I remember my first time hearing Maiden (mid eighties,) Paul’s vocals were absolutely perfect for those two albums. Remember Tomorrow will always be one of my absolute favorites! Rest in peace, Paul.
RIP Paul! I always loved your raw vocal style and phrasing! You never know how much you miss someone until they're gone. Di'Anno, Van Halen, Dimebag...so many more! They were part of my whole life, and im 55 now. To me, it's almost like losing an old friend that I never met. At least thier music lives on!
He passed on the 21st..oct..he was the best maiden singer!! Thank you pauly!! All these yrs of great metal!!!godbless you mate!! Ill see you when i come through upstairs!!! ❤🇺🇲🇬🇧🇩🇪💪😎81's love you forever!!! FPPF
I remember going to the record store and seeing Eddie on the cover. I never heard of Iron Maiden before, but seeing that album cover I had to buy it. Not knowing what to expect I played it and was blown away. This was something special to me and to this day the albums Iron Maiden and Killers are always on my playlist. RIP Paul, heaven's band just got better.
RIP Paul! THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF MAIDEN! One of my FAVORITE Maiden songs? "Prodigal Son" from Killers! In my opinion, VERY SOOTHING and GREAT FOR CONTEMPLATION! In my opinion, a TRUE RARITY-JUST LIKE YOURSELF!
i’ve been listening to Maiden for over 40 years. Iron Maiden and Killers are 2 albums that made the footprint for other bands to step in and be successful in the metal genre. He is one of the reasons I still listen and attend Iron Maiden shows today at 58 years old. Up the Irons.
The King of Punk Metal has passed, but will never be forgotten. Those first two Maiden albums will always be the best to Punks and Metalheads alike. I'm glad he finished his album, Warhorse, before he died, it's his tribute to all of his Heavy Metal fans.
@@MetalForce-j8h - Yeah I get so fed up with folk who clearly know nothing about metal regurgitating the same old nonsense about this. Nothing even remotely punk about the first albums. A raw NWOBHM sound and a movement that is totally opposed to the punk ethos and dedicated to the legacy of the 70s rock bands and keeping them alive. Glad to see someone who has some knowledge speaking out on this.
Man this hurts to hear!! He was a BEAST on the mic!!!! First album will always be my favorite!!! R.I.P with the rest of the rock legends!!! He’s joining forces again with Clive Burr and there Rocking the Heavens!!!
We have been extremely lucky to witness first hand what future generations will refer to as the apogee of music. So many legends, so many great albums, and works of art. It’s sad to see them go. RIP Paul.
The first two IM releases were much more agreesive and raw and will always be my favorites by the band! Paul di'anno was a integral part of that sound! Paul is not gone his voice lives on!!🤘
Nah! Rock and Roll Hall of Fame does not deserve it. Stop making the curators of that thing an authority on who’s and who’s not to be consecrated. They have nothing but mépris for Heavy Metal. Screw them dude! « Die with your boots on »
Saw him at last in August. Been a major fan since 1980. I feel blessed to have finally seen him live and play a classic maiden set. Godspeed Paul. your voice and songs will always be here. Thankyou
Great singer and really nice guy. Very kind. His records with Maiden always my favorites… by far. His rhythmic approach accentuated Harris’ galloping bass to create a unique metal roll that bit! \m/ He will live on.
This was a very nice little video... I still listen to those albums all the time and still remember every lyric... Rest now brother.... You're in a place we couldn't possibly ever imagine. God bless and thank you for your influence on me and the entire Metal community...
This was nicely done, very informative and touching tribute. Paul will be missed but never forgotten. I how ever sadly feel he never really realized how deep or far he went or to what level unless he somehow see's the world's reaction to his loss from the spirit world.
R.I.P. to a Bone Fide Punk-Metal Legend. He always shied away from this label but it was true, Two Great Studio albums for Iron Maiden and an incredible live album for them too " MAIDEN JAPAN ", also a long and creative solo career, my fave albums were Murder One and Living Dead. Such a unique voice, tone and delivery. Paul will never be forgotten.
Out of the Winter came a WARHORSE OF STEEL! What a singer. What a frontman. What a guy! Salute to Paul - with a glass of something strong from Kentucky
RIP Paul, many thanks for having come to Argentina several times..despite your health issues, you showed your beast..your beasty voice. Remember 2009 when you were at a lost club in Quilmes Buenos Aires.
Paul Dianno wasn’t my favorite Iron Maiden singer but I do love the first two albums that he was on. I had never heard of Iron Maiden but after seeing the video for the song “Wrathchild” I immediately went out and bought “Killers” and it was the first Iron Maiden song that I ever learned to play. God Bless you Paul and may you rest in eternal peace.❤️🙏🤘
My good friend died few years ago , a big maiden Di Anno fan , it was my privilege to take him to see Paul before he died , A s a skilled guitarist I can only hope they may be playing together somewhere now ,
Iron Maiden was great for several years, but the first two albums hold a special place in my mind & my heart . R.I.P. Paul & thanks for your part in making 2nd -wave metal so damn good !!
I saw you for the first time way back in 1981 and I learned to love Maiden thanks to your voice! It was deeply exciting to meet again in 2023 at the MetalItalia festival🤘💔 Ciao fratello Paul r.i.p.
Never forget when in 1980 i heard what is my favorite album of all time "Iron Maiden". Changed my life Forever. And only with Paul's vocals those 2 first Maiden albuns are such Real Life changing moments. RIP Paul a Real and True Legend. We all gonna miss you. 🙏👏👏👏🤘🤘🤘🙏
Rest in Power Paul. I met him back in to 2006 in my country, Costa Rica. It was a great show and he had a gentle soul. As you know, our country is very small, we grew up with the idea idea that Iron Maiden will never played in the country. And when Paul announced two shows in 2006 and 2007, We couldn't believe it, so we were very happy. Later on, Iron Maiden itselft came to the country in 2008 and it was magical. But, everything began with Paul. I will never forget those shows! Thank u mate.
RIP Paul, a definite icon and pioneer of the NWOHM, he always had a Lemmy edge to his presence and attitude to rocknroll, he is also another bridge between punk and metal that will always be present right up to this day. He hasn't died, but simply become music, which is all he would have wanted 🎶🎶🎶.
☹️ R.I.P🤘 Iron Maiden 1980 is a very Beautiful & powerfull Heavy Metal classic. Bands like Dissection, Children Of Bodom wouldve sounded very different without Iron Maiden 🌹
Rest in Peace the great Paul DiAnno. Thank you for the wonderful music and singing you gave us. I will never forget the feeling of putting the vinyl on my turntable back in mid 1980 of the 1st Iron Maiden album and hearing your incredible voice and vibe. 🙏🎶
Paul jamais será esquecido, sua performance de palco no Maiden, sua voz perfeita ,dois álbuns fantásticos com o Maiden e seu carinho com os Headbangers Brasileiros, descanse em Paz Paul ! Nunca te esqueceremos .
I was introduced to Paul in 1991 in Hollywood he was touring with his band we had fun and spent a week or so with him while in LA he was a cool guy to be around great memories
I was indoctrinated to Maiden with the first 2 albums and I still listen to them almost every week at some point . I am now 62 and it really hurts my heart when I hear of legends that I grew up with are slowly passing away . Paul Di’Anno ….RIP my friend , you will always be remembered.
So his "spooky" last were: "Keep the fire burning. Never let the music down." I clicked for that click bait. There´s nothing spooky about that. Most annoying is the AI voice delivering a requiem. Those first two albums of Iron Maiden are all you need of Iron Maiden. "Battlezone" is also way better than what Iron Maiden did at that time. Paul DiAnno, rest in peace.
Early Maiden was perfect for Paul's vocal style. I remember buying the Killers album and that thing wore down my needle fast. Paul will certainly be missed and may he R. I. P
He was perfect for making iron maiden aggressive and when he sung the song Remember tomorrow he showed how huge of a range he could cover may he rest in peace we will miss this gifted singer 👍👍👍🙂

A very profound statement. Especially since I was one of those rebellious youths!

The first two maiden albums are classics! Was a great singer and will be missed! 😢 R.I.P.
So true.
So many awesome songs, and many just don’t feel right with Bruce singing them. Wrathchild for example.
Beautiful tribute.
Thank you.

There are a lot of us who owe a debt to Derek Riggs. As do I. M.. They treated him poorly too.
RIP Paul. You will never be forgotten
I like Bruce but Paul was something else. The first 2 records from Maiden are imo their best ones a lot because of Paul´s voice !!

Iron Maiden is inside our hearts, our minds, RRHF is nothing.
There’s a dozen or so rappers in the RRHF. So, at this point, Maiden should consider it an insult to be inducted.
