house and me. I have 4 kids in a 2 bedroom apartment. There is always something messy, no matter how hard I try. I beat nyself up mentally for not being able to do the things that need doing. I appreciate you so much for your honesty. It has helped me immensely just knowing imnot alone. Thank you!
I love watching your videos they are so relatable and most of the time give me the boost to get up and the cleaning done especially when I've been putting it off all day 😀
Thank you for teaching me, my "something new" for the day; I was just talking with my best friend this weekend about "how do people schedule more than one event per day" because I struggle to relax in between...which sounds an awful lot like "waiting mode". Enjoyed today's video - carry on 😊
New subscriber here!!🎉 I really enjoyed your video and it kinda hit close to home except my kids are fur kids. You got me motivated today and will definitely be tuning in for more!! Thank you!❤
I love watching your videos and hearing your thoughts Remi. We have a lot in common, both with our particular neurodiversity and outlook on life. I’ve learnt a lot about myself and others by joining your channel. To give a very small thing back, one thing which really helped me with the rubbish round was starting to green waste compost (which is collected every week by our Council). I’ve heard you talk about how you struggled with sickness (especially when pregnant), so thought I’d share what helped for me with house smells triggering it off (especially now I’m entering early perimenopause). I hate retching, even now just brings back endless rounds of ice chips and trips to the doctor. Lush’s weird sticky peanuts are also compostable. I don’t know about your Council’s collection or if you do it all off camera, but it saved me from hitting the vomit button so many times. Sending my best from my family to yours. ❤
I enjoyed you talking about different ways to clean depending on our mood. I love doing rubbish first, then moving stuff to the right room, then putting stuff away, then cleaning. Other days I like to start on the left and move in a circle dealing with whatever is in front of me. That way takes more energy but I love knowing everything behind me is clean. Choosing the method each time helps me to be more motivated. ❤
Oh you just made my day!!! I just FINALLY did a big clean yesterday in my kitchen after putting it off for months. Got rid of all the old, unused bits and bobs, washed all the dishes, and scrubbed my floors. I thought, “Remi would be so proud of me!” 😂 I love listening to you and have been trying to get to the same mindset that I’ll do what I can when I can and not hate myself for not being perfect. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and struggles with us!
I recently found your channel Remi, and I’m obsessed! You’re my absolute favorite!! I love your kind words and thoughtful insights, the love and care you show your family, your home, and yourself. You’re so inspiring! I had never tried the body double thing before finding your channel, and it works so well for me. Thank you for sharing your home and time with us!!! I love watching a new video and spending some time “with” you! ❤
What I love the most about your channel is that it's just a regular mum cleaning a regular house and being quite content with her situation - you never preach, you never try and sell us sh!t we don't need or tell us how using such and such will "change your life" and I always come away feeling 'good enough'. I know I can manage perfectly well with what I've got and that I'm doing my best and that's enough! Also, I literally thought everyone sat and waited ALL DAY for their 6pm shift to start 😅 are you telling me that's not normal?? 😂
I love how you explain the feelings behind the mess. Your voice and accent are so soothing. Small suggestion: What would it look like if you slowly started introducing small chores to your boys? Kids love the praise that comes along with picking up their blocks and things. They also get a sense of pride.
You make a positive difference for me. I watch at least one of your videos everyday. Many times more than one. I just listen to you sometimes, too. Your channel makes me feel so good. I can't believe I am not alone in these disabilities. Thank you.
I am sitting here right now waiting for a doctor's appointment. I didn't even know the inability to get anything else done had a name! I have had waiting mode issues all my life. And like your brother, I usually have to take a breather after the appointment as well. For those of us who have had these issues earlier in life, adding children is like the icing on the cake! And because we love them we want to be examples to them, and that can get really challenging. Thank you so much for your videos. It is nice to know one is not alone.
Yes timers really work less stress also i try to make my bed first thing i try to clean up before bed not always but I'm old now no kids at home when mine was little my house got messy but not filthy but again my boys are 13 years apart big difference
I remember the days when there was no food recycling in my area and all the food everything used to go in the same bin bag, and the bin used to be heavy too, now bins are a lot lighter n less smelly 😂
You instantly brighten my day Remi when I see you’ve posted a new video! Watching you clean is like a warm hug from a friend who just GETS it!!! Thank you for being you! ❤❤❤
What you've said in this is so me. Especially the part about waiting for appt or getting somewhere. Even though I set reminders it doesn't help. I love listening to you. x❤
Waiting mode is my biggest hurdle. Also why I rarely order in food or get supermarket deliveries - far too stressful - I literally wait by the window stressing. I always try to get early appointments so that it minimises the lost time but not always feasible. If I do double book myself then the gap between appointments is too long and is often counter productive (non driver so depending on public transport to go to and from town and then back again can be a gamble).
I also try and get any appointments out of the way as soon as possible!! Can also relate about the not driving situation. So much can feel out of our hands.
So lovely to see you remi , omg that's me all over I cannot concentrate to do anything if I know I have an appointment ect in that same day , I have to do one thing in a day not multiple, 😂
I wish I had the energy to do so much work in one day. I do recognize all the things you say, not being able to start, having to wait for the appointment before you can start, needing a day before and after working for one (even part of the) day. But I will do my best to follow your advice 🤍
I'm wondering if ED has an opposite. I lay awake at night planning and going through time after time things I need to do in detail, journeys I need to make ext so much so I can't sleep then I find it so difficult to do. I will literally walk around the supermarket in my head 10 times before going picking up everything I need.
That sounds like hyper-vigilance to me. Especially if you know you have a predisposition towards forgetfulness, it can manifest as things like waiting mode, or the things you’ve described there. I think it also falls under the umbrella of OCD or anxiety.
When my children were little , my home was never tidy . Blink , and they've grown up and have homes of their own . I totally agree with you , dont stress , its all about the journey ❤. Lovely to see you 😊

You are my favorite body double Remi❤
Absolutely means the world! Thank you ❤️

Ike loves those packing materials!!! 😂
Wow get out of my heard...
This is me your talking about..😮

Remis new video pops up on my home page... 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Devine timing 😂
Hi Remi! Lovely to see you again. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊

Oh bless you! You should never feel guilty. You’re so right, baby steps. I hope you’re feeling a lot better soon. ❤️
Remi it all happens to the best of us...glad were not alone!!❤😅 great job❤
Exactly what I'm in the mood for.
Cleaning, but realistic and slowed down. Because I'm real and slowed down and as much as I enjoy the sppedy ones they can leave you feeling alienated if you're not feeling capable of doing a lot at once in your own home....going to finish watching after I refill my hot water bottle .
Thanks Remi for providing me with the Remi Show! 🥰
Omg remi I didn't even know it was a thing I can't plan anything if I have an appointment ❤
I'm the same. I get nothing done on garbage day until it's picked up. Feels stupid but it's reality.
Thank you for another great video. I'm a clean-as-you-go type, but I appreciate the insight into why this doesn't work for everyone. Some people just can't fathom that other people experience things differently, or as you said, they just don't want to understand. Lovely to see you remi alwayes love your vlogs waiting patiently for the next one 😊
I feel the burnout! Working on my pantry today. Taking a break & found your new post! Just what I needed!!❤😊

I actually love this!!! Little things like this, that you wouldn’t really consider, can make all the difference.
You are a great mom and woman, a messy home isnt gonna change this. Just wanted to say this❤
Привет из России ❤
Hello! ❤️
You have described perfectly what happens with my house and me. I have 4 kids in a 2 bedroom apartment. There is always something messy, no matter how hard I try. I just Love your videos! I've been checking almost daily for a new one lol ❤
Thank you Remi ❤ as always you are the best. So kind, compassionate and real!

Waiting mode is horrible and so difficult to explain to people. Thank you for sharing it helps to feel seen and know I'm not the only one. ❤
I so enjoy you, Remi. Watching you mop, i thought there was a crumb on my ipad screen, but you mopped it up! How funny
I love how you explain the feelings behind the mess. Your voice and accent are so soothing. Small suggestion: What would it look like if you slowly started introducing small chores to your boys? I could relate to every single thing you said! It was like my brain was telling me how its life was going! Thank you for this!
Super video and some really sensible advice! ❤
Thank you so much Irene! Really glad to have you here again ❤️
Ahhh! Just in time!!!
Yes !!! to these, Wait mode - > can you name a few of the strategies you learned? Task paralysis 😢 yes.
❤ You are inspiring for me. Thank you.
Such a lovely thing to hear, thank you as well ❤️
I love your videos you so crown to earth ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you ❤️
Brilliant video yet again ❤ Ive been waiting for this to pop up I get withdrawals 😂 x
A real person , posting a video about real mess, it's refreshing :)
No wonder you burned out a whole house in one go is way to much i would say take it slower but if you have kids that probably feels impossible
Nothing wrong in having children pick up before bedtime make it a game
Thank you❤
Thank you for such a relatable and timely video!
Thanks for the therapy session ❤
You’re more than welcome ❤️
I love mess like this. Real life mess. Kids are happy and healthy mess.
Love your Videos. How long did it take to clean the hole kitchen?
This is so me! Thank you so much for a wonderful video.
I remember the days when there was no food recycling in my area and all the food everything used to go in the same bin bag, and the bin used to be heavy too, now bins are a lot lighter n less smelly 😂
My favorite person to watch! Love it when I see new video up 😊
Ten minute timers have been a game changer for me and my 9yo daughter!
Omg, I am exactly like that with appointments!
Double bag, the trashcan so you don’t get the ick at the bottom
I would put two layers of paper towel on the bottom to mitigate the ick factor
I don’t want to touch that ick ! And I LOVE cleaning !! But that’s a nope
Double bag it - no mess
Hi Remi, love your videos! Thank you so much x
Thank YOU! ❤️
