Great video on a great watch...! I purchased my Pam 176 about 10 years ago and the watch has been incredibly reliable, I love the size, the cleanliness of the dial with the sandwich dial and being over 50 it really helps with the larger numbers to read and tell the time. Congratulations!
Great pick up, looks flawless. I recently got a 2004 PAM111 with the older "Panerai" engraved ETA movement. Love it. It was in pristine condition so must've been refinished but done well. I ended up with 3 OEM straps, the dark brown Assolutamente looks the business.
Two handed watches always reminds me of my favourite Lou Reed quote......”one chord is fine two chords is pushing it and three chords, well that’s jazz”
Awesome video Bruce. I really like Panerai, there is nothing like them. The one you've got is a stunner, especially since you can see the nice movement.
Seems like there’s an increase in love for Panerai lately. Having tried one in store pre Covid, I understanding why. Stunning watches, stunning visuals here as usual too. Keep up the good work! 👍
Enjoyed this review. My Panerai journey commenced with a Luminor Marina 240 in Titanium, and that brushed case finish gave it a real tactical look. Then on to a Radiomir 183H wire lugs for a more historic piece, slim and dare I say elegant! Then recently I walked by a grey market dealer who had a used 2005 Pam LM logo in the window, sad and neglected but with box and papers. I had to free this from its window prison, I purchased it and off it went to the Panerai service centre in Milan, under 4 weeks with them and returned in pristine condition to be one of my daily wears. Enjoy yours ( by your body language in the review you are already!!) .
I found myself there barely a year ago and took the leap. I don’t regret it. I actually got a 176 like the one in the video. Panerai has unique features and simplicity that demand a certain level of gained maturity to properly appreciate.
I have my PAM312 for over an year. Absolutely stunning watch. I believe you'll appreciate this beauty! Just bought my second Panerai - PAM112. Hope to experience the same feelings!
I just picked up my first PAM after 14 years of collecting. Never thought I would own one but I came around to it. My tastes right now include clean dials, symmetry, time only, unique but conservative (if that makes sense), and some brand pedigree. I have 17cm wrist and was always afraid of the size. I picked up a PAM773 - Luminor Base Logo - and I'm absolutely loving it too. The OEM rubber is simply amazing. If you avoid the 1950s case, the 44mm Luminor is quite wearable. The PAM joins my Speedy FOIS, OP36, and BB36 in rotation. Funny enough, I traded a Medium sized Reverso for the PAM, pretty dramatic different right?
Picked up this exact same model used from Japan this week. My first high end swiss watch and just love how unique and clean it is. Dwarfs my other watches but it's not afraid to be its own distinct self, a keeper for sure
Hola Bruce!, How do you decide which watch to wear for the day?. I have two dressier pieces which I use Monday to Friday and for the weekend depending on the activity (sport, beach, going out, ...), I travel quite frequently, then I pick my GMT. I believe that would be interesting for a video. Greetings from Spain!!!.
That's why I went with a Hamilton for $400 instead of a Panerai for $4000. I just couldn't justify spending TEN TIMES the price on a watch that uses essentially THE SAME SWISS ETA MOVEMENT! lol I do still dig the 'sandwich' dials though... And now that Panerai started offering their own 'in-house' movement they've become a bit more desireable, however the price also went up along with the introduction of their unique movement.
Panerais are beautiful and so underrated, I have a PAM1312 but am looking to add a nice Bettarini too, you definitely opened my eyes for the 176! Such a sweet watch
Great video, thank you. Awesome intro. Been looking at this brand for a while, particularly the PAM 111. This one you chose is awesome, nice and light with the titanium. Probably super easy to wear. I may have to rethink the direction I am going here.
Welcome to the owners club and congrats! What is great is how a simple strap change can completely re-invigorate excitement about the same timepiece. Happy strap hunting 😀
I've had this on wrist twice. I never thought I'd be drawn to the titanium but I loved it. I was also surprised that i preferred the 44mm to the 42mm pams on my 6.7 inch wrist. No room in the rotation at the moment luckily $$$
I somehow missed this when it came out. Funny, because I just picked up a white dial 114 LE. I'm glad mine has the minute indices, but the rest of your review is spot on! I never even thought of Panerai, but my hunt for a 📦 ✔ white dial over 40mm as a jeans & brown leather GADA took over. I'm thinking this might be my 1st ever "keeper". Thanks again for sharing your journey!
Just got my first Pam. The minimalist dial always spoke to me. I never would have thought I love the Bettarini case so much. This is my grail watch. To those who don’t like Panerai, that is okay. I like my Pam00796 a lot! And many Panatisti like their watches as well.
Picked up my first Panerai up Saturday ( Submersible Amagnetic - 47mm PAM01389) and I love it! I have other brands (Rolex, 2 Omegas, and Breitling) and this by far is my favorite watch! Nice choice!
Something about old Italian designs... I'm on my 2nd classic Ducati 🏍️. Do like the Panerai, but for the money I'd get another bike. Good review, nice piece. Like the lack of seconds, more laid back. Cheers mate 👍🏻👍🏻
Great vid and great watch! Im a proud italian owner of a Radiomir 210, historical collection was and will always be the best of Panerai line, modern references kind of lost the magic. Panerai is passion and loyalty to the history. Btw, It's panerista, non paneristo 😉 evviva Panerai, passione e tradizione! Ciao da Torino, Italia!
You seriously have my dream collection. Speedmaster, rolex would be day date and vacheron constantin overseas 🙌 currently have panerai in my collection pam00927 and I love it
Fantastic intro Bruce. Keep up the great work. As a long time follower it is great to see the progress in your content. I own the same reference Speedmaster. I know you prefer bracelets, but you owe to yourself to try the OEM alligator with deployment buckle. It’s going to cost $610, but I don’t even consider the bracelet anymore.
I have searched for a long time and never got an answer. Maybe you know? The base Panerai all have the distorted sapphire at extreme angles. Is this because the base models use a cheap crystal or because it’s domed? On the 1950 case you don’t get that
Hey bud great vid Quick question I’d really ❤️to purchase A pan sandwich fail just like yours I’ve been after one on an off no joke What price in the US should I be looking to pay Thank you Looking forward to yr response
I love this model right here. Plain and simple. I'm wondering, how and where did you go about purchasing this piece? I hear it's very easy to make replicas. Which is why I'm hesitant about purchasing used models. Please, if you have a minute, I would appreciate it my guy. Thank you!
Big congrats Bruce & welcome to the brotherhood of Paneristi! My PAM111 is also a classic ETA time-only piece and I own it since 5 years now. I tought about selling it multiple times but in the end I could never do it! And I'm so glad that I never did! Your green strap fits perfectly the Ti case of hits model! Have lots of fun with it, Bruce! Btw. the leather straps are made by Hirsch, at least for a long time. Some of the original leather straps even have the "Made in Austria" stamp on it. But I don't know if this is still the case for modern Panerai watches.
I have two subs the bmg tech and titanium, radiomir 45mm back seal and the 47 mm California dial 424 and the luminor gmt 3 day reserve, Went to Flornece this year and bought the 422 and a due for my wife the whole experience was out of this world will defo go back at some point
Na, I have one and am completely content and only want the one as it was carefully thought out and selected. The strap game keeps it fresh for me. I don’t get those who get multiple pieces that are vastly similar, I like variety in my collection.
Hey Bruce I have an (authenticated) Luminor PAM005 (steel with sub-seconds) and the thing ticks so loudly I can hardly wear it around the house without hearing it constantly. Does yours have the same distinctive ticking? Does it bother you?
Beautifully composed and crafty worded review. Great job! Congratulations on a find of your dream! You deserve it... I would pick exactly same model with exactly same case finish. Good taste! Rubber strap - green or black. Leather (hate crocodile) but other times work well for Panerai, but impractical in hot climate with sweat issues... $5000 US for a utility watch - is a lot of money, I would always feel that I paid too much and was ripped off... Sweeping seconds hand is a must for me - it is a run of time for me and any watch looks dead for me (tower clock is the only exception). Great watch!!! Overvalued in my opinion...
Beautiful watch.
Panerai can be spotted from 3 meters away - mad respect for anyone rocking these - pure class
Building a nice collection Bruce 👍. Best thing about panerai is that nothing else looks like a panerai.
Congratulations !
2 years ago i bought myself a Pam 112. It´s a realy nice watch,still like her.
Congrats man ! Great watch and strap. I have been thinking about tat strap . i like the white one as well......
Great video on a great watch...!

Thanks for the review 👍
Just the most beautiful and simple
Design front and back....love it!
Cheers Bruce from 🇬🇧
Love PAM, that piece is a great tool watch and fills a perfect spot in your collection.
Love this! I own the PAM 0177 - very similar to yours, bought it new 10 years ago from the AD and still love it! Simplicity and beautiful!
Beautiful watch. Awesome design. Lovely finished movement. Stays true to its history with the movement. Future collectible.
I’m glad you finally get to experience Panerai. You’ve been jonesing it for a long time.
Beautiful intro Bruce and very thorough videos as always. Love the content my friend keep up the great content!
Looks very sharp on you. The strap is a versatile choice too. Congrats.
I appreciate that, thanks!
Italian spell check: the singular of Paneristi is PaneristA😉 Sorry for the petty spell check, good vid!
appreciate that, corrected the title!
Wonderful video Bruce! Ciao dall'Italia
Nice piece Bruce, I just picked up my 1st, 2008 ETA based PAM 299 as I wanted a bracelet to start. Never thought I’d buy one.....glad I did.
Great pick up, looks flawless. I recently got a 2004 PAM111 with the older "Panerai" engraved ETA movement. Love it. It was in pristine condition so must've been refinished but done well. I ended up with 3 OEM straps, the dark brown Assolutamente looks the business.

You’re upping your game on the intro. Almost looks like a collab with Oisin O’Malley.
Thanks, I've been enjoying doing longer intros. Though this is the longest I think you date
Oisin O'Malley, TTWC. Great stuff aswell
Don't encourage him 😂
Very nice 👍. My favourite of your collection next to the VC.
Love the intro! And congrats on the new acquistion.
Awesome video Bruce. I really like Panerai, there is nothing like them. The one you've got is a stunner, especially since you can see the nice movement.
the music is terrific, love it

😂window prison
Props on a feast for the eyes as well as the ears. I appreciated your phrasing and word choices.
Thank you
I didn’t get the whole attraction of Panerai, until I tried one on over the summer. It’s on my short, short list. Nice nod to TTWC, as well Bruce.
I found myself there barely a year ago and took the leap. I don’t regret it. I actually got a 176 like the one in the video. Panerai has unique features and simplicity that demand a certain level of gained maturity to properly appreciate.
Excellent find Bruce!
Now I want to get an olive green strap for my PAM111
haha I bought an extra if you want mine. Email me if you do
47mm bronzo here. Love it!
Wonderful video and a beautiful watch. Purchased a PAM00111 and am happy to be a member of the paneristi.
The freakin intro is better than a watch commercial.
Thought I'd tuned in to the "Timeless Watch channel" with that intro,,,
homage??,,, lol....
I'll take that as a compliment. TTWC is one of the best
I like Panerai. I've come back to this brand and came close to a purchase several times.
Lenny: “What’s this? What’s this?!”
Congrats on the Panerai Bruce. Very nice example. Best regards, John
Good thing you’ve posted a video of a panerai. I just bought now mine PAM312 and I truly satisfied my purchase 😍😍😍
I have my PAM312 for over an year. Absolutely stunning watch. I believe you'll appreciate this beauty! Just bought my second Panerai - PAM112. Hope to experience the same feelings!
I love this watch! I would choose one with a seconds-handle but love yours too.
Thats something so rare, as an actual REAL tool watch, with the perfect choice in movement👍👍👍 Congrats 👍👍👍
Love this, awesome vid (intro and macro content ) It also looks amazing on you, congrats.
Thank you!

Picked up this exact same model used from Japan this week. My first high end swiss watch and just love how unique and clean it is. Dwarfs my other watches but it's not afraid to be its own distinct self, a keeper for sure
Same here. 17 cm wrist, 1950 case too big, Bettarini case fits well and comfy. 👍
PAMs have to be experienced. The dogmatic anti-PAM talking points come from nonowners. Owners love their PAMs.

Great Job! Well articulated.

Greetings from Spain!!!.
I own panerai. I think paneristi has a weird horology love. Because we know that the movement isnt special, but still we pull the trigger
That's why I went with a Hamilton for $400 instead of a Panerai for $4000. I just couldn't justify spending TEN TIMES the price on a watch that uses essentially THE SAME SWISS ETA MOVEMENT! lol

Bruce I’m part of your patreon group, and wanted to send you a message to do a review on panerai. It’s like you read my mind. Thanks!
Introduction is like an Oisin from TTWC production, love it! Can see a market for this kind of intro as it’s amazing
I've had this on wrist twice. I never thought I'd be drawn to the titanium but I loved it. I was also surprised that i preferred the 44mm to the 42mm pams on my 6.7 inch wrist. No room in the rotation at the moment luckily $$$
Panerai works at these large sizes for sure
Hope you’re still enjoying your Panerai.
I just purchased a Radiomir Black Seal Ceramic and it really rocks.
The intro was truly amazing, props to you Bruce!
Btw the singular for "paneristi" is "panerista" (I'm Italian and here in Rome we say "panerista")
Thanks, corrected the title!
Check out Toshi straps based in the UK, specialises in leather straps for Panerai
Thx for the proposal 👍🏻
with this beautiful wind-up timepiece visible behind the glass, the most beautiful Panerai of all time.
LOL thanks for bringing up my question on IG. Great video!

Great 4 piece collection! Just about to pull the trigger on a panerai myself.... Too much choice though!
was about to order a PAM 00328, then saw this video, now i ordered the 00176 and the same strap! thanks bro!!
Great Vid. #paneristi pls show more of your Panerai thoughts 👍💪🏻
Love the intro, I for sure thought it was Vilvaldi.
Bruce check out the Pam 735, pretty awesome movement for the horology nutt , insane green dial , and perfect size .
Oh yeah thats a sweet one
Which REF. Number is the Panerai please?
do you know what that back is the + and - and the back
I used to own many Panerais and eventually trim down to 2. Panerai 00176 is one of the 2.
Liked your intro and the watch. On my wish list, want a watch that watch people will know what it is.
Awesome vid! O’Malley would be proud..
I have also been bitten by the panerai bug! I got a hard on for the new Pam 915. So tempted to buy . Cheers mate 🥃
🍺
Beautiful watch. But I found it funny with all the Italian scenery you were showing then you pan to the watch and it says swiss made. Lol
Something about old Italian designs... I'm on my 2nd classic Ducati 🏍️. Do like the Panerai, but for the money I'd get another bike.
Good review, nice piece. Like the lack of seconds, more laid back.

You can dive with a Panerai whenever you want, but you can only dive with a Ducati once 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love Ducati
Had a 97 Monster regret selling it
@@michaelmetler6315 😂 indeed, i try to keep dry, 20 year old Italian electrics 😱🤣

Sorry Bruce the correct name of a Panerai collector is "panerista", nice video, love the sandwich dial.
Whatever happened to this piece Bruce? Why did you end up selling?
Why must I find this watch so appealing!?!? My taste are changing towards it
Wt model is this? 112?
Awesome 👏
What size is your wrist?
Very Timeless Watch Channel inspired start
I take that as a compliment. Oisin has a fantastic channel
@@BruceWilliams Absolutely. He is a star

The intro music was incredible. Can anyone tell me the title of the composition?
I want this... but I also want the one with the little seconds hand and auto winding....
Accuracy?
Is the word "officine" on the strap French for office-use only?
lol its about all I've used it for so far. Won't stay that way though
means “workshop” in Italian
