I'm in awe watching the way Chris interacts with Cindy. He's too sweet, so genuine, and incredibly kind. What I'd give to travel to another universe where I could have had him as a friend.
I love the beginning with Chris, he seemed so much more relaxed with Cindy as a person compared to how anxious he seemed to be in formal interviews on camera. That was the Chris that his friends and people knew that audiences at home didn't always get a chance to see.
@@Studeb I mean in interviews, like on Letterman; he was always trying to poke fun at himself for how nervous he was on those shows. There was also the Chris Farley Show sketches on SNL which kind of were a self-parody of that.

This footage is an incredible time machine. Legends like Chris Farley, Phil Hartman, and Norm MacDonald now deceased. Sarah Silverman who became a huge star later but was barely remembered for her hot-minute at SNL. Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, and David Spade before all three became monster movie stars. Tim Meadows one of the longest running cast members in history. Cindy Crawford at the peak of her 90's supermodel fame. This is just a crazy time machine to anyone in their 40's or 50's right now.
The way Chris speaks to people blows my mind. He’s this huge star and yet he’s so polite and genuinely interested in talking to you. You are the most important person in the whole room
These “you had to be there” vids are wonderful. Really makes me wish I was born early enough to watch their careers as they unfolded. I can always watch reruns, but it’s just not the same !
Kids today don't even have an idea how cool MTV was back in the 90's. most famous supermodel going behind the scenes of shows, interviewing actors, musicians. It was such a great time to be alive.
Finally when you reach 40's , watch anything from end 80's and 90's Fall in tears.. Alot friends stay in the rod..im very lucky and blessing for be alive.. Thanks God
Its was shot on film in which doesn't have the limitations of digital so as long as the film is kept clean, it can be remastered to look like it was shot on modern digital cinema cameras and even +HDR10. It weird because most cinematographers want a film-like look from ProRes/RAW
MTV was probably shooting most of their shows/segments on Video tape back then and probably reserved film for special shows, a la one featuring Cindy Crawford, who was the biggest supermodel in the world at the time. The sound is also great to go along with the film. This was a very high quality production, but still felt small and Intimate.
Oh, man. This is like finding a family's cherished photo albums in the charred remains of a burned down house. Those SNL stars were just normal people with talent, working to make something funny. Heartbreaking to see Phil in his office.
Chris Farley was only celebrity I have ever cried over upon his death. Me and my friends grew up watching his movies practically every day. His humor helped me through my darkest days as a teenager growing up.
I can’t be the only one that did the math and realized this was nearly THIRTY years ago and as a 90’s kid these legendary performers are So much younger here than I am now. What have I Done with my life?? How could they all be so accomplished that young? Every frame is filled with notable people and Snoop Double D is So adorable I love him
This is awesome, being on Saturday night live is like getting on a spaceship and going to jupiter specially with these group of guys. It must have been an awesome time for all these guys. This is just awesome!
Amongst all of this greatness, I have to say I am impressed that Silverman actually knows how to throw a football. It is one of the many things that endeared me to my wife. She actually has a better throwing arm than I do.
Wow that was like viewing a world from another reality.. How surreal! RIP Chris & Phil. ps- I forgot how cool and down to earth Cindy is wow. Time really flies huh.
This 9 minutes are more worth watching than all the crappy shows MTV has showed in the past 20 years. Heck, even if was only Crawford doing her make up in her dressing room for 9 minutes straight it would still be better than the current MTV content.
The most natural laugh I ever remember seeing from Cindy was when she was doing some kind of promo thing with Chris Farley and they were in a restaurant about to order. They were looking at the menus, the server came to the table to take their order, and Farley gestured to one whole page of the menu and said "Yeah, I'll start with this side" and Cindy laughed like in the most genuine manner I'd ever seen. You gotta hand it to a man who can make even a globally famous super model giggle like a schoolgirl. I always liked to imagine he was so funny she found him irresistible and slept with him. LOL
Yeah I can say its all about not trying to be someone else and be yourself trying to be funny with ur friends or like these videos i can tell he was genuine / unique / attitude like dont give a sh*** but not in a intensive way | we can get the girl boys all depends on you. Cheers 🥂

Was thinking that recently too. I get the impression that Sandler didn't like Myers. Apparently Myers was a bit of a loner and could be difficult to work with so maybe that's why. Farley was friends with Myers though because everyone loved Farley

Sandler, Silverman, Hartmann, Farley, Spade, and Myers. It's surreal seeing some of my comedic heroes when they were my age. Holy crap!
Silverman? Really?

Hartman, Silverman, Farley, Macdonald... This is such a powerhouse of a lineup.
Not Silverman. Silverman said "I hope the Jews did kill Christ, I'd do it again in a heartbeat." No decent person jokes about things like that.
