We all love Bruce but the first two albums with Paul Di anno had something special... it was a different band, a different type of music and a different era. Probably only over 50 people may understand what i mean. Thank you Paul ❤

Bruce is right about that Paul is upstairs or downstairs.
But he is completely wrong about that weather you believe in God or not doesn’t matter. Actually it matters. And this is the thing that determines your way up or down after your passing. And down is not fun. Hell is eternal torment. And Heaven also is real thanks to the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Everything (including music) without putting Jesus first is an idol leading us “downstairs”.

    Iron Voice, Eternal Legacy
    May 17, 1958 - October 21, 2024
66 years of life, forever in our hearts
With Iron Maiden, he rose to fame,
First two albums, his legendary claim.
Phantom of the Opera, his iconic roar,
Killers, Woman in Uniform, forever more.
    Remember Tomorrow, Sanctuary's might,
Running Free, his spirit took flight.
Battlezone, Killers, solo paths he'd stride,
Leaving marks, his voice would not subside.
Health battles waged, with courage bold,
Recent struggles shared, his story unfold.
Today, we mourn, a heavy metal heart,
Lost to silence, his powerful part.
Prayers ascend, to family and friends,
    Ex-bandmates, till the very end.
Up the Irons, a rallying cry,
Paul Di'Anno's legacy, never to die.
His voice still echoes, through time and space,
In metal hearts, his memory holds its place.
Rest now, Paul, your songs remain,
Forever in our souls, your iron reign.

They had contact with him in their private lives, there was absolutely no reason for him to be brought on stage with them ever. Not once!!
And this wasn’t done to promote anything, it was just a break in the set where Bruce made this statement rather than talking about something else.
If you’ve ever been to a maiden concert you’d know that there’s breaks like that multiple times throughout and Bruce fills the time talking to the crowd while the crew is preparing sets and the rest of the band are changing guitars and catching their breath etc.

Interesting how a friend of mine was at this show last night and we spoke on the phone about Maiden prior because I never really got into them even though I appreciate the music and talent.
