i will never forget the show i went to in 2014. more staff and band members then audience. and a lot of trouble with the sound but he still played like he was in front of 100000s of people. a solid bloke and we will miss him dearly.
He was a major part of my childhood, I got into Iron Maiden thanks to my late father and he made sure that I got into them chronologically, so Di'Anno fronted Maiden has always been something that I love! R.I.P, Paul, keep raising hell and with your musical legacy, you will live on forever!
The sad thing for me about Paul's passing is I was kind of hoping Iron Maiden would take a page from Helloween and have a big reunion gig with ALL the vocalists - Paul, Bruce, and Blaze - together, singing the songs from the albums they were featured on and providing some added vocal backups for each other on the others that were not "their songs". Helloween pulled it off fantastically without it becoming a "frontman surge" or anything like that - so Maiden could have easily executed their own "Pumpkins United" (I guess for IM it would be more of a "Killers United") gig.

About 30 years ago, I was at a rock bar in Cardiff, that was having an 80s metal themed night and I got up and sang Prowler, Wrathchild and Murders In The Rue Morgue and everyone there said I sounded just like Paul. Singing is easy if you have a naturally good voice and you know what to do with it. Bruce has done a great job of singing Phantom Of The Opera, Wrathchild, Murders In The Rue Morgue, but not that great on Remember Tomorrow and Strange World. And to be perfectly honest, Paul’s singing and performances had deteriorated these past 20 years especially. Paul was a decent singer, but only when he was in his prime.

He was my favorite singer, he put his soul in to all of his songs. Iron Maiden Killers was my favorite album. That was an influential album for the thrash/death and speed metal to come soon after
I am big fan of Paul's maiden era. I listened to them mainly on the last year. I am 22 but the passing of Paul Dia'nno for me is so heart breaking. RIP Paul Dianno, thank you for two legendary maiden masterpieces🕊🤘

I saw Paul at a Killers show in a small bar in London in 1998 .. there was maybe 50 people there at most. The majority of the crowd were from Scandinavia. Paul, I am sorry to say was absolutely coked out of his mind. During soundcheck. He was standing at the bar at 4pm in the afternoon gurning so much my eyes started ro water looking at him. RIP

Big R.I.P to Paul DiAnno. Killers and Iron Maiden were classic albums, and paved the way for those coming afterwards. Saw him on his feet a few years ago in Rhodes, playing his Maiden tunes, and he was on the Jack Daniels throughout the show, like it was 7 up.

'Cause when I first got sick, I had to get medevaced from Argentina, which cost me a lot of money, 'cause I had to [be transported] in a private medical plane and all that stuff back. When I arrived in England, I only had 45 minutes to live, with sepsis and that. So they pumped me full of antibiotics. I spent eight months in hospital. So the last bit of the treatment, the band was really cool - they paid for the last couple of months' worth of treatments, which was good. I'll be forever grateful for that." So, I'd say you are very wrong. To pay for a couple of months of treatment in hospital is more than a symbolic gesture.

Iron Maiden were contacted by Paul's people and as they said, Iron Maiden: "have kindly agreed to cover the remaining cost of Paul Di'Annio's operation". So, Iron Maiden did not take the initiative to help him. Paul's people had to contact the band and ask for help. Sorry pal, not enough for me.

I love the band and is my favorite band. But.... they could have helped him. Why not doing some shows like they did for Clive? Or at least an auction to support him. Paul was touring because he needed it, not because he was loving it. The band doesn't look well in the picture here!
