    I couldn't agree with you more! I've been looking for a 27qhd to replace my 22hd touch and was so excited when they released this. Until I saw the specs and the price. It's not enough of an upgrade to justify the price, especially since it costs more than the 32 pro did. None of it makes sense.

    • @CreateNowSleepLater
      @CreateNowSleepLater  Год назад +3

      The other odd thing is at that price, it should have the best panel ever made. It might have to do with sacrifices they needed to make for that Pantone certification. The brightness though?

    I like the big chonkin bezels on the 24 and 32. Id probably say that with the bezels the old 24 might have more usable drawing space than this new 27.

    • @CreateNowSleepLater
      @CreateNowSleepLater  Год назад +3

      Agreed. I imagine the design choice was made to save desk real estate but in practice, made them change everything else. It would have been great to get a refresh of the Expresskey remote. Maybe even with LED like the old Intuos 4.

    Man, I am so glad you made this video! I have the 24 Pro and have been going back and forth looking at "upgrading" to the 27 Pro, but in the end it seems they put form over function. Being able to rest your forearm or wrist without being over the screen is a small, but important feature. Also, the 120hZ is the main upgrade feature, but if you don't game it's a hard sell to pay almost 2x the amount with the stand! It would be one thing if the price was even close, but it's almost like they took a step back by being too concerned with competing with the look and size of other drawing tablets. I sure hope they don't make these same decisions on upcoming changes with the 24 pro! If they kept the 24 design and added 120hZ with the pro pen 3, charged $300 to even $500 more, they would have knocked it out of the park in my opinion.

    • @CreateNowSleepLater
      @CreateNowSleepLater  Год назад +3

      I agree although if the pro pen 3 becomes backwards compatible, it’s literally the color and 120hz. I think the 27” at that point becomes negligible because your arm is covering it.

    • @CreateNowSleepLater
      @CreateNowSleepLater  Год назад +2

      Right, in reality it means you can really use the entire 27” space. I still don’t get it. It’s like the engineers aren’t even artists. Let’s reduce the express keys to 4, and make it so you have to reach around the device to use them.

    • @CreateNowSleepLater
      @CreateNowSleepLater  Год назад +1

      I did not but I am in touch with quite a few people who own it. The drawing experience is great, maybe slightly better than the current pro line. The 120hz isn’t as world changing as they hoped. In other words, I think they thought it would feel as fluid as an iPad. That isn’t a negative for me since I don’t expect emr to ever be like that. The one negative seems to be fan noise. Supposedly they are on all the time give it take and the driver does not have the option to put them low. Like I mentioned, the color stuff is the best you’ll find so if Pantone certification means anything to you, it’s your only option.

      @@CreateNowSleepLater Hey brother, thanks for that information I just saw your message just now. Yes, I keep hearing the colors have improved a bit, especially if your into printing to get the right Pantones downs... but just like you mentioned, there's not much of a different beside the slimming down of the tablet a bit. I still think the gesture controlare still trash, nothing close to the iPad but who's perfect, right. I wish the gesture control can be improve as a software update on my cintiq pro 32. I love the Pro 24. I did a full review on it but the review is a little long in the tooth. One thing about the fan noise, the back panel of the Pro 24 I left off. Plus I have it on an arm so it is well ventilated. I like being able to get to the cables and the VESA mount thing from Wacom prevents removing that back panel so I just left it off.

    Going from the pro 24 to the pro 27, I can honestly say I don’t miss the large bezels. As for the fans, they are audible, but not really distracting(I also sometimes have headphones on). Of course, this will very to the individual and whether any fan sound is acceptable. They also run much lower in power save mode, so it’s possible they may release a firmware update to control the fans(like they did for the pro 24).
    As for the price, I am using the pro 27 to replace the pro 24($2000) and the BenQ pd3200u($1200) which was highly color accurate. Including the higher refresh rate, the cost itself isn’t too hard to understand-though an included stand would’ve been nice(I ended up using my flex arm with the 27 adapter).

    • @CreateNowSleepLater
      @CreateNowSleepLater  Год назад

      Nice, thats great feedback. For me personally, its not so much the noise as much as my mic would pick it up. How would you say the drawing experience is compared to the Pro 24? In terms of the bezels, are you primarily using keyboard shortcuts?

    • @cheyespejo1112
      @cheyespejo1112 Год назад

      @@CreateNowSleepLater for the drawing experience, I definitely notice it compared to the 24. It’s more a nice improvement rather than a complete upgrade in terms of feel. I do rely most;y on keyboard shortcuts, but the touch function allows me to use gestures and on screen controls with modifiers. So far, I’ve enjoyed the touch function and find it works very well(some initial reviews had me concerned).
      Regarding the fan and mics, that’s a valid concern. I guess it would depend on where the mic is placed.

These companies are now at the point of shaving little bits off lag, parallax, refresh rate etc but its getting into marginal gains territory.
