Seriously though, I googled "Tarnished Melina Cowgirl" on my work laptop and nothing explicit came out save for like fanfiction text that doesn't have any pictures. Going to Google images just shows general Melina fanart, none that are even explicit. Safe Search is off and still nothing.
I guess all this time he suggests a topic for us to google on our work computers he was really just trying to get us to know more about the lore.

Fun Fact: Rot/decay versions of these enemies were originally meant to be present in the Grand Cloister (that area after the Lake of Rot and before Astel), but they ended up being unused in the end.

I am thankful FromSoft decided to remove them. Because, in the Convergence mod, they decided to put the archers in the lake of rot along with the Servants of Rot. It is horrible.

People shit talk malenia's artificial difficulty from her healing but then will praise and praise a mod that makes the enemies have way more health and removes all of the "cheese"
@@HoliestOfCows I wouldn't say that convergence makes the game harder. It just makes it different. Sure the enemies have more health, but if you know what you're doing that doesn't matter all too much because you're dealing more damage due to the stuff they give you. There is literally a spell from the ancestor followers path that straight up takes 15% of health from the boss and then gives it back 3 seconds later. It's effectively 15% less health on bosses.
The Ancestral followers worship a dead deer with crazy hops, so can they make the swag jump to safety first try?
He has gotten better. I think so.

The sprouting mentioned on the Winged Greathorn is talking about the budding horns that would appear on creatures that don't naturally have them (proto-omens maybe). They revered this as a holy sign, perhaps because the crucible was big enchilada back then. Still, it would suck to be like, "dang, no abnormal growths on my 16th bday, guess I'll get sacrificed to some horns on a stick."
Have you thought about trying the Ravennount Assassin secret starting class? All pretty easy to obtain, damn good weapon for both heavy and keen infusion, innate bleed, and plenty of bird jokes to make

there's a bit more to the horn born's synergy with magic arrows than what's on the surface: a bow's scaling ar is determined by the base ar of both the bow _and_ the arrow, so the horn bow not only pushes magic arrows' magic damage a bit further with its own, but it also allows that damage to scale
'course, this is several degrees more applicable to the erdtree bow with holy arrows because the horn bow has permanent _e_ scaling with int, and even those faith-pumped holy arrows aren't gonna be swinging above their weight class, but it's a fun detail that gets _extremely_ funny when applied to the serpent bow and poison because even with only d arcane scaling, it cheats with a unique scaling graph for _specifically_ poison buildup which means you get like 205 buildup per arrow at only 40 arcane
and then its aow has a 170 status mv, just in case your target has deluded itself into thinking there's any resistance to poison between "none" and "immune"

I think some people's brains have been rotted by weapons like Dark Moon Greatsword and Bloodhound Fang, to where if they can't do bosses blindfolded with a weapon it's "bad"
Aside from something like Varre's bouquet.... every weapon is at minimum viable.
If the weapon doesn’t trivialize the game and make it boring it’s not good right?
Even Varre’s Bouquet is useable, if you just want bleed.
On a 60 ARC build, you get 133 bleed, and adding blood grease (remember it can be buffed) adds an addional 62 bleed, for 195 total bleed, on a fairly fast weapon.

Basically there are no weapons that aren't viable. Less effective, sure. But no weapon is as bad as the Ancestral Infant Head, and even that "can" kill boses.

Amazing set. Wearing it now until I get to another set I want to equip. Get a dagger with a "step" Ash for the teleport and you've got a full build. Add Greathelm for style.
Too bad they don't have a unique weapon and we can't use anything that gives Deathblight besides the Eclipse Shotel.

So here's a fun suggestion, the Spectral Lance ash of war. It hurls a projectile that scales with Arcane, but I think also carries over status effects from the weapon? Not a lot of damage, but great stance pressure, a small bit of tracking, and good reach that increases with the Arrow's Reach talisman. Damage doesn't go up with the other bow talisman, though. Don't know why. Anyway, I used it on the Guardian Swordspear, paired it with The Boys to hold aggro, and it's been pretty fun so far. It's one of the builds I'm prepping to take into the dlc.
That Spectral Lance aow is amazing. Knockback, range, decent-ish ranged damage, early Ocult affinity. Nice supplement for my Arcane/Dragon Communion build.

ayo! i just started an ancestral follower build a couple weeks ago, them abstaining from metal and language made finding applicable weapons and armor a fun challenge. fun to see you taking it on as well
My favorite finger would have to be my left pinky; as a guitar player, I spent a fair amount of time building its strength, and so having a *good* left pinky has provided a differentiating factor from other players.
Never thought to use this as a run, but it brings ideas to me for some of my runs. But, what i am really looking forward to seeing you do is either a mohg or maliketh remembrance run. Thats gunna slap.

A few months ago I did an old school D&D Druid inspired run and could only wear armor and use weapons not made primarily of metal and that axe was instantly just head and shoulders above the competition, truly a slept on weapon.
I’ve got so many hours in this game and I’ve never once thought about an ancestral follower build lol. Great video

Btw the spirit ash has lifegain when enemies die, making it somewhat tanky outside of boss areas.

the horn bow can actually deal some of the highest single attack damage in the game, combine the spellblade armor + terra magicka + magic tear + all damage buffing talismans + rain of arrows
and if you REALLY want more damage you can use weapon skill buffs like the epitaph or standard and white mask/mushroom crown

It is slept on! My 2nd playthrough I used the Ancestor stuff cause I like deer n antlers n stuff, and damn that was the easiest playthrough of Elden Ring I did. Granted I also used the Death Ritual Spear in conjunction but still

You should do a ding eater play through, it’s got baisically the same ash of war as soul stifled but it’s piss yellow and the sword is amazing and so is the armor
The followers are absolutely gruul, with the shamans splashing into blue, and the spirit would be simic to cast with a red activated ability to eat other creatures like he does in the boss fight.

Problem with the antler axe is that you can just coat much better weapon with stones for even better results. It's still a good ash for godskin duo but for general combat it's outclassed by cragblade

The Horned Bow is the best damage you'll get per arrow from a bow, and using it with Enchanted Shot on a dragons face is pretty good.
I mention dragons specifically because they fly away constantly, and they're weak to peirce and headshots.

I carried the Storyteller's staff through most of Dark Souls 3 because most bosses weren't immune to its poison cloud, and the poison effect averaged 30% of their health bar in a quarter of the time all other poison effects took.
