I do command you that you're one of the very rare RUclipsr who will apply lipsticks without LINER. I do love lipsticks for their own color and every liner no matter how matchy matchy will alter the appearance. The only lipstick bleeding on me so far is Chantecaille's lip chic which I will not repurchase simply because of the strong scent. The color is beautiful though. Thanks for showing us all the new LE. Thanks so much for watching today. I love wearing lipstick without liner because liner always changes the texture. I love feeling what these creamy, comfortable lipsticks are like on the lips. I wear liner when a lipstick formula needs it it keep it in place. Otherwise I skip liner.
Yes! I’m so happy you made this video. I love using you as a reference point because we’re just about skin twins. Maybe the RUclips algorithm hates me, but I don’t see a lot of gals with your / our skin tone and undertone. Almost everyone I follow is white with completely different undertones than me, black or very brown. I still think they make great content so I follow regardless but having someone swatch things and actually getting a good idea of how it’s going to look on me specifically is a game changer. I love following some one who is my skin twin. For me it's Kackie from Kackie Reviews Beauty. I wear the same shade of foundation in nearly everything that she does except in Lisa Eldridge. I think most people would be getting one main component and different refills, so that's probably why the names are on the bottom of refills. I'm still (impatiently)waiting for mine. I ordered Lisa. You're right. I know that once I have to start swapping out shades, I'm less likely to do it. I have so many refills for other brands, and they just sit. Aside from the price, the component appears to be bulkier than my other lipstick so I wasn’t really sure that it would’ve fit in my storage tower

I have Medici so far and just a heads up: depending on your overtone it can totally show up as a pink (I’m fair neutral with yellow over tone). I had to use a grey lip liner to make the original colour show up on me. I’m drawn to cooler mauve and neutral leaning tones and also vampy colours btw. The liner I used was MAC Stone. Love a grey lip too.

I was immediately drawn to Medici too (no wonder as Blush was my favorite color of the entire line up😊). Did you try the new Dior Addict Lipstick in Divine Plum? That one turns almost grey on me and I need to add a bit of Berry to get some live back to the lips. I wonder how this would turn on yours then

As a cool toned lover I’m still going to say these are all pulling warmer more neutral than I hoped! I was so hoping Romy had more grey to it…. still praying for grungey cool shades from Lisa Eldridge 🙏. Great review my favorite is Medici it’s just gorgeous on you!

best comparisons, thank you, finally I can see properly how are the real undertones compared to the shades I already own. I am waiting for the deepest shade to be available but probably only going to be able to afford the refill without the metal component and hope the cap doesn't slip off in a bag and it is fairly secure 🤞

I'm sure there's a way around it, but someone already mentioned that they don't have a tight enough closure to withstand being dropped in a purse. I'm glad you found this video helpful. you can get some fun small stickers or just one letter, say R for Romy, and place it on the round bottom end of the lipstick so you know exactly which is which, its what i have done with mine 🙂
Thank you for this review! I can't wait for more shades, or for existing formulas to be released as refills. I like all the colors and I kinda want Ashes of Roses just to see, but I've bought many lipsticks in the past (including so many LE shades) and found that only the warm brights really suit me. I think Audrey probably would suit me but I'm less inclined to wear pinks.

I didn't know about the discounts on the refills because it didn't show up on the mobile page. The velvet bag also didn't show up as an option either. I was using my phone for the purchase, and I would've ended up with the bag, and the refills instead of 7 full sized lipsticks. Oh well.

I love the ribbing, and its weight too. I actually prefer it against those magnetic ones as they tend to 'fight' each other in my drawer! 😁 Anyway I'm intrigued to see that Rouge Experience Lisa might be similar to Velvet Beauty as I was gutted when I realised it was to be discontinued, so maybe that's a good substitute should I run out of Beauty. Thanks so much for watching today Helen. I love this brand and the beautiful products they create. I feel like Rouge Experience in Lisa is more of a neutral pink while Beauty has a cooler tone to it. Maybe that's just me. I hope you're enjoying Medici and Audrey. They're such lovely shades and formulas. I can't stop reaching for Romy. That the one that really surprised me. I'm so glad that I got them all. I like the magnetic closures on the other lipsticks, but I have mine stored in a lipstick holder. They're far enough apart that they don't have problems fighting each other. It would be another matter if I stored them close to each other in a drawer. : )

YES! The video I was waiting for! 🥳I bought Medici, Ashes of Roses and Audrey. I debated on whether or not I should get Romy, but it looked kinda similar to Baby and I'm still hoping that Merit will ship to Europe in the not too distant future and I didn't want shades that would be dupes of one another. But now looking at your swatches maybe they aren't that similar at all. Oh well, they are permament shades and she will expand the range, so maybe I'll get it then. Also, just like the other comment says, props to you for pronouncing Medici correctly. I have watched every single RUclips video where people where swatching these lipsticks and NOT ONE person has pronounced it correctly, not even Lisa herself! So credit where credit is due 😉

Great review as always! I bought Romy and Lisa. At first I was worried because the colours look so different in Lisa's video than on her website. But thankfully Romy is more the colour on her website than on her, at least on me. It's my new killer nude and even better than Chanel's À Demi-Mot (so far my go to for non warm nudes). Formula wise I still prefer the luxuriously lucents, though. I just love their balmy, transparent texture. But the component and that beautiful pouch, so luxurious. Like a small time travel. I hope she never discontinues this line as it is innovative and a straight classic at the same time.

I'm glad the comparisons helped. The eye look was super easy. Just 2 of Lisa's liquid eyeshadows, liner and mascara. I wanted to focus to be on the lips today. (but I have been using this duo a lot recently)
I always do my best to make sure I'm putting in a review what I'd want to see. I love Lisa's lipsticks so much, I have nearly all of them. It makes it easy for me to compare thing.
I haven't worn them long enough to know if every shade stays put or travels. I only wore Romy yesterday, and I didn't get any bleeding. I'll check back on these in a few weeks after I've had a chance to really put them through their paces. : )
So after nearly a week of wearing them, I've discovered that they don't bleed outside my lip lines! I love that about them. They wear so well, and the pigment stays on my lips for a long time.

They drag me down and age me. I’m so disappointed but the formula is great. Btw, Medici would defenitely be way too dark on me. But it’s also cool tone for sure, the rest def unsuitable for fair skinned cool toned :-/
Your suggestion to label the side of the refill is super smart! Maybe you should communicate it to them? I'm crazy for the concept of this product but the formula looks a touch too emollient for me, and I love satin lipsticks. Idk, imho I can't help but feel that the Revlon Super Lustrous classic bullet is still the best satin out there, a traditional satin formula with body so it grips the lips properly. And fragrance free. They actually brought out a small range of brand new colors about a year ago that is very similar to the Rouge Experience range. I have the one that would correspond to Ashes of Roses, called Whiskey Business.
I really like how these feel on the lips, and the best part is that they don't find all my lip lines and bleed out. They're so comfortable and kind to my mature lips. I haven't tried any of the new shades from the Super Lustrous line, but I'd like to. I'm still trying to find my perfect shade that isn't too pink, or too deep. @@thelipstickgal I got mine! I got mine! And they are PERFECTION! I thought I'd like Medici the most, and I ***DO*** love it, but I think it'll be Ashes of Roses the one that will live in my purse. It's the perfect "wear to the office" shade for me, in that it isn't too nude that I look "unmade" nor too striking that it becomes distracting. The feel on the lips is superb!!! I can use them on my cheeks, too. I think these might (for an everyday choice) dethrone the Velvet formula in my heart.

I really like that the refills have a nice cap so you really can just have one of the case and the others can be stored nicely. I do think having the number etched on the refills would have been nice!!

Yes, I got components for each refill. I have so many other refillable lipsticks where the refills sit in a drawer and only the one in the case gets used. I know that about myself, and I knew that I'd want to use each of these, so I ordered cases for all of them. I might only get refills from this point on because I have 7 cases. That's enough for me to rotate through what I have by season. I tend to do that a lot. Thanks so much for watching today. Medici is very similar to Blush Lightly, so waiting is a good idea.

I finally got my Medici today and I loooove it! Lightly applied it's very close to my lip color, darker but natural. And so comfortable! It actually comforts. I'm going back for more!
I can't speak to the wear time yet. I've only had these for 12 hours. I'll do a full review later. These transfer to cups, straws and utensils. They also transfer when I kiss a family member. I did wear Romy for several hours last night and didn't need to touch up, but give me a few weeks and I'll come back with a full on review. Today's video was just for show and tell with comparisons. I bougt Ribbon and Medici, love how they feel and seeing your review is making me fill up my cart again🤩💞 Can I ask why you bought a full component for all the shades? I bought 1 component and 1 refill. Now I am doubting to buy another full component since I often have multiple lipsticks with me in my purse and let me tell you, the cap the refill comes with, that will not hold up in a purse. It is not on there tight enough sadly...💞
@@dortheasselberghs6581 I know that refills without lipstick cases just sit around in my house. (House of Sillage, Valentino, Charlotte Tilbury ect.) Once a lipstick is in a case, I reach for it. I know I'm not the sort of person who swaps colors out enough, so if I want to use them, I need to full component. At this point with 7 cases, there's a good chance that I'll but refills from here on out and swap colors by the seasons. Thanks for letting me know that the refill lid doesn't stand up to handbag use. That's helpful information. I really enjoy all these colors and I'm so excited to keep using them. I am gonna buy some more full components for the same reason as you 🙈 and also I usually have multiple colors living in my purse. Sometimes I change color in the middle of the day if I want something else... I never bought refillable lipsticks for that reason but I couldn't resist Lisa's 🙈💕
Alrighty so I bought ashes of roses and compared it to muse and they're nearly identical. So far for the color difference,ashes of roses is slighter deeper and with muse on the lips has almost a grey hue to it. And I'm in the foundation 2.5 which is fair with an olive undertone.

don't worry, I'll get back with a full review in a few weeks. So far, Romy and Simone haven't traveled outside my lip lines, and they wear for about 4 hours before they need to be touched up. Ooh, Lisa is such a great shade. I hope that you find another shade that you'll like. I really enjoy all of them, but I'm also collecting nearly every shade in bullet form from the brand. Ribbon is a bit more blue compared to the velvet formula, but it's a lovely and easy to wear red.

Ashes of roses and Simon are beautiful colors. They're more similar than I initially thought, but I'm not mad at it. I could peel the stickers off and place them on the bottom, but . . . I'll figure out my conundrum.
I am excited for this is line and to see what she might do with it I already want at least 2 maybe 3 ( Ashes of Roses, Lisa and maybe Simone )of the first shades at some point, also since I’m not someone who gets really excited about pretty packaging compared to the product itself and since the “ refills “ twist up on their own and come with caps I’m probably just going to get the refills on their own 😀 Audrey reminds me of now discontinued dance card which I love in the summer, ashes of roses is my favorite shade of the range 😀🤩
I really like all the shades. Romy really impressed me. Since you don't need the full component to use the lipstick, getting the refills for $30 will save you a lot of money. It's refills only from now on for me. I now have 7 of the full sized lipstick holders. This packaging is stunning, but so is the product inside. I think you'll really like it.
Lip pigmentation plays a big deal in how things look. I was also wiping off my lips between swatches, so most of these look a little different when I only apply and wear one shade all day. Thanks for watching today.

I finally got a notice, mine have shipped👏👏I got Audrey and Lisa and bought one component with my initials and one refill. Oh i hadn’t even thought about the lipstick name not being on the bottom, that’s a bummer for sure. Are they magnetized like her other lipsticks, I’m not a fan of that either cause I can’t have them standing side by side. I just knew you would be able to pull off all those colors, I can’t wear nudes cause they just wash me out, it has to have a pink in it.💄💄
No magnets. This is just a click closure. I think the solid aluminum refill and the lack of magnets is for recycling purposes. I hope you enjoy Lisa and Audrey. I wish there was a way to tell what shade it was without having to pull the refill out.

I do command you that you're one of the very rare RUclipsr who will apply lipsticks without LINER. I do love lipsticks for their own color and every liner no matter how matchy matchy will alter the appearance. The only lipstick bleeding on me so far is Chantecaille's lip chic which I will not repurchase simply because of the strong scent. The color is beautiful though. Thanks for showing us all the new LE. I was thinking the same... Lip liner can change the color or the texture so it's very difficult to evaluate a shade when everyone uses tons of liner
I apply translucent one around the lips with lipsticks where I don't like the liner texture

Yes! I’m so happy you made this video. I love using you as a reference point because we’re just about skin twins. Maybe the RUclips algorithm hates me, but I don’t see a lot of gals with your / our skin tone and undertone. Almost everyone I follow is white with completely different undertones than me, black or very brown. I still think they make great content so I follow regardless but having someone swatch things and actually getting a good idea of how it’s going to look on me specifically is a game changer.

Aside from the price, the component appears to be bulkier than my other lipstick so I wasn’t really sure that it would’ve fit in my storage tower

I have Medici so far and just a heads up: depending on your overtone it can totally show up as a pink (I’m fair neutral with yellow over tone). I had to use a grey lip liner to make the original colour show up on me. I’m drawn to cooler mauve and neutral leaning tones and also vampy colours btw. The liner I used was MAC Stone. Love a grey lip too.

best comparisons, thank you, finally I can see properly how are the real undertones compared to the shades I already own. I am waiting for the deepest shade to be available but probably only going to be able to afford the refill without the metal component and hope the cap doesn't slip off in a bag and it is fairly secure 🤞
@@magicxspace5406 I've head that the metal caps for the refills aren't handbag safe. I'm sure there's a way around it, but someone already mentioned that they don't have a tight enough closure to withstand being dropped in a purse.

I like all the colors and I kinda want Ashes of Roses just to see, but I've bought many lipsticks in the past (including so many LE shades) and found that only the warm brights really suit me. I think Audrey probably would suit me but I'm less inclined to wear pinks.

I didn't know about the discounts on the refills because it didn't show up on the mobile page. The velvet bag also didn't show up as an option either. I was using my phone for the purchase, and I would've ended up with the bag, and the refills instead of 7 full sized lipsticks. Oh well.

I like the magnetic closures on the other lipsticks, but I have mine stored in a lipstick holder. They're far enough apart that they don't have problems fighting each other. It would be another matter if I stored them close to each other in a drawer. : )

YES! The video I was waiting for! 🥳I bought Medici, Ashes of Roses and Audrey. I debated on whether or not I should get Romy, but it looked kinda similar to Baby and I'm still hoping that Merit will ship to Europe in the not too distant future and I didn't want shades that would be dupes of one another. But now looking at your swatches maybe they aren't that similar at all. Oh well, they are permament shades and she will expand the range, so maybe I'll get it then. Also, just like the other comment says, props to you for pronouncing Medici correctly. I have watched every single RUclips video where people where swatching these lipsticks and NOT ONE person has pronounced it correctly, not even Lisa herself! So credit where credit is due 😉

Great review as always! I bought Romy and Lisa. At first I was worried because the colours look so different in Lisa's video than on her website. But thankfully Romy is more the colour on her website than on her, at least on me. It's my new killer nude and even better than Chanel's À Demi-Mot (so far my go to for non warm nudes). Formula wise I still prefer the luxuriously lucents, though. I just love their balmy, transparent texture. But the component and that beautiful pouch, so luxurious. Like a small time travel. I hope she never discontinues this line as it is innovative and a straight classic at the same time.

I'm glad the comparisons helped. The eye look was super easy. Just 2 of Lisa's liquid eyeshadows, liner and mascara. I wanted to focus to be on the lips today. (but I have been using this duo a lot recently)

I haven't worn them long enough to know if every shade stays put or travels. I only wore Romy yesterday, and I didn't get any bleeding. I'll check back on these in a few weeks after I've had a chance to really put them through their paces. : )

So after nearly a week of wearing them, I've discovered that they don't bleed outside my lip lines! I love that about them. They wear so well, and the pigment stays on my lips for a long time.
@ I got Lisa , Romy, and Simone, and two look so ugly on my skin tone I’m disappointed. Romy is the only one that’s fine. Haven’t tested them much. Wearing Romy today so I’ll see in a couple of hours how that plays out. It was supposed to be a cooler toned collection. I disagree with that . Thx

Teeth look whiter. I’ll have to work something out these other two ones though. They drag me down and age me. I’m so disappointed but the formula is great. Btw, Medici would defenitely be way too dark on me. But it’s also cool tone for sure, the rest def unsuitable for fair skinned cool toned :-/

I'm crazy for the concept of this product but the formula looks a touch too emollient for me, and I love satin lipsticks. Idk, imho I can't help but feel that the Revlon Super Lustrous classic bullet is still the best satin out there, a traditional satin formula with body so it grips the lips properly. And fragrance free. They actually brought out a small range of brand new colors about a year ago that is very similar to the Rouge Experience range. I have the one that would correspond to Ashes of Roses, called Whiskey Business.
I really like how these feel on the lips, and the best part is that they don't find all my lip lines and bleed out. They're so comfortable and kind to my mature lips. I haven't tried any of the new shades from the Super Lustrous line, but I'd like to. I'm still trying to find my perfect shade that isn't too pink, or too deep. @@thelipstickgal I got mine! I got mine! And they are PERFECTION! I thought I'd like Medici the most, and I ***DO*** love it, but I think it'll be Ashes of Roses the one that will live in my purse. It's the perfect "wear to the office" shade for me, in that it isn't too nude that I look "unmade" nor too striking that it becomes distracting. The feel on the lips is superb!!! I can use them on my cheeks, too. I think these might (for an everyday choice) dethrone the Velvet formula in my heart.

I really like that the refills have a nice cap so you really can just have one of the case and the others can be stored nicely.
I do think having the number etched on the refills would have been nice!!
I'm hoping that they start to etch the names on the refills so we don't have to pull out the entire lipstick to find out which shade it it. I hope you like Medici. I haven't tested all of them, but the two I've been wearing since they arrived haven't moved outside my lip line. (Romy and Simone)
This is the best review and comparisons video I have seen so far on these new lipstick launch from LE. I picked up 3 shades ( aches of roses, audrey and medici) I have 1 component and 2 refills. I absolutely love the formula and the concept of this launch. I am little sad that I didn't pick romy.

I’ve been looking forward to this, thank you! All looked beautiful on you! Any chance of a Lisa and Sunday Matinée comparison? I’m thinking of getting one for Christmas. Not quite sure of the shade though. Ashes of Roses seems a lot warmer and more brown than I’d hoped and if Lisa is too close to Sunday Matinée (which I just recently got) I may just get Rose Official instead and wait for next years releases.

The other thought I have is I do not love the component, I kind of like it but it is very vintage. Did you take components for each refill?! Yes, I got components for each refill. I have so many other refillable lipsticks where the refills sit in a drawer and only the one in the case gets used. I know that about myself, and I knew that I'd want to use each of these, so I ordered cases for all of them. I might only get refills from this point on because I have 7 cases. That's enough for me to rotate through what I have by season. I tend to do that a lot. Thanks so much for watching today. Medici is very similar to Blush Lightly, so waiting is a good idea.

I finally got my Medici today and I loooove it! Lightly applied it's very close to my lip color, darker but natural. And so comfortable! It actually comforts. I'm going back for more!

I can't speak to the wear time yet. I've only had these for 12 hours. I'll do a full review later. These transfer to cups, straws and utensils. They also transfer when I kiss a family member. I did wear Romy for several hours last night and didn't need to touch up, but give me a few weeks and I'll come back with a full on review. Today's video was just for show and tell with comparisons. Can I ask why you bought a full component for all the shades? I bought 1 component and 1 refill. Now I am doubting to buy another full component since I often have multiple lipsticks with me in my purse and let me tell you, the cap the refill comes with, that will not hold up in a purse. It is not on there tight enough sadly...💞
@@dortheasselberghs6581 I know that refills without lipstick cases just sit around in my house. (House of Sillage, Valentino, Charlotte Tilbury ect.) Once a lipstick is in a case, I reach for it. I know I'm not the sort of person who swaps colors out enough, so if I want to use them, I need to full component. At this point with 7 cases, there's a good chance that I'll but refills from here on out and swap colors by the seasons.

Alrighty so I bought ashes of roses and compared it to muse and they're nearly identical. So far for the color difference,ashes of roses is slighter deeper and with muse on the lips has almost a grey hue to it. And I'm in the foundation 2.5 which is fair with an olive undertone.
I wear shade 2 in the foundation. I tried 2.5 and it's too green on me. I like Ashes of Roses, but prefer Muse just a bit more. It might be the undertone difference between us. Thanks so much for watching.

don't worry, I'll get back with a full review in a few weeks. So far, Romy and Simone haven't traveled outside my lip lines, and they wear for about 4 hours before they need to be touched up. Ooh, Lisa is such a great shade. I hope that you find another shade that you'll like. I really enjoy all of them, but I'm also collecting nearly every shade in bullet form from the brand. Ribbon is a bit more blue compared to the velvet formula, but it's a lovely and easy to wear red.

I really like all the shades. Romy really impressed me. Since you don't need the full component to use the lipstick, getting the refills for $30 will save you a lot of money. It's refills only from now on for me. I now have 7 of the full sized lipstick holders. This packaging is stunning, but so is the product inside. I think you'll really like it.

I finally got a notice, mine have shipped👏👏I got Audrey and Lisa and bought one component with my initials and one refill. Oh i hadn’t even thought about the lipstick name not being on the bottom, that’s a bummer for sure. Are they magnetized like her other lipsticks, I’m not a fan of that either cause I can’t have them standing side by side. I just knew you would be able to pull off all those colors, I can’t wear nudes cause they just wash me out, it has to have a pink in it.💄💄
No magnets. This is just a click closure. I think the solid aluminum refill and the lack of magnets is for recycling purposes. I hope you enjoy Lisa and Audrey. I wish there was a way to tell what shade it was without having to pull the refill out.
