DUDE! This is incredible! Especially straight out of Unreal. The only reason I could pick in some shots that it was CG vs actual Live footage was the lack of body roll in the cars during cornering or suspension lift during acceleration. But there is only ever so much time you can put into a production and I'm sure these things could easily be added with an infinitely long time line. All in all though it GORGEOUS work and you should be REALLY proud of what you've done here.
Thank you dude for this amazing feedback!! It was just a personal project, and yea definitely a lot of things could be improved if there was budget! It is insane light study and cool re-creation. I am working now of far more epic stuff, but unfortunately I cant make breakdowns of these projects due to NDA restrictions. And those personal projects/recreations is just for RUclips content and showing how to achieve this sort of render. Appreciate your feedback and such comments push to make more content like this
it does still look like cgi not real life.. for the average consumer its probably not noticeable.. but for anyone who knows what to look for its very easy to spot cgi clips.. very impressive work tho and very well done.. the car acceleration and deceleration and also the road being smooth and not having even the smallest of pumps makes it look unnatural.. like in some shots it just feels like the car is weightless and not like a huge mass is accelerating. thats what gives it away these tiny details
I have finished your masterclass for automotive and I must say that I leaned more than expected, definitely recommend for others to take advantage of that course. Thank you for the great content!
Excellent work. I am curious, which glass material are you using on your models for the primary glass on the car? The glass from the Automotive Materials Pack has translucency problems with newer releases of UE 5.2+. Even with High Tangent settings. Most likely a problem with engine changes on the software I think.
it is glass from Automotive Material pack with some tweaks such as transmission color (to give some greenish tint) and some roughness/specular scale adjustment. But yes, it is automotive materials pack

@@nimrod7785 thank you! I have asked him but he is very introverted person. So maybe he will just make screen recording how he did it in Nuke and I will make a voice over of it. I think that might work
It really depends on scene and env. This open environment was about a minute per frame if rendered in 4K, so 3 second sequence is about an hour. Tunnel was about 2 seconds per frame - as it was Lumen. Really depends on various factors
can you go over the console variables that you used in your render, and the other settings you had under your path tracing settings? looks like you had some sort of materials in your path tracing MRQ settings.

actually none, it's just super simple and also you can lock it's window on top of all the time, so nothing covers it and you can create environments based on the reference without switching windows all the time, if you don't have two monitors
Hi! i have a question. For your "CAR ANIMATION IN UNREAL ENGINE | Production Pipeline" video how do you export the physical, skeletalmesh, control rig, and skeleton in one and move it to another level to use when ever you want? i REALLY DO NOT WANT TO REDO THE CODING.
The man of the hour💪🏾 your videos are the best🏆 I just got my computer set up and I’m going to be learning unreal this month. I am a complete newbie. Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems like if I take your course not only can I learn about cars, but I can implement what you teach to make a movie from all the lighting and worldbuilding you do is that correct?
yes correct, BUT my course gives very general understanding of environment creation for example. It MOSTLY focused on what brands and companies expect to be done for car renders. Minimal environments cars are "heroes" etc. Also you should have some understanding of UE as I am not explaining every aspect and where to click. So take your time, get familiar with UE first :)
@@postprocessed I am finishing a work with tanks and military vehicles for a company here in Spain and then I will continue with the one I am doing. I'm sure you know what brand it is, hahahahahahaha.
Well. I will put it this way: You ANYWAY need to learn at least a bit of Blender to work with UE. And blender also can be optimized really well. So I would go for blender first place
But if you need only to drop some props into the scene, set up cameras and lighting - unreal the way to go. So. If you want to be a CG/3D artist, with modelling and etc. But if putting props, cameras, trying light setup - is something you are looking for - Unreal is the way to go and in Lumen you can have realtime if you do so optimization and you will get faster result of already good quality picture. It's a hard question tbh. First you need to understand what is your goal
I am a bad example and don't follow this advice: In the beginning I've spent around 12-14 hours a day constantly working in UE for about 3-4 months before I got to nice results. I liked to explore, dive deep, create custom solutions for lighting and etc. I sometimes forgot to eat and went to sleep at 2-3 am, I was just really excited and passionate about it. I would recommend 3-4 hours a day and dedicate it to some specific part: one week for environments. One week for lighting animation Camera etc. So you get the point) In couple moths you will get very nice results
@postprocessed hi I am running into a problem after completing your automotive course which is very good I tried to render a cinematic in city sample so the problem is car can't stick to the surface there so no automatic suspension do you know how to fix this? help plz
you have 2 big issue : one : is your road is sooo traight wich is impossible ... you should make some displacement on it to make the car and tyres move vertically , you should use blender he has really stunign addion for that and also for character rigging and speed , it use real speed .... it amazing lucnhcontrol i belive it name and others ... and exaust some fire comeout and smoke on tyres and for exaust rear pipe also .... goodluck for next. remake this video in blender and let me know by using cycles and new eevee .
