I forgot to mention that you can use the refills by themselves if you wanted to (in my second time filming this, hence the two outfits 😂) The refills do come with a lid but I’m not sure how well it will stay shut rattling around in a handbag. The twisting mechanism is a little more stiff without the outer component as well. However, the refill is definitely possible to use by itself! I think the Lisa Eldridge brand as a whole should be viewed as her ability as a successful makeup artist to indulge in creating products out of her own hearts desire. Suitable for her needs and what she thinks is missing from the overall market based on her perspectives. And personally I find this quite refreshing. A problem however is that because Lisa Eldridge represents something a bit more genuine and also kind as well as clever, intelligent and above all quite elegant - which differs from a lot of other influencers and above all influencer brands - there will very easily be created almost of a cult following. And people very easily feel compelled to buy pretty much everything she releases. Because they like her so much and want a piece of that. Now that is all good and well but like you show in this video. There are many shades and products that are quite similar. And I don’t think that her idea with her line is not that it is made to be consumed like you need everything she releases. It sort of contradicts what she is and stands for. When it comes to this release I do welcome the concept of the forever lipstick case. My mother had a few of those when I was a child and I loved playing with them and probably they may very well have sparked my interest in makeup too. And I do enjoy that she goes all the way. And makes it super recyclable which is right up her alley since a pet peeve of hers has for the longest time been that recyclable most often means only a small part is… My guess is that if this line becomes successful she will probably then phase out some of her non recyclable lipstick lines. Or phase in some of the shades in similar formulas made for her recyclable device.
You read my mind! I think she is great, the most non-controversial and probably my favorite makeup artist! Like many others, I am drawn to everything she makes, however I realized that not everything she creates is great, and that’s fine. Maybe because of her lovely persona lots of people cannot see or accept that fact. I felt like I was the only one to hate her skin tint on me which separated and enhanced dry patches I didn’t even know I had while everyone else was loving it. Similarly, apart from one or two, none of the lipstick shades look like they do on the website! Lovely shades, can’t complain but I often felt like I got the wrong one and another one would suit me better, then order it and feel the same. I also didn’t feel convinced to try the skin care and mascara/eyeliner as I don’t consider them that special and I have good products that do the job for me. For me, she is legendary for her lipsticks AND her persona. And I am fine with that. Ester Lauder or Tom Ford might have similar lines but I still buy Lisa. Maybe we keep her to such high standards that we have too high expectations from her. But I think it’s maybe time to also be honest and judge her products fairly like any other luxury brand’s.
I totally agree. Very good point of view. Also, with this recycling lipstick line - it's a well know growth strategy, once you have THE case you are most likely to be a returning customer to buy refills again and again hence CCA is really low and runs on a profit (a printer and cartridge type business model of course with a circular economy in mind). As per lipsticks, just got my set of 4 yesterday...I have to say...they are fine, but nothing super extraordinary. It hydrates for a short period of time, but after I have to use my usual lip hydrating balm. And there is a scent... a very subtle, like a wax.. If you don't pay attention to it, there is none. But when you do, you can.
Describing Lisa Eldridge as a 'influencer' and her makeup collection as an 'influencer brand' is.... interesting. You wouldn't call Charlotte Tilbury an 'influencer brand,' would you? They've both worked as Makeup Artists under Mary Greenwell. Or how about Pat McGrath or Francois Nars. Those are all Makeup Artist brands. Just because Lisa (cleverly) chose to make educational videos about a decade ago doesn't make her an 'influencer.' She's also been the creative director of Lancome in the meantime, for goodness sake lol. You can't call someone like Jaclyn Hill an influencer and throw her in the same pot as Lisa Eldridge smh lol.
I think your honesty is refreshing and helps to lower expectations a bit. So often people hear how fabulous all the things are, and when the box comes, there is often a disappointment, not because the products aren't good. They are good. But you hear over and over, wonderful, perfect, and amazing... and in the end, it's just lipstick. I do love this case. I did get one. And it is the one I think I will wear most often. Audrey looks very similar to Wonder Wheel to me, but Wonder Wheel is my favorite. I'm that pale peachy complexion it is made for. I typically wait and buy after I've seen a number of reviews. I want to hear some people say, "This is what I didn't love... or here's why I'm STILL using it." I also really appreciate comparisons. I know it takes time and energy, and I thank you for that.
So far it is the best and most useful video about these lipsticks that I have seen. Thank you very much for it. If you have time maybe you could share a little comparison of blush and blush lightly (velvets) to medici. Thanks ❤
@@AijingalingI would appreciate a short video or post in here for the ones like me who don’t have other social channels. I am tempted to get Medici as Romy didn’t work out for me but only if it does’t look like Velvet Blush (Lightly)’s.❤
Ashes of Roses looks great on you! I really appreciate your videos because the shades look completely different on Asian skin tones than on Lisa 😅I’m gonna wait until she releases more shades and see if there’re shades that are more worth purchasing than Ashes of Roses.
Comparisons is exactly what we are missing in the makeup industry. Every launch, makeup influencers tell us to buy the "NEW BEST THING", because "it's unlike anything we have ever tried". When in fact it's exactly like everything we have tried in the past. There are foundations that are 20yrs old, can you believe that. They are still good. I can't believe how many people get sucked into buying so many similar things in shiny new packaging. We really appreciate people like you.
You honestly have perfect lips for this type of comparison video, thank you for the review! Personally, I loved this launch - not only is Lisa reviving a lost sustainable practice but she is also creating a keep-sake item meant to be treasured. I also really appreciate the fact that the refills are functioning lipsticks on their own, which is not usually the case with other brands. My guess is that she will slowly transition all of her lipstick formulas to this format overtime
I'm especially loving that the classy beautiful shape of the lipstick case lends itself really well to getting painted but still being recognizeable (metal paint is good for permanent changes but I'll probably stick to paint I can change seasonally). I love modding the packaging of my makeup, put my own twist on them, even transferring them into other packaging (for instance make my own palette mix). Her lipstick case is such an utter delight.
I think I am going to order. Was hesitant on the colors and how they would look on me but since you have reviewed it, it gives me confidence to purchase.
I love how much thought you’ve put into this analysis, and how sincere you are in your review. Without hostility but paying respect to Lisa. 🙏❤ She really is admirable as an entrepreneur and a woman. ❤
07:44 Lisa did say in her launch video that people had asked her to do more cool tones so she obliged, which is why there's so many now compared to before.
Only Lisa Eldridge review I was compelled to watch after seeing the release. I have mixed feelings on this one, but I am always confident that you will give your honest and well tested thoughts on her products.
I’m struggling with the shades too. I’m medium olive quite warm and barely any colour is too my liking. I’ve got painterly which turns pink and meet me in Berlin actually have a pink hue on me too. As everything always turns pink on me I somehow don’t feel like pink suits me. I wish Lisa would show the shades on olive skin too so it’s easier to buy online😊
How interesting. Are your lips super pigmented? Not sure if there are any other creators who swatches these colours that are more similar to you in skin tone?
@@Aijingaling they have some brown and pink pigment but I think it’s in contrast to my skin tone it really changes. I do follow some with my skin depth but they’re are less olive and seem to like pink😂💓
I ordered Ashes of Roses, Medici, and Ribbon. I LOVE the formula and I am so happy with the three shades I selected. They are perfect! Thank you for your LE reviews. They are the BOMB!
Dear Aijing, I appreciate your effort and I knew you wouldn't disappoint with your review. This is amazing and so helpful!!! First thought: Aijings poor bank account 😱. It's really a lot of money you've spent for this community. Thanks!!!!!!!! Love Sabine 😘
Thank you for this thorough review ! I've got a paler skin but also with yellow/olive undertones, and I stopped myself at just the Lisa. It's not quite the right shade for me, but it still works. I decided to wait to be in the UK to try more of her colours, because I know quite few don't actually work out on me, they end up looking more grey or brown than on any of the models. But I'm really happy Lisa came up with a fully recyclable lipstick, I'm curious as to what other shades she'll release. I hope some will be more vibrant.
Thanks for doing this video. Had a flashback to trying Tarte early in my makeup experience. Similar colors. Both had me thinking, well, underwhelmed, looks "professional" but that's it. Now I know when that happens, those aren't my colors.
You look beautiful in this video, and if you don’t mind me saying so, all of these are very flattering on you but Lisa was just “wow” to my eye! You made THE most useful video about these that I’ve seen so far, so much so that you’ve shown me that I will love all of them, even Audrey which I was scared of because I have a bit of a hard time with Je Ne Sais Quoi which looks like a piece of candy on me. I do have slightly lighter and cooler skin than Lisa herself, and I feel these first releases were aimed at those of us who as you say, always want cool colors! Thanks so much for your thoroughness!
I thought Audrey looked amazing on you! I have the pale skin you described but I feel like it would just look too vintage and wash me out a bit. Mayb if I didn’t have dark hair. I don’t think that shade has a wide audience really but I’m happy for the people that were really asking for it
Thank you for this! Your video has been the most helpful so far . Also finding someone on RUclips with a similar complexion is so hard 😅. I thoroughly enjoyed your comparisons. I might wait for the next round of colours because nothing in this collection really made me jump out of my seat. ❤
I love the side by side comparisons. As well as your descriptions. It helps me understand what would likely be flattering on me, taking out a good amount of the guess work.
I am fair skinned and am extremely excited about this launch! Because I am more cool toned and some of the colors will suit my current needs. Especially since they are a satin. I enjoyed your review and personally believe that Audrey looks GORGEOUS on you!!!!!
I love this video! I’ve been burnt a few times with her shades not looking as good as me as her other models. So usually I just get the warm neutral tones which usually work well on me. So I got ashes of roses and Lisa, hopefully they turn out well
You are the best!!! Thank you so much for the time, money and effort you put in these videos! They are so helpful for us who don't live in the UK and can't see the products before buying. I've seen so many comments on Lisa's IG requesting comparison swatches and her promising she would post them... but I guess influencer train rides and magicians are more important /s. While I do appreciate Lisa's eco-friendly efforts, I am not too impressed with the design of the case, nor am I particularly drawn to any of these shades, so I will skip this launch.
I am so happy that Lisa Eldridge launched cool toned colors. So I ordered for the first time : Romy, Medici and the Velvet Muze. I hope they arrive soon :-).
@@chinchillin6280 I just got my package. Muse is amazing, very similar to Medici. Medici, seems more hydrating then Muse on first impression. Romy is a bit light, but seems to be the perfect blonzing shade for me. Soooo happy.
Thank you for the comparisons! Very useful. 🌸 Usually for me her lip product worth every penny 😊 there's no shade that looks bad on me, I think because she works so accurately with undertones. If I wear Ribbon, Decade, Skyscraper rose, a lot of people stare at me (at my lips 😅). And I feel the same as you said about Baume embrace, it's not special like her velvets but I reach for it more often than what I expected. Not every day you want people stare at you. 😂 I've not purchased the rouges yet, I love Lisa's work but at the moment I'm not 100% sure and I've tons of her lipsticks to finish before!
Thank you so much for the comparison!!❤ I love kitten mischief, but still gonna get Lisa anyway 😂 Finally, a review that doesn't say this lip product is "revolutionary" or insert any hype-train-jargon here. I love the packaging idea and am grateful they come out with it, but I think the fanfare around this lipstick is excessive. This is from someone who love Lisa Eldrige and have a whole bunch of her lip products, and still is buying this product.
I just found you. Love the way you review. I’m a lipstick addict. I haven’t had much luck finding shades of lipstick that really wow me in Lisa’s brand except Meet Me In Berlin. But, I did buy Simone. Unfortunately, as much as I respect Lisa for her talent I can;t say I love her brand. 😢 Thanks for a wonderful video. And, I did subscribe.
Thank you for the video! I'm warm olive myself (light Scandinavian edition) and it was great to hear from someone with similar skin. I'm looking for a warm lipstick that is kind of nude (but a bit more color) and was hoping Simone could be it, but you described that one as cool as well, so I guess I will wait for more colors 🙈
Marvellous, excellent comparisons showing differences. Truly, thanks so much for your exceptional colour eye and uncommon attention to detail. My colouring couldn't be further from yours, but here I found which of the new shades would suit my pink/neutral complexion, blonde/blue eyed colouring in my early 70's. Brilliant! I wear "Lisa's Love of My Life" and "Wonder Wheel", but will not be reordering "Je Ne Sai Qais", a good mid-depth but for me too brown. I can't wear matt or velvet at my age. Lisa favours the browns, peach cast, warm shades. Rare the inclusion cools, so Medici I'll get. I suspect Romy may be too flat/pale on me.
Thank you for the comparisons on your lips! You helped not regret not buying the Lisa shade. I’m actually really excited for this launch because my lips are ridiculously dry and I have a neutral to cool skin tone. However, I agree that this launch isn’t going to suit everyone. I also heard that Lisa is going to do different formulas within the refill system, so there will something for everyone eventually.
Appreciate the comparisons and critical lens! I don’t know if the brands like you, but we do. Thank you ☺️ And talking about lenses, noticed the eye model on your desk! Are you an ophthalmology trainee? 🤗
Thank you for the detailed comparison! A lot of reviewers are not the target demographic for refillable aspect since they are overloaded with options and will likely never run out of a lipstick to need a refill. This is however a great concept for someone who has a signature lip shade and repeatedly purchase same color. I think you touched on this in a very gentle manner and I applaud your honesty!
Thanks for taking the time to show these shades side by side and on your lips, this is the best way for us with a large collection to see if we really need the latest release ! In this case I was shook by the old fashioned component and disappointed not to see the interesting shades we usually get with Lisa’s lipsticks. Both these shades and the ones for the previous balm release look basic to me. I really hope we can keep buying the velvets and lucents which are real good ❤
Thank you for deep dive ❤....I love this concept and packaging is stunning...the idea to have "siganture" lipstick case that people always see me with is exiciting ( no matter the shade)...so I ❤ this release. I ordered thr case & Simone for more neutral brown shade and then I am waiting for next release of shades/ textires as Lisa said....till then I will have Simone & use up my exciting collection
Thank you so much for your description, it's the most complète i've seen. The comparaison with other lipsticks is very enlightening. Sorry for my way of expression, i'm french 😅 I love your vidéos. ❤😘😘
Great review! I agree with your assessment re lucent vs the rouge experience formula. Also recognised your book 😆 nice to meet a fellow beauty lover & 👀👩🏻⚕
I really appreciate your video. I've actually been waiting for Lisa to release cooler tones, so I think I'll get one of these. I was thinking of getting one of these for my sister in law, but your video helped me realise that these may not suit her since her skin tone is closer to yours than to mine.
Thanks for the video, especially the comparisons to earlier formulas, I saw that several shades I was interested in buying would be redundant, so you saved me a lot of money
This is an amazing video! So useful! I have bought Audrey and Lisa, since my favourite shade is dance card, I really hope they will work on my light warm olive skin
Thank you for this balanced and really in depth review. It’s the best review I’ve seen as it’s completely impartial compared to the other ‘influencers’. I have a lot of LE lipsticks (and the rest!) but restrained myself from this new collection as I tend to go for her neutrals and I have enough already. I’m going to wait to see the colours she releases next. I have also subscribed now 😊
Thanks for comparing Spirited Away and Ashes for Roses. Spirited is one of fave shades but I love the refillable element of these. I couldn't decide between Lisa and Ashes but this video really helped.
These were super helpful, I hope you get PR someday!! I have a similar skintone to you but with cool undertones. My fear is that Medici and definitely Romy are going to look ashy on me, but I really want to get one of these lipsticks so i hope she released more shades! I've wanted a vintage-looking refillable lipstick for no joke, about 12 years.
I appreciate the insane amount of detail in your reviews! If anything I feel that Lisa Eldrige would gain from listening to them. Also I hope this doesn't sound weird but you have a very pleasant voice, fully got unintentional ASMR from it lmao
Thank you so much for this review and comparison video. I’m 100% new to Lisa’s products. I wanted some lipsticks from the Rouge Experience line, but also wanted to pick up some from the Velvets and the Lucents. This really helped me not to get similar shades. ❤
Oh, I'm so happy, You made a video so soon. I didn't buy anything this time, bc I was waiting for some comparisons. Although many peope say LE lipsticks are too warm, for me they are too cool. I love Velvet Affair and meet me in Berlin, but Muse and Kitten mischief are cooler and more pink, then I hoped. Based on the web site, I was hoping, Simone would be warmer and I was considering it. But now I see, it would be pinkish too. Thanks! ❤
I have been waiting for your video on Lisa’s new release!! I always watch your videos whenever I am tempted and deciding to purchase a product from her. Thank you so much!! ❤️
Thank you for the comparisons! Could you please post more comparisons with Romy, Simone, and Velvet Fawn? I’m curious to try the new shades but Fawn washes my light olive skin out terribly, so I’m hesitant to try them
I only bought Ashes of Roses and Lisa because I knew a lot of the other shades would be too cool for my skin, and Ribbon is already perfect in the velvet formula. Great video!
@ I get it! I think we are more critical with ourselves and what we put on than an outsider would be. And Audrey seems hard to pull off. I’d look like a gaudy corpse. 🥲 anyway, I enjoyed the video and subscribed!
I appreciate such an in-depth and straightforward breakdown of these lipsticks! I especially like the shade comparisons as it's very helpful! I was stoked to hear about this launch when it was first announced based on the concept, but I was a lil disappointed at the shade range since it's quite similar to her previous shades. The only shade I'm interested in is Bohemian Cherry, so I'll stay put until it's released. It'd be amazing if Lisa gradually shifts more of her current velvets and lucents to the refillable option as it'll be more sustainable too ✨
Thank you so much for your amazingly helpful, in-depth video w/ all the comparison lip swatches! So very helpful and you've definitely helped me have a much more realistic view of this launch -- my wallet is thankful. SO appreciate how thoughtful and honest your review is. Thanks for all your hard work and just subscribed :)!
Thank you for your truly honest review! Of Lisa's lip formulas, I have about 10 of the Velvet, 2 Embrace, 3 Lucent, and 2 Rouge Experience...and this is by far my favorite, followed by the Velvet. I chose Medici and Ashes of Roses, and just today ordered a refill of both, plus Romy, so I can keep them at my remote work location.
Literally about to order my first order and was doing a deep dive wanting to compare Lisa to other existing colors. Could you compare Muse to Lisa? I have a similar complexion to you (maybe slightly more cooler/neutral) and this is so helpful! I've been eyeing Muse, Painterly, Ashes of Roses and Lisa for a Wedding Day makeup. Now your review has me wondering if Medici is the better choice haha 😩
Muse is more of a rose wood. Quite different to Lisa really, Lisa doesn’t have much brown in it. I think they are both worth it. Medici is a grey purple if you like that x
Thank you so much for this video! Super helpful. The new formula looks fantastic, and it's so great that Lisa is making such efforts towards sustainable components. The 2 shades that I felt would work on me (Lisa and Audrey) look so close to shades I already own and LOVE (Petal - Sunday Matinée/Dance Card - Je Ne Sais quoi ) so I definitely don't "need" the splurge. Thank you! FWIW, I thought you looked wonderful in every shade.
Never watched you before, not sure if you’ll see this comment after a month, but thank you so so much for this video!! Lisa’s colors always confuse me, too!! I have so many of her velvet lipsticks (most of them, actually), and while I love the formula, the colors are never what I had expected when I initially ordered them. Most are so much duskier/darker than they look online, and the new lipsticks are almost twice as expensive, so I’ve been so wary of ordering any. Anyway, love love this video and the casualness of it, and I’m a new subscriber now 😊.
I love that she included so many cool tones! I got Medici and it’s bold but for me it works as a perfect natural bitten berry look. This formula is good if you do no makeup makeup cause you can just blot a little bit on and wear some on your cheeks then add a gloss or lip balm if you want! Since it’s a refillable lipstick I’m sure she will probably focus on making a lot more colors and formulas which makes sense since it’s supposed to be very personal and customizable. Also it’s actually funny cause I’ve felt a lot of her other launches were always too warm like empanoui is my favorite at the moment but it grew on me! I felt it was too warm and that those shades were all too warm and in general brands tend to launch warmer shades so this is definitely very different. Also I wanted to add that I think cool tones suit you very well!!! But to be fair I know that the camera makes them look a bit warmer that’s what happened when I tried taking a picture of Medici!!
Yes the camera appearance and real life appearance are so different 😭 I tired to edit it less cool in post but it’s just not as good as real life! Thank you for the lovely comment and for watching the video ❤️
Tysm!!! I have yellow undertones too so seeing these shades on you is very helpful. And your explanations actually made sense to me! Idk why but I couldn’t really understand from her original video or the model photos? Even though I’m pale I don’t have light features so the light shades are probably too light for my preferences too. And it seems the others won’t suit my undertone. But you’ve reminded me to try something more like the balm embrace formula instead!
Great comparisons! I’m really glad she released more cool tones, especially after discontinuing several cool tones from the Velvet line. I got Medici as I either felt I own similar shades or they lean too warm. Also, white pigment bases does not agree with me at all. My package is on the way now and I’m looking forward to trying it!

She's also been the creative director of Lancome in the meantime, for goodness sake lol.
It is just lipstick, couldn’t agree more
My first thought was that many of them looked exactly the same. Thanks for the honesty.
Thanks for watching!
They dont look the same. Everybody's lipcolour is different, so shades look different.
So far it is the best and most useful video about these lipsticks that I have seen. Thank you very much for it. If you have time maybe you could share a little comparison of blush and blush lightly (velvets) to medici. Thanks ❤
Will put it in my community and insta xx
I’d love to see Muse swatched next to Medici too!
And please compare🙏🙏🙏😘 Velvet Rain to Lisa@@Aijingaling
@@AijingalingI would appreciate a short video or post in here for the ones like me who don’t have other social channels. I am tempted to get Medici as Romy didn’t work out for me but only if it does’t look like Velvet Blush (Lightly)’s.❤
@@Laura-tb7nmcheck my insta or community page xx
Thank you so much for all the comparisons and swatches. And for being honest with your review. Very useful!
Ashes of Roses looks great on you! I really appreciate your videos because the shades look completely different on Asian skin tones than on Lisa 😅I’m gonna wait until she releases more shades and see if there’re shades that are more worth purchasing than Ashes of Roses.
Glad you like my videos!
Here I am, watching this whole video even after buying the lipsticks already ❤
I appreciate you 😘
What do you think of them?
@@carrielassiter8455haven't shipped to me yet but will update !
Same 😂 But it’s super helpful because I can see how other shades and formulas compare ❤
me too
Comparisons is exactly what we are missing in the makeup industry.
Yes so true, I completely agree
You honestly have perfect lips for this type of comparison video, thank you for the review! Personally, I loved this launch - not only is Lisa reviving a lost sustainable practice but she is also creating a keep-sake item meant to be treasured. I also really appreciate the fact that the refills are functioning lipsticks on their own, which is not usually the case with other brands. My guess is that she will slowly transition all of her lipstick formulas to this format overtime
I totally agree!
I really want her to transition to this- I would love a refill with velvet Jazz.
@@chemkink YES, would love for all the other formulas (velvets, lucents, saturateds) to be made available in refill format!
I think I am going to order. Was hesitant on the colors and how they would look on me but since you have reviewed it, it gives me confidence to purchase.
Hope you will enjoy them ❤️
I think you look absolutely beautiful in every shade!
Oh thank you!
This entire video was beyond helpful, especially with the comparisons to the Audrey shade for me using Dance Card. Thank you for all your work! :)
Glad it was helpful!
Very useful. Thank you for all the colour comparisons and detailing the formula. Much appreciated.
My pleasure! 😇
I love how much thought you’ve put into this analysis, and how sincere you are in your review. Without hostility but paying respect to Lisa. 🙏❤ She really is admirable as an entrepreneur and a woman. ❤
She is, so classy and intelligent. Love Lisa ❤️
07:44 Lisa did say in her launch video that people had asked her to do more cool tones so she obliged, which is why there's so many now compared to before.
Yes which is why I specifically mentioned it in my video too 🤗
Your color comparisons on Lisa’s lip products is amazing. The half and half with all similar colors just helps so much. Thank you!
I'm so glad!
Only Lisa Eldridge review I was compelled to watch after seeing the release. I have mixed feelings on this one, but I am always confident that you will give your honest and well tested thoughts on her products.
Always 🥰
On screen every single shade looks amazing on you ❤
Thanks ☺️
I’m struggling with the shades too. I’m medium olive quite warm and barely any colour is too my liking. I’ve got painterly which turns pink and meet me in Berlin actually have a pink hue on me too. As everything always turns pink on me I somehow don’t feel like pink suits me. I wish Lisa would show the shades on olive skin too so it’s easier to buy online😊
If I may you should try her more orange tones.
How interesting. Are your lips super pigmented? Not sure if there are any other creators who swatches these colours that are more similar to you in skin tone?
@@Sinmya yes maybe it would be better😊
@@Aijingaling they have some brown and pink pigment but I think it’s in contrast to my skin tone it really changes. I do follow some with my skin depth but they’re are less olive and seem to like pink😂💓
Hmmmmmmm I’m not a MUA so I don’t have knowledge on what colours will work for you unfortunately, would have loved to help you out otherwise ❤️
Your hair looks so nice! Ty for doing this and all the lip swatches!!
Thank you for watching ❤️
I ordered Ashes of Roses, Medici, and Ribbon. I LOVE the formula and I am so happy with the three shades I selected. They are perfect! Thank you for your LE reviews. They are the BOMB!
Yay! I’m so glad you love your purchase ❤️
The side by side lip comparisons was so helpful! Thanks for including other formulas too.
Glad it was helpful!
love that good ol’ honest makeup reviews are coming back!
Always!
This is the most helpful video I've seen. Thank you!
So glad ❤️
Dear Aijing, I appreciate your effort and I knew you wouldn't disappoint with your review. This is amazing and so helpful!!!
First thought: Aijings poor bank account 😱. It's really a lot of money you've spent for this community. Thanks!!!!!!!!
Love Sabine 😘
Thanks for watching Sabine 🥰
Thank you for this thorough review ! I've got a paler skin but also with yellow/olive undertones, and I stopped myself at just the Lisa. It's not quite the right shade for me, but it still works. I decided to wait to be in the UK to try more of her colours, because I know quite few don't actually work out on me, they end up looking more grey or brown than on any of the models. But I'm really happy Lisa came up with a fully recyclable lipstick, I'm curious as to what other shades she'll release. I hope some will be more vibrant.
Yes in person swatches can’t be beaten!
What a wonderful resource! Thanks for all the hard work you did on this!
My pleasure! 😍
Thanks for doing this video. Had a flashback to trying Tarte early in my makeup experience. Similar colors. Both had me thinking, well, underwhelmed, looks "professional" but that's it. Now I know when that happens, those aren't my colors.
Thanks!
Thank you so much Ryden for this 🥹 and for always watching and commenting ❤️
Thank you so much for the kind comment 🥹 hope you love them 🌹❤️
I thought Audrey looked amazing on you! I have the pale skin you described but I feel like it would just look too vintage and wash me out a bit. Mayb if I didn’t have dark hair. I don’t think that shade has a wide audience really but I’m happy for the people that were really asking for it
It is a true vintage shade for sure
I'm thrilled about these cool tones. Medici is speaking to me in particular but after watching your video, I also really like Simone.
Both are lovely and cool 👌🏻
I would have saved a little money if I’d watched your video yesterday. I would have bought two fewer LE lipsticks. Your comparisons were awesome!
Hope you enjoy your purchase nonetheless ❤️
Thank you for this! Your video has been the most helpful so far . Also finding someone on RUclips with a similar complexion is so hard 😅. I thoroughly enjoyed your comparisons. I might wait for the next round of colours because nothing in this collection really made me jump out of my seat. ❤
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you! you were so thorough, refreshingly honest, and genuine.
You are so welcome! 🤗
I love the side by side comparisons. As well as your descriptions. It helps me understand what would likely be flattering on me, taking out a good amount of the guess work.
It’s always so hard to know online!
I am fair skinned and am extremely excited about this launch! Because I am more cool toned and some of the colors will suit my current needs. Especially since they are a satin. I enjoyed your review and personally believe that Audrey looks GORGEOUS on you!!!!!
Yay! I hope you will love the new colours if you end up buying them ❤
@Aijingaling Before I saw your review, I purchased lisa for me and ashes to roses for my mom❤️❤️❤️ super excited!
I love your honesty about the products. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Amazing, crazy detailed comparison. Thanks a lot
Thank you so much!
I love this video! I’ve been burnt a few times with her shades not looking as good as me as her other models. So usually I just get the warm neutral tones which usually work well on me. So I got ashes of roses and Lisa, hopefully they turn out well
Now I want to get the balm embrace 😂
Hahahaha I think you will like Lisa and ashes of roses 🌹
You are the best!!! Thank you so much for the time, money and effort you put in these videos! They are so helpful for us who don't live in the UK and can't see the products before buying. I've seen so many comments on Lisa's IG requesting comparison swatches and her promising she would post them... but I guess influencer train rides and magicians are more important /s. While I do appreciate Lisa's eco-friendly efforts, I am not too impressed with the design of the case, nor am I particularly drawn to any of these shades, so I will skip this launch.
Thank you for the kind comment 🥰
Hi Aijing! Always so appreciative of the excellent, detailed reviews you create - SO GOOD! 🙏🏻
Thanks a ton! 🥰
They all look great on you, and Ash of Rose really stands out. Great review-very helpful. Love your voice, BTW
Thank you so much!
What a delicious long comparison video! A bit of paradise for a lipstick lover like me.
Oh thank you! 🤩😍
I am so happy that Lisa Eldridge launched cool toned colors. So I ordered for the first time : Romy, Medici and the Velvet Muze. I hope they arrive soon :-).
Great choices 😍
Muse is special, you’re gonna love it!
@@chinchillin6280 Thank you 🙂 I really hope so.
@@chinchillin6280 I just got my package. Muse is amazing, very similar to Medici. Medici, seems more hydrating then Muse on first impression. Romy is a bit light, but seems to be the perfect blonzing shade for me. Soooo happy.
Ahh youtube suggested your video to me and I'm so happy bc I loved your previous Lisa Eldridge videos ❤
Thank you for the comparisons! Very useful. 🌸
Usually for me her lip product worth every penny 😊 there's no shade that looks bad on me, I think because she works so accurately with undertones. If I wear Ribbon, Decade, Skyscraper rose, a lot of people stare at me (at my lips 😅). And I feel the same as you said about Baume embrace, it's not special like her velvets but I reach for it more often than what I expected. Not every day you want people stare at you. 😂
I've not purchased the rouges yet, I love Lisa's work but at the moment I'm not 100% sure and I've tons of her lipsticks to finish before!
No need to spend now, the products will still be there in 12 months 🥳😇
You do look beautiful in the Ribbon satin. Both look really good on you..
Thank you Deborah :)
Thank you so much for the comparison!!❤
I love kitten mischief, but still gonna get Lisa anyway 😂
Finally, a review that doesn't say this lip product is "revolutionary" or insert any hype-train-jargon here.
I love the packaging idea and am grateful they come out with it, but I think the fanfare around this lipstick is excessive.
This is from someone who love Lisa Eldrige and have a whole bunch of her lip products, and still is buying this product.
Yes we can all be rational and sensible 😇 no need to overhype
I just found you. Love the way you review. I’m a lipstick addict. I haven’t had much luck finding shades of lipstick that really wow me in Lisa’s brand except Meet Me In Berlin. But, I did buy Simone. Unfortunately, as much as I respect Lisa for her talent I can;t say I love her brand. 😢 Thanks for a wonderful video. And, I did subscribe.
Oh that’s surprising, I do love most of her products to be honest 😍
Thank you for the video! I'm warm olive myself (light Scandinavian edition) and it was great to hear from someone with similar skin. I'm looking for a warm lipstick that is kind of nude (but a bit more color) and was hoping Simone could be it, but you described that one as cool as well, so I guess I will wait for more colors 🙈
Hahaha Scandinavian edition 🤣❤️ yup Simone definitely a cool brown
Thank you Anita! Medici is a bit darker than it appears in the video I feel like 😅 but it sounds Medici will suit you very well 😍
@@Aijingaling Oh good to know, I trust your eye and maybe not so ideal. Can't tell unless I try, ah refill to try!
Thank you for great review and all the swatches❤ I could't decide, but it made it a lot easier and now I think I can safely order Ashes of Roses 😅
I'm so glad!
Awesome video, thank you! The comparisons are really helpful.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yes, I think she’s made a great move with this refillable packaging
Great review, honest and balanced. You earned a new suscriber ✌️
Much appreciated! 🤗
I’m thrilled with the cooler tones because most lipsticks look orangey on me. Waiting for Lisa and Ashes of Roses.
Hope they work for you 😊
Appreciate the comparisons and critical lens! I don’t know if the brands like you, but we do. Thank you ☺️
And talking about lenses, noticed the eye model on your desk! Are you an ophthalmology trainee? 🤗
Yes I am! I bought the model to make eye videos 🤣
@@Aijingaling we’ll see you opening the sister channel where you store your surgery videos/ lectures in the future? 😉 (I’m also an ophthalmologist :)
in the U.K.? 😮 it’s called dr Aijing I think. I’ve posted two videos so far, many months ago🤣
This was a very comprehensive review! I really enjoyed it, thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
Yes exactly! Thank you so much for watching and leaving such a kind comment 🥹
"Ribbon" on you is just perfect😍😍😍
Thanks!
I really hope we can keep buying the velvets and lucents which are real good ❤
Glad it was helpful!
🥳🥳🥳
Thank you so much for your description, it's the most complète i've seen. The comparaison with other lipsticks is very enlightening.
Sorry for my way of expression, i'm french 😅
I love your vidéos. ❤😘😘
Merci beaucoup 😍❤️
Great review! I agree with your assessment re lucent vs the rouge experience formula. Also recognised your book 😆 nice to meet a fellow beauty lover & 👀👩🏻⚕
@theartbeaute the opened book on my desk? It’s a MCQ bank book for FRCOphthal part 2 exams 😆 are you an ophthalmologist too?
I really appreciate your video. I've actually been waiting for Lisa to release cooler tones, so I think I'll get one of these. I was thinking of getting one of these for my sister in law, but your video helped me realise that these may not suit her since her skin tone is closer to yours than to mine.
So glad it helped 🥰
Thanks!! This has been the most helpful video showing these lipsticks!
I’m so glad 😘
Thanks for the video, especially the comparisons to earlier formulas, I saw that several shades I was interested in buying would be redundant, so you saved me a lot of money
Yay I’m so glad!
This is an amazing video! So useful! I have bought Audrey and Lisa, since my favourite shade is dance card, I really hope they will work on my light warm olive skin
If you love dance card you will love those two x
Thank you for this balanced and really in depth review. It’s the best review I’ve seen as it’s completely impartial compared to the other ‘influencers’. I have a lot of LE lipsticks (and the rest!) but restrained myself from this new collection as I tend to go for her neutrals and I have enough already. I’m going to wait to see the colours she releases next. I have also subscribed now 😊
Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for comparing Spirited Away and Ashes for Roses. Spirited is one of fave shades but I love the refillable element of these. I couldn't decide between Lisa and Ashes but this video really helped.
So glad 🥰
These were super helpful, I hope you get PR someday!! I have a similar skintone to you but with cool undertones. My fear is that Medici and definitely Romy are going to look ashy on me, but I really want to get one of these lipsticks so i hope she released more shades! I've wanted a vintage-looking refillable lipstick for no joke, about 12 years.
It is beautiful 😻
I appreciate the insane amount of detail in your reviews! If anything I feel that Lisa Eldrige would gain from listening to them.
Also I hope this doesn't sound weird but you have a very pleasant voice, fully got unintentional ASMR from it lmao
No not weird at all. Lots of people commented on my voice for this video but I never thought that to be the case! Thank you for watching 🥰
I was specifically looking for Romy and Medici swatches, so this was perfect.
🙌 🥳
Great and thorough comparison.Thank you.Very helpful.🙂
Great comparisons, thank you, very helpful!
Thank you so much for this review and comparison video. I’m 100% new to Lisa’s products. I wanted some lipsticks from the Rouge Experience line, but also wanted to pick up some from the Velvets and the Lucents. This really helped me not to get similar shades. ❤
I have more videos on my channel comparison her line 😘
@@Aijingaling oh, I have watched them all!!!! 😍
Thanks! ❤
Glad it helped and saved you money x
I have been waiting for your video on Lisa’s new release!! I always watch your videos whenever I am tempted and deciding to purchase a product from her. Thank you so much!! ❤️
Hope you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the comparisons! Could you please post more comparisons with Romy, Simone, and Velvet Fawn? I’m curious to try the new shades but Fawn washes my light olive skin out terribly, so I’m hesitant to try them
If fawn washes you out, I doubt you will like Romy or Simone! Xx
I only bought Ashes of Roses and Lisa because I knew a lot of the other shades would be too cool for my skin, and Ribbon is already perfect in the velvet formula. Great video!
Yeah totally agree with regards to ribbon ❤️ thank you for watching 😍
I’m jealous that every lipstick you put on looks so good on you 🥹
🙈 I honestly feel some shades didn’t suit me very well, like Audrey! Thank you for watching and commenting ❤️❤️
It'd be amazing if Lisa gradually shifts more of her current velvets and lucents to the refillable option as it'll be more sustainable too ✨
Totally agree
Yup. I agree that for those of us with yellow or olive undertones I find the colors often just OK on my skin.
Looking forward to new shades
Thank you so much for your amazingly helpful, in-depth video w/ all the comparison lip swatches! So very helpful and you've definitely helped me have a much more realistic view of this launch -- my wallet is thankful. SO appreciate how thoughtful and honest your review is. Thanks for all your hard work and just subscribed :)!
Thank you so much!! 🥹
Amazing 😻
This is the review video I’ve been looking for since the launch. Thank you for your honestly because you have saved me from making the wrong purchase
Glad I could help!
Super helpful video and your voice is so lovely and calming to listen to ☺️ thank you!
You're welcome! 😊
You do fantastic swatches and comparisons! Thank you so much for your video!
Glad you like them!
Such an informative video, best one I've seen. Really helpful, thank you 💄
I'm so glad!
I adore Lisa’s lipsticks and I’m happy to see some more cool tones. My only criticism is that so many shades are so similar to one another
Just gotta find your pperfect one 🥳
@@Aijingaling thank you! I ended up ordering all three and Painterly and Ashes of Roses 💀🤣
Hope you love them ❤️
Thank you so much for this video!
Glad I saved you some money 😘
Thank you so much for this thorough review. You've given me the best information so far.
I'm so glad! 😌
@brittanyfletcher434 thank you so much for subscribing! I read every single comment ❤
Thankyou so much for such a helpful and informative video
Thanks for watching ❤️
Yes balm embrace is a nice and easy formula and I can’t stop reaching for it 🥰
Great comparisons! I’m really glad she released more cool tones, especially after discontinuing several cool tones from the Velvet line. I got Medici as I either felt I own similar shades or they lean too warm. Also, white pigment bases does not agree with me at all. My package is on the way now and I’m looking forward to trying it!
Oh, yes, I am totally buying the dark shade when it comes!
Hope you love them when they arrive! 🥰 thank you for watching 😘
