There's a "mirror" modifier, you don't need to do all of those steps, plus the modifier will be non-destructive so whatever change you make tonoje side will be reflected on the other

Nice video, interesting way of modelling a car, obviously everyone has his own way. I like how clear the explanation is and I wish I had found a video like yours when I started. I don't know if you work in the industry or what, but something I found very helpful was to find a 3d model of the car I want to create, download it and get orthographic renders of it, because a lot of blueprints can be unreliable. Again nice video, keep up the good work. Also CTRL+M opens up the merge menu.
Thanks for the support man. I actually do Blender only as a hobby, i started almost a year ago. For the blueprint i noticed that is not perfect, but It does well, however Thanks for the help
@@Phantom3DStudios glad I could help, this blueprint is fine, but I've had to use some terrible ones, even tho some of them were paid for. If you want some more advice for blender feel free to ask
@@Phantom3DStudios I downloaded the Virtus GT file. Then I converted it to meshes in Rhino 8 and put it to edit in Blender. It happens that some parts of the car have holes in the mesh. and for this I need to know which tool selects the vertices and the tool that "joins" the meshes.
@Overnight9 Oh okay, you can join 2 sets of edges by selecting them with "Alt+left click", then click the right mouse butto and press "Bridge Edge loops". Hope i've been helpful.
@@Overnight9 It depends on what you need to remove. If what you want to delete Is separated From the Main object, Youncan Just hit "L" and delete the selection.
@PhantomUEStudios i want to remove the lower part of the front and rear headlights from the latest Virtus model to make them thinner. I want to remove the rear window from the sides, and make a bigger air intake at the front. and perhaps, create a belt line that rises from the wheel arch going straight to the rear lights.

It’s better to use bevel ‘weight’ modifier instead of apply it directly to the mesh it’s way easier to edit the meshes further you go, and one more tip try to use zebra mat cap or something more shiny, this help you achieve better surface 👍🏼

Nice approach but I have some advice. One of the worst things you can do in an instructional video is to describe what you’re doing by saying “Press this button” or “Move these points here” or “Select this option on the menu.” Where? What button? Which option? What menu where? Huh? I’m watching a 60” monitor and I can’t always magically figure out where “here” is. You can see your cursor but it’s very difficult to for the viewer to follow it. Slow down, show me where “here” is , name what “this” is and be specific. Besides that, a good effort. Hope this feedback helps.

One question:
But mend the gaps that leave holes when filling with mesh?
If you mean if there are visibile holes in the final mesh, there are only a few and there are easily fixable.
In layout mode, I cannot select parts of the car, as it is a ready-to-download product.
And not made from stratch.

how do I edit the meshes and remove what I want when I get a ready-made 3D product from the internet?
