I was so angry when I heard that people are saying you are a bad mom...you are compassionate, loving and deeply caring towards your children, your family and your partner. You are always thinking about your children's needs and wants and I admire that. Keep up the great work Ms. Remi !

I saw your new video uploaded and saved it for tonight. I've been struggling for years with housework and motivation. It's mad, when I was married with a blended family of 4 kids with 5years between them, the house was so busy and constantly messy and noisy. When my kids were getting ready to go off to university and fly the nest, my husband suddenly died. We'd had so much loss in a short space of time. I lost everyone from my mum, both my parents in law and my 20year old stepson in less than 5years. Then within 8months the rest of the family broke down. Everything was my fault and the kids left home suddenly. I've moved house twice since then. I've lived in this house for nearly 7years. I was always struggling with motivation and never cook anymore. I live on rice krispies and yoghurts at bedtime. I started decorating my living room in May, I was excited making a fresh start for me and my menagerie of pets. Then my already destroyed right knee had other ideas and I ended up chair bound with a meniscus tear on top of the fact it's actually crumbled and bone on bone already. My friends have tried to help me but they're so busy and lots of things need me to sort out. So now I'm literally buried under a mountain of amazon boxes as I can hardly get out the house anymore. I am very depressed and adhd and many many other mental and physical issues to deal with. That lady would that called you a bad mum would say it's excuses obviously. In some ways these are all excuses. I really struggle to get everything blitzed ready for my hubby coming in from a long Police shift and tea in the oven. Now its just me, I don't care!! There's no one to bother for. Even my self care is suffering. I keep going back to bed and I haven't showered or clean clothes for days as I'm just exhausted. My dad's funeral was last Tuesday and since then all I've done is sleep or want to be asleep. The temperature has suddenly dropped so much, I can't afford to have the heating on so although tidying up would warm me up, I just sit under a blanket with my puppy having cuddles. Sorry for rambling on 🙃 I just wanted to say I love your videos and your empathy for others is to be admired not criticised. I know your husband helps loads and works hard too. Although he does have a problem with his hair loss 🤣 the hairiest man alive, you'd think that much hair loss he'd be bald 🤣🤣 I am only joking!!! Your kids are little and deserve to be children. I was running my parents home from 8years old when my nanna died and I stepped into my mum's shoes. Now at 52 and all alone I just can't find a long enough time out of pain to get everything done. Anyway, sorry for filling up your comments section. I love your videos and look forward to them. I also love Mack at mmc too. Take care, keep being you ❤️❤️❤️

Remi, my sweet young mum. I just had my 80th birthday. When my children were little, I spent too much time cleaning and not enough time with my children. When your children are grown, they will not remember the clean house, but they will remember the time you spent with them. Keep on making the videos, ignore the nay-sayers. I like how you said about the things placed in the closet, “That’s a task for another day” and how you didn’t search for the dustpan because if you did, you knew that would be the whole task for the day. That was such an “ah-ha” moment for me because I realized that I’d also go in search of the dustpan and completely lose track of the activity I was doing. I’ve always struggled with time management and I think it’s because I start one thing and go in search of the metaphorical dustpan over and over and over again. A task like cleaning my room can take all day because I start one task and get side tracked and start another and then go back to the original project all over again. The idea that I could do one task and set aside another big task for another day gave me the idea that I don’t have to try to tackle it all at once but purposely save a portion for another time. I know that this sounds ridiculously simple but for some reason that concept finally handed in my brain and sunk in. For example, I could clean my bathroom and do the sink and toilet but save the scrubbing of the bathtub for another day if it’s too time consuming. As someone who tries to do it all, all the time, and as a result struggles to get anything done, this tip was a godsend. Thank you!

    You're so right about the "I have depression too, but I just/I don't .." 🎯
I'm constantly having the same, triggering battle with the "my parents never abused me, so no parents ever abused their children." I'm truly happy for those who didn't have to go through hell or struggle, and I get that it's hard for people to imagine something they never experienced themselves - but it's equally hard for me to imagine having a normal childhood. I imagine it's the same for anyone struggling with anything, it's the only normal we know

Hi Remi, it's great to see another post from you. I understand the challenges of raising two kids, since I have a 13-year-old with raging hormones. I can relate to feeling overwhelmed by clutter, but I found inspiration in a Japanese lady who decluttered houses, and then I got into Swedish death cleaning. I became ruthless in decluttering and only kept essentials. My son also learned to keep things in their place from a young age, so our house is relatively clutter-free. However, watching old videos made me nostalgic for when my son was cuddly and cute, compared to now when he's a moody teenager. You're doing a fantastic job as a mom, Remi, and your family is lucky to have you. Keep coaching others that it's okay not to be perfect, as imperfections can be the best qualities. Thank you❤️🇬🇧🇹🇷

I like to do my work then relax watching others work.😃 I have in-laws that have houses that look unlived in. Perfect, no children or pets or maybe just much neater than me. I stayed home with my children until they entered preschool. I worked 42 years, 30 in a preschool, and retired 2 years ago to care for my granddaughter. My house can get totaled in a day. I find her so fascinating and she goes from one thing to another and if I am engaged in what she is doing I cannot clean as I go. I try to do my cleaning when she goes home and on the weekends. I love your content and how you talk throughout your videos. You bring a compassionate, intelligent, informative voice to the world. I've said it before but now you have more subscribers and at 186,000 subscribers coming to view your content regularly that your content is reaching more than the population of most towns people live in. That's a massive impact especially when considering before the internet people accessed only their town and not necessarily all of the people in it. I like you compassionate explanations and I reckon that even though you don't have to explain yourself to anyone, it can be helpful to people who don't have the words to share about how they feel and why their homes are not how they'd love them to be. You've found your purpose and it is awesome. As for parenting comments I am a parent and have been a primary teacher for over 30 years. Some of your cleanups, like your loungeroom in this video, kids can make that amount of mess in under an hour and kids view mess very differently to adults. Mostly all kids see are their toys and playing a fun. Adults can complain and be negative all they like but complaining never supported anyone towards progress. Kindness works a treat! I definitely am the person with anxiety that can't let things go. I am so exhausted all the time because I clean as I go and pick up after everybody continuously. I can't leave the house with toys on the floor, beds not made, and dishes undone. I literally speed clean everytime I wanna leave the house. Even when I relax I am watching other people clean. I think I developed this after I had my oldest daughter as a way to prove my usefulness. I do believe I had post-partum depression (not diagnosed) and obsessive cleaning was how I managed my feelings of inadequacy. Unfortunately I didn't have the emotional support I needed and felt like I had to prove my value to the household every day. I stopped working so wasn't bringing in any money, I was at home all day with a baby, sleep deprived, and gained alot of weight and constantly made to feel like I was doing everything wrong. The least I could do was keep a clean house and have dinner on the table every day. I know now that I deserved a little more grace and kindness, but it still effects me to this day and I am constantly feeling like I need to be doing something to "earn my keep" so to speak.

I work from home and am Self Employed too. It feels like I am at both my jobs (work and home) 24/7. Best advice is to get out of the house and find your support system for the kids because you can't be everything to everyone all the time.

Remi you are a true inspiration. I love listening to you throughout your videos. You are true to yourself. The negative comments flow off your back. As they should. Your house is your home, and it is obvious that the people in your home come first. That is the definition of family. Your children are allowed to be children and express themselves through play in the comfort of your home. I tell my very houseproud friends that I feel like I am visiting a hotel when nothing is out of place, and I know they come to visit me not my home because my house certainly looks well lived in and my kids have left home. Keep this up. You deserve the rewards for all your efforts. You are a breath of fresh air.

Remi - I appreciate you sharing real videos. Looking at people's homes that aren't real or authentic is like watching a movie - a fantasy that doesn't exist. You are 1000% correct about Autism and messes. My son has autism and my adult daughter has Asperger's and BOTH are the messiest mess makers ever. There's a mess blindness to them. They can sit surrounded by piles and not see it. I'm very proud of what you've accomplished being neuro-diverse - others may not understand but I get it! ❤❤

Much appreciate to show that it's normal and not everyday you can do everything and be on top. When I watch other cleaning videos when clean house is cleaned - it got me more depressed that mine is not the same, even if I love watching them at the same time. Please keep posting your videos because they help a lot of us when struggling !!!! :)

Remi you are such a fantastic mom. You let your children be children. You know that they are more important than the way the house looks every moment of the day. If i had little ones playing and enjoying themselves my house would look just like yours. You don't have to show on social media how you parent your children, that's just opening yourself to comments on what you should or not do. Parenting should be a private matter. It's nobody's business how you run your household.❤

I used to be a really tidy person until I got really sick and I can no longer keep up with it. This has been extremely hard to cope with as my environment has always been important to me for my mental health. Watching your videos, I have learnt to be kinder to myself. I've cried my eyes out over things I can't do anymore but hearing you talk about all this stuff makes me realise there are more important things and things will get done when they get done. I love your videos, because they show normal life with normal results. Not a pigsty before and a Better living magazine afterwards. Your videos encourage to follow and do the same in my messy home. I'm alone so i can't give someone else the fault for my status, and i'll have to tidy up and clean without help. I'm over 60, not too healthy, but i found a way to manage my mess. I have a to do list for each room, and each room has it's special day: Monday bathroom, Tuesday kitchen etc... And each day i do about the half of my list, on good days everything gets a check on my list, it's so satisfying ! The to do list writing i learned from you ! Please keep on motivating us ! You are awesome !
    THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!

Most effortless tipp for those who are interested:
    ● Reduce Toys! Only display a few of them and switch them like weekly or monthly for novely without having to but more of them.
    ● Toy area: Get a rug or playpen and make sure there is ONE area in a corner where mess is allowed. Bins help to organize fast in this corner if you want a little more tidyness.
    Hope I could help ❤

Remi, I'm 61 now and still learning about people. What I absolutely know though is that anyone who takes the time to attempt to take another person down gives far more away about their own state of mind than anything to do with the focus of their spite. Just keep on keeping on pet. You're doing a great job.😊

Remi, all I see is a mother who wants the best for her family and for herself...a mother who wants to put cleaning and tidying in its proper order of priority with your other priorities....a mother who wants to spend time playing with her family and teaching her children how to take care of their things and their space so that they have those habits instilled in them when they go out on their own in the world. That is the epitome of a good mom. Don't let anyone makenyounthink otherwise of yourself. You alone know how hard you actually work to be that kind of mom and wife and homemaker. But it's obvious to many of us just from the glimpses we get.
