Wow, it's sounds amazing, owner of the big TG mic, it's really a litte different, seems even better, no more issues with sibilance! Thank you for doing this video!

I’ve got the other TG mic as well and feel the same way. The Type L seems really smooth.

@@MillSounds Any chance you might be willing to shoot a quick head to head with the OG TG (Flat)? If not, all good, I'd just be super curious to hear them head to head. Also, sorry, when I say quick, I know that any video isn't super quick or easy, and it's a lot of work, but just putting it out there, no pressure or anything.

Wow - talk about timing?? I'm picking up my brand new REDD mic and J45 tomorrow afternoon! :D
Looking forward to your review of that combo, too.
I'm big on TG pres/EQs and have the line mixer. That mic is a winner, too. Cheers from Toronto!

Oh wow, that’s crazy! Enjoy the REDD mic, I bet it will sound killer on the J-45.

Having the two sounds left and right popped that overall tone considerably. Just mono I think I preferred A in the acoustic. For vocals, I was surprised how much I liked B. Just a smooth solid capture.

David and I were both surprised by how much more we liked System B on his voice. It almost sounded compressed, much different than System B on the original TG mic.

This mic has a color and texture that just isn’t achievable by anything in its class!

Thank you! I'm curious about that hollow body electric and what amp you are using? Sounds amazing!

That was at my friends place, I’ll have to ask. I just grabbed whatever was close by and plugged in 😂. Guitar is an old Harmony with gold foil pickups, amp was a converted theater projector that you can see in the background.

How do these rate with the Vanguard’s? I am teaching again. This time on the basic construction of a microphone.

I need to use it more and listen when I get back to my space. Initial impressions are good, I think I might like it more than the original/more expensive TG mic. It’s still got the TG harmonics and midrange, but seems warmer and smoother on top. Sounds very different than any of the Vanguard mics, still more aggressive.

Why does no one ever show the inside of this mic?
