quality video, honest opinions. hope you get 10k subs by the end of 2023!
Thanks very much :)))
I have this lens for about a month now and I still cant believe how good it is for the money. The only down sides is the vignette at wide apertures which can be be minimised by stopping down a bit and removed completely in post easily. The flaring can be used creatively or you can just compose your shots a bit more carefully and buy a cheap third party lens hood as the one that comes with the lens isn't great.
Best review of this lens so far I’ve seen on RUclips and yes I’ve seen all of the, even in other languages. I like the TTArtisan lenses I find they give a vintage look to the images and the vignetting gives it that character. I have the 25mm f2 the 50mm f1.2 I have image samples on my channel. I also got the 35mm f1.4 which I bought secondhand but it’s in silver and doesn’t look right on my x-s10 although takes great images. I may sell this on in future and get it in black. These things have got to match 😂. Anyway another enjoyable video from you Ross please keep them coming. 👌📸👍
Cheers Dave. Yeah I’d love to try some of their manual lenses for sure. The AF on this is great! Thanks for the comment… 👊
Love this review. Thank you!
Thanks! 🙏
First! Love your videos keep them up!
Thanks very much!!!
Actually the pics are nice! Thank you for shooting on Fujifilm camera
Cheers!!
This video sold me on this lens
Cool! Enjoy :)
I already started recommending this lens to people who want to buy their first camera + lens combo. With a used XT20 it's the perfect starter into Fujifilm.
Curious to see what other AF lenses TTartisan is going to make - hopefully a 23F2 😅
PS: TTartisan should have rather made this lens a F2, even if it would be almost twice the size - that's something still missing on Fuji completely
Yeah excited to see what they come up with next!!
Great video
Thanks!
great
For street photography would you reccommend a 200€-used fujinon 27mm or a 200€ new TTartisans 27mm? 👀
Good honest review!
I use it with XE1 and XE3 cameras... Its a good lens but i think i got a bad copy... Using AFS it doesnt nail focus on far distances ie. > 10 meters, when focusing on close subjects (ie < 5 meters) it works perfectly. Also with MF i can get crisp images no matter the distance. Have you noticed any similar issues??
I haven’t noticed any issues with focus no. Mine focuses really well! It’s just that damn vignette I’m not a fan of! Sorry you’re having issue ms with yours. Have you tried updating the firmware???
First af all, thanks for your response... Yeah, TTartisan released a new firmware V1.1.1 recently... already updated it, so camera and lens have the latest firmware. Will try to return it and get a new copy then.
@@rossandhisjpegs I see that you are using the lens with the hood on. Take the hood off and most of the vignetting goes away. Unlike Fujifilm's XF 27mm, the front element of the TTartisans is already quite well recessed in the lens body and at small risk of dirt or damage.
@@richardhale9664 Hey! Thanks for the info. All of the photographs featured in this video were shot with the lens hood off :)
Hey Ross, I just got myself an used Xe1, do you think this lens will work on it?
Not 100% sure but I would assume so yeah
I have that lens for my Nikon Z. I hate it. It "Focus Breathes" a lot on AF video mode. Viltrox lenses are far better. 😢
Yeah any Viltrox lenses or Sigma lenses I have owned are nice! To be honest I haven't used this lens since I made this video.
The title and/or your research is incorrect. The first TTArtisan autofocus lens is the AF 32mm. This 32mm is for Nikon Z mount ONLY. Maybe that's why you are not aware of it because you use Fujifilm X system.
The title should be change to: "....first AF lens from TTArtisan for Fujifilm x mount....."
