Good to see you starting to employ single accurate casts instead of multiple false casts - master caster, Peter Hayes, does this a lot (Tom would know him as he is considered one of the greatest fly fishermen and champion casters). Your time spent with Tom was invaluable to your development though for river/stream craft, your choice of rod could be shorter and would perform better.
